Making a Cherry Blossom Aquaterrarium

- Spring in Japan is known for the blooming of cherry blossoms. Cherry blossom viewing, or hanami, is a traditional Japanese celebration of this beautiful sight.
The blooming period is only for a very short one to two weeks.
Because of the short blooming period, cherry blossoms are thought to be symbolic of the concept that “nothing is permanent”.

【Cherry Blossom Aquaterrarium 30×30×45cm】
could you show us the names of all your tools and materials next time? I'd love to try this stuff ♥
Jade Baxter
I figured the stuff from this video
clearish glue stuff (sometimes looks black when on foam) is silicone, the netting is mosquito netting, regular prices of black foam, masking tape.
I know that’s not all the ingredients but it is some of them
@@kristindionne3256 the silicone is black its not clear
The rocks look like ohko stone or seiryu stone.
The dirt-like mixture looks like LECA and peat moss or coir? and the third ingredient is undoubted long fiber sphagnum moss.
I can't say for sure beyond that, but most of the ingredients are common in the aquarium and vivarium hobbies, especially aquariums.
if you try this, search for a silicone that does not contain fungicide otherwise it will kill your plants (especially moss)

良くできますわ。すごすぎる。

I was actually curios if these cute little plants live long after the building and crafting finishes.
no they won’t. the moss maybe
Cause *_kokedama_*
Its a bonsai, obviously it Will survive
i think that most of the moss will survive. The cherry blossom itself (i think) should be removed because there isn't much space for the roots to grow around as well as the lack of soil around it. I may be wrong because they cut the clip after putting the cherry blossom in, but it looks like they pulled it out of a kokedama which itself has media within it but has to be showered/submerged periodically. if the plant is getting water, it should be able to survive. living long might be a different story. the plant itself wants to grow larger, but if restricted can be maintained and kept small. the roots can also be trimmed periodically (a technique done in Bonsai). i would assume the build is temporary, lasting maybe two or three years at most before it needs an overhaul. I could be wrong, and if i am, please don't hesitate to say so!
James Thomas this sounds logical enough 👍🏻
Beautiful work. Love watching it being made. Do you ever do follow up vids? Like, how it looks 3 weeks later? How you trim the plants and keep it looking good?
Yeah or throws it out

Since I have a mile long gravel driveway, I can't help but have my favourite part be when he's gluing down the rocks. Every time, I just cheer for the rocks!
All of the videos on this channel are very calming, thank you
Please share us with the cleaning n maintenance of such aquarium..
Can you add materials used and dimensions as well in description. It would be of great help
You can show the results a little longer. It’s just as peaceful to watch.
this is so therapeutic to watch omg
Thanks for another lovely relaxing video. Happy to see you mixing substrates beforehand and pressing that dirt into the silicone. Are you having trouble with adhesion because the surfaces are wet before the silicone dries?
Love the ASMR part of your videos, its even more relaxing to watch
Wait, they have Sakura bonsai?? I've never seen a seasonal flowering tree as a bonsai. Can they make any tree a bonsai nowadays? o_o
Beautiful work!
Yea. It's amazing. Look up wisteria bonsai. They're absolutely stunning. They take so long to flower, but are so worth it! Wisteria and banyan trees are two of my favorite to see. :)
Fruit tree bonsai will blow your mind
The only thing is that to really thrive bonsai need to live outdoors like real trees. Check out Heron Bonsai here on RUclips. Peter Chan is no nonsense and very beginner friendly! He even has videos on bonsai for free (things you can harvest from your own yard or kind neighbors). I'd never seen anyone take holly sprouts, from bird droppings, or oak saplings and turn them into bonsai but they were great!
Awesome man!! Whats the black board you were using for the structure and what is the white glue you used called? I just came up with an idea, I think it'll look DOPE if you had a Betta fish in there! Man im in love with this style of aquarium. Its a perfect way to show how nature works with itself! AWESOME man!!
I want too know about the black board...
Black boards are styrene boards without paper.
Beautiful, as always.
again , I have to watch several times , just to try to catch up , and , no talking ,,,,,,,,,,,,, PRICELESS
These are some stunning little aquascapes that many would love to have. One thin though. The pumps do seem rather noisy and detract from the ambiance and calming effect of the water.
Your videos are so satisfying to watch
The sound of that foam makes me happy lol. I need to find some so i can have it on hand at home 😂
So beautiful! You are so talented and the videos are great tutorials
The moss is so fresh and nice to see.
生花の先生の息子さんなのかと思ってしまう🌸
美しいです。
I watch youre videos, & i must say all of the art you created. Is just beautiful. :)
I love this build
すげぇ、、、、
このチャンネルは伸びる(確信)

It's amazing as always
Great ASMR 😁
So pretty.
素晴らしい!amazing!
Beautiful
Hello and thank you for this new sharing of your creations. Will this branch of cherry tree survive long in this environment, and if so will there be flowers again the following year?
Can you tells us where you got the stuff plz
Very beautiful
“ *𝐿𝐸𝑇 𝑀𝐸 𝐿𝐼𝑉𝐸 𝑇𝐻𝐸𝑅𝐸 𝐴𝐴𝐴* .”
Beautiful - wonder how often you have to clean the water or change it and how long the plant lives?
Очень круто. Красота. Лайк.
😀Волшебно!👏👏👏👏👏👏
wish there where more geniuses like you!!
so beautiful. what may i ask is the purpose of the wool cloth?
Filter any dirt or rocks so they don't clogged up the pump.
Lovely, but we all know what an ephemeral beauty the cherry blossoms are.
I like it
As pretty as ever...
Just a bit curious, why did you use the heater in this work?
今まで、タンクの中で、魚がいますか?虫がいますか?トカゲがいますか?すばらしそう!ビデオありがとう🌸
this may be a dumb question but doesn't the filter get too dirty eventually? how is it cleaned
❤️ it
🙏🏻 Mumbai India 🇮🇳
Anyone know what kind of rock/stone he use?? Thanks for the help....
This looks amazing. Do you put any fish in it after you are done making them?
i do not think so
No, it's really too small and not adapted for alive creatures.
この人絶対のびる
🌸💕🌸💕🌸💕🌸💕
You make it look so easy... But it one heck of a work. Why you use the mesh if your going to cover them with rocks and glue and stone powder ?
Some sort of filtration? Or what?
mesh layer, keeps the dirt from going into the drainage layer (the rocks)
Where’d you get the little cherry blossom tree? Or did you grow it yourself
I want one! ♥️ lol
No srsly... I do. ;)
Hi, I'm curious what soil you mix to make you 'mud'? I can see you use sphagnum moss and akadama (think that's the substrate you used, please correct me if I'm wrong) but no idea what soil you use. If you could let me know I'd really appreciate it, thanks!
Btw, wow, love you're style, and that table of yours blows my mind!!
You could try black clay powder like this images.app.goo.gl/RJNTK8ChcFZ2PhLt5
But i don't know if its working or healthy for the plants, moss.
Also you could try some normal brown clay powder from a reptile shop images.app.goo.gl/tj8ppk9MDExUFMN58
Or "Hypertufa" (i don't know the englisch translation) its a mixture between portland cement (3parts), turf moss or cocos substrate (4parts) and perlite (5parts) images.app.goo.gl/PYGwUJQi8GAuTHMx9
images.app.goo.gl/oQTaRyhDBYvhavfW8
벽에 붙히는 흙은 어떤것들로 혼합한건가요?
wat is that small lilly like plant, you put at last?
Subscribed!
will the plant survive in this?
당신에 아름다운 작품을 매우 좋아합니다^^
I think the sakura should've been smaller and MUCH higher up, the composition looks kind of uncomfortable. The sakura is way too big for this. It's a cool experiment but sakuras don't go so well with aquariums, it would take a very specific composition for it to work well. Cool video though, the setup was cool otherwise.
Shutup melonie
Great decoration, From where I can buy cherry bonsai online?
Asu!!!
Beautiful! How long before the cherry blossom outgrows the container?
Bonsai in some cases will never out grow the container if maintained properly
What is the name of the plant that appears in the minute 7:55 ?
did you just cut a cherry blossom branch off and planted it there? I would love to know more about it, since I would love a bonsai cherry blossom tree and "do it myself" in that way if possible :o
すごく美しい
Do you have an instagram? Can i follow you? You are awesome!
It's in the description. :)
I don't like this one as much as other's he has made. Don't get me wrong it's a wonderful piece but not my preference. With the bonsai I would have liked to see a wider tank. I also found it unusual that he didn't make the area where the bonsai was removable so it makes re-potting/root care easier. I wish he'd make one of these with fish. That would be stunning. I've been thinking of trying to make something like this myself but on a bigger scale and with fish.
Красиво круто хочу в Японию )
Wonder full.
Can we also use styrofoam to replace material you use?
My english so bad
Feri Syami yes

There's such thing as a cherry blossom bonsai tree!!!?
Check out fruit tree bonsai
Is that a real bonsi cherry tree and where do you buy them?
Cherry blossoms grow here in dc!
Master
hi do you know the name of the black material you use to create the filters? thank you.
❤❤❤
Nice, very Nice, Ukraine)
What kind of adhesive are you using? Specifically the black one?
Julia L. I believe he would be using silicone. So in that case black coloured silicone, like the kind used to seal showers and other places where there will be water.
beautiful hands : )
hola, estos materiales no dañan a los peces?
Sabe como se llama el azulejo negro que ocupó para construir las paredes
