Hi Suzy! I’d recommend moving out for a while with the reno for a certain time, as you’re basically taking the roof off and adding another floor, it’s not something you do in one day. There will be a lot of tearing down which means a lot of dust. As soon as the roof is back on you should be fine to move back but living on a building site is not the most fun with all the noise 🤣 couldn’t tell you which architect to go to as I’m from Belgium but if you ever need interior advice I’m here! I make 3D renderings as my full time job 😉 good luck!
The chairs look so nice from the back too with the black bars running down across the back space. Such a lovely choice, I agree with Ryan, they are stunning xxx
At 21:00 I was so emotionally invested in the chairs I was genuinely panicking they might not arrive. They look super squishy and comfy, what a snuggly spot to sit and watch the garden!
yes, you can live in your house but it will be noisy and messy. we had a loft conversion in the house I lived in as a kid. that meant lifting the roof by like 1m to have pleanty of headspace and adding a staircase. my dad worked in construction so it was easier for us. we found the whole process of getting the permit the most stressful. also make sure to ask at your townhall if you are actually allowed to add a floor to your house, there are like story limits depending on the exact location. btw if you just need one extra room as ryans studio how about converting the garage? could be easier and cheaper, obv I don‘t know the exact situation.
Hi. Having lived through an expansion (turning the attic into an actual living space with rooms and a bathroom) I can honestly tell you that if you have the option to move out it is better for your own sanity. Everything is always dirty, dust and mud everywhere, noise all the freaking time, the listening in to the workers music and god forbid you overhear them talking about you. Been there, done that. With that said, the alternative would be to stay if you have the option to close yourself off (aka live on the opposite side of the house). That's what I did. Still dust everywhere for months. Not a fun experience and I don't work at home. It is feasable and you get to be more on top of things and pressure everyone if you see them slacking. We started construction around may-june, I believe, in order to avoid heavy rain and make it go faster. But I live in the South of Europe, that might be different in the UK. Hope that helped in some way. xoxo
Do it suzie!!! If I had to do mine again I would 100% hire an interior designer. Because I spend my life on Pinterest and Instagram home accounts and because I have good taste (duh) I thought I didn’t need to cause I knew exactly what I wanted . Thought I could do it by myself with a good builder and micro manage everything. Thing is , there are stuff that if you don’t know , you just can’t know . Like how much spot lights to put on a hallway? Or on the roof of your kitchen?, you would never think to specify to your builder where do you want them in your roof , but actually he’ll put as much as possible because that inflate his bill. Even if doesn’t make sense . Or you would tell him I want a wardrobe on the wall please , floor to ceiling , shaker style door , I’ll buy you the handles. And you would think well that’s it, it’s gonna look great. An interior designer will double check that actually the width is wide enough for you to hang hanger (I know!!!!!! Should be common sense) or that the bathroom door that’s next to it can actually fully open now that you’ve installed it . Stuff like that. Totally worth it in my opinion .
What about a foot stool/ottoman/pouffe instead of a coffee table so you can put your feet up with a coffee in the morning? Its such a lovely spot to look out, it was a great idea to put some seating in that space 💗
Huge congrats on planning to extend the house, so exciting! I loved all the items you ordered from &otherstories, though I am wondering if the pearls will stay on the cardigan, because I am obsessed with the look but scared they will fall off... Such a shame the white dress isn't lined at the bottom, otherwise I would absolutely have picked it up. However the top and the tan sandals are on my wishlist, they look gorgeous and I need a pair of heels I can actually walk in. Also it's always so cute to see you and (mostly) Ryan cook, his food always look delicious! Have a lovely evening xx
Hey! new here but you made reference to bungalows so assuming you live in one? I would just get early advice form architects so you know what you are dealing with. My parents thought they'd be able to do a straightforward roof conversion on their bungalow but ended up having to take the roof off and rebuild it (due to the angle not being large enough and therefore there wouldn't be enough height even with dorms etc.) and this doubled their initial budget. Also, we all moved out for about 3 months - probably longer than we needed to but it would have been a messy/stressful situation to live in. Luckily we had family down the road to stay with so would suggest having a Plan B just in case the dust drives you mad!
When you were mentioning the natural (not white) marble coffee table I instantly thought of the Zara home one! I believe the large one is out of stock atm but it would look stunning with your new chairs! 🥰
Have you considered converting your garage first? Change it into a sound insulated space with electricity . Perfect sound studio/office. Add either good lighting or roof lights so you could both use it during any future work. A versitile room with extra storage too 🤷♀️ Yep you just said something really similar later in the vlog Patience Vicky patience 🤣
Chairs are cool love the dresses both so pretty without the belt you’re boyfriend is a keeper you’re own personal chef you’re plans for your home super exciting stay safe stay beautiful ❤️
Marks and Spencer’s do the best slips even in packs of two every one needs to invest they do all lengths I think it makes a dress look cheep if. See-through it will take them to next level xxxx lobe that cardigan so much ✌🏼❤️🥰
Love the new chairs in the kitchen. Personally, I was thinking more of an end table between the two to put a drink on or sth and maybe an upholstered bench that you could plop your feet on but maybe have a tray where it could also double as a 'faux' coffee table...just a little food for thought...🤷♀️
Hi Suzie this might sound so mundane and boring but you buy a lot of gorgeous delicate clothes and I’m wondering what your laundry routine is like? I always worry about buying pieces because I don’t want my wash to totally ruin my clothing ;(
I recommend laundry nets. They come in different shapes and sizes and you can even get different net sizes (like the netting is bigger or more finer). Your average dollar stores should have some, if not, Amazon should have them too. Hope this helps :)
I have! I think a stark brilliant white like the rest of my house (side note: love brilliant white everywhere else) would look awful BUT a variation of white could brighten it beautifully and it's on my list - I'll be talking about it more soon! xx
I recently read the tip to use a mildly formulated spf lip balm under your eyes. Sadly I can’t reccomend you the one I use because it‘s from a German drugstore.
I did the EXACT same thing as you with these chairs. They finally arrived but wouldn’t fit up the stairs to my flat 😫 devastated doesn’t cover it! Would love to hear where your dupes are from for a similar (but slightly smaller) vibe.
Suzie the music!! 🙌🏻👌 just wish I could find the titles 🥺 love your vlogs thank you for doing them and inspiring a mum of a toddler during our second lockdown 😘
That's not really possible to do on the property for various reasons. Also we like the idea of the garage being converted to a separate space away from the house - our logic will make sense in the future I promise x
My husband is a contractor in Canada. He put a second floor on a house and then took the original roof off. The people never had to move out. Other contractors were amazed. Never seen anyone do that before?
Hi Suzie!! Jess Parr, also a youtuber ruclips.net/channel/UCRsM_SBUogu4Yp6aY-b5nQg, is doing a home reno at the moment! They've started with a house and are building up another story, so that might be interesting to watch as she talks about the progress as well. I live outside of UK so not sure how much rules differ or what area of England she is in... Hope it might help a little!
With you working from home and your job being in fashion and RUclips I'd say definitely move out during this renovation. I am an engineer but I'm in the US so I wouldn't be helpful to you. I wish I was in the UK! Good luck with everything!

Girl the kitchen is gorj I’ve never understood why you dislike it!! Each to their own, but just to say it is unreal 😺
The chairs look so nice from the back too with the black bars running down across the back space. Such a lovely choice, I agree with Ryan, they are stunning xxx
Ryan is such a gem! I can’t wait to see the house transformation, it will be stunning!
At 21:00 I was so emotionally invested in the chairs I was genuinely panicking they might not arrive. They look super squishy and comfy, what a snuggly spot to sit and watch the garden!

It feels like Suzie is that one friend you visit to just hang out with. Every vlog feels like that

Enjoyed watching this video! And oh I just wanted to say that I like your channel very much, it's so positive and there's no boring drama happening.
ahh thank you 💖
The home is lookin cutie! I can’t wait until I can have my own outdoor space too!
Do it suzie!!!

Gorgeous pieces 😍 I think the white dress would look amazing with the blue knitted top over it ✨
A basket weave or rattan table would look amazing with those chairs!

Loving the process!!!! You are so happy 🧡
Suzie’s face when Ryan says that her dinner now (while eating gravy granules) 😂😂😂
Oh my I was indecisive about the armchairs!!! Thank you for this video
I quite literally said “AAAHH 🥰🥰🥰” when you opened the box to that pearl cardigan.
We don’t have a bungalow but have done an extension, move out for sure if you can! The dust will be unreal!
The one thing that was a must for me in my new house is the same flooring throughout the house
I just bought the &other stories sandals because of you 🥰 Love your videos! they always get me in the best mood 🦋💗

You and Ryan and so adorable! Also Ryan needs to publish a cook book or own a restaurant or something 👨🏻🍳🤣
Chairs are cool love the dresses both so pretty without the belt you’re boyfriend is a keeper you’re own personal chef you’re plans for your home super exciting stay safe stay beautiful ❤️
I've not extended my house but I think your plans sound amazing, I would love to build on a house or plan a house one day! Excited for you!
You and Ryan are so frickin cute 😭😭😭
Your house is coming along nicely. Love your garden area. I empathize of the leaves - that would frustrate me too!

LOVE the chair, they look so cosy x
If you are able take the stress off and move out definitely , although watching plasterers is hypnotic, swings and roundabouts.

I wish house renovations were as easy as it is in Sims *sigh*
And “rosebud” was a thing irl 😆
@@jl-Sp "motherlode" for that 50k simoleons!!
Love the chairs! Have you considered painting the kitchen white? Would really brighten it. Looking forward to the renovation

Enjoying the vlogs and also loving the music
Love the black and white dresses they look great!👌👌👌
I recently read the tip to use a mildly formulated spf lip balm under your eyes. Sadly I can’t reccomend you the one I use because it‘s from a German drugstore.
The lace dresses are so cute!!!
I am in love with those chairs. Absolutely lovely and chic. They fit you to a T.
I did the EXACT same thing as you with these chairs. They finally arrived but wouldn’t fit up the stairs to my flat 😫 devastated doesn’t cover it! Would love to hear where your dupes are from for a similar (but slightly smaller) vibe.
Suzie Chic is a thing! Also, love the chairs
shoesss are sooo cuteee 💗💗💗
Wow never clicked faster! Love you ❤️
You just make me well happy!
Instant click! Happy Spring 🌷
Suzie the music!! 🙌🏻👌 just wish I could find the titles 🥺 love your vlogs thank you for doing them and inspiring a mum of a toddler during our second lockdown 😘
I thought the white dress looked great without the belt too. Beautiful pieces.
I went to the comments to see what everyone was saying about the Reno advance, but i’m too early for the commentary
This happens to me ALL THE TIME 😅
I will Instagram message you my friend she is an interior architect and designer and she’s amazing! She’s doing her own renno right now too x
What was the first meal that came out of the oven
I have been watching Jess Rose who is building up/renovating whilst living there. Very excited for you!
Really enjoyed this video xxx 💕
Your eyes water because of spf, the worsttt, make sure you avoid the eye area when putting it on..
I used to hide in my parents pantry cupboard and eat raw oxo cubes (beef flavour) so you are not alone with the gravy thing 🙂
Where is the vase from that you put the flowers into? (With the gold bottom)
The cardigan is so cute but won't the pearls going round the back hurt if you ever lean back in a chair?
Chairs are showing as in stock for anyone who wants them
Depends on your country - I can't see then on any UK sites. x
What is the cardigan like on the bag?
Why don't you extend the house out back and incorporate the garage? Then build a new garage in front?
That's not really possible to do on the property for various reasons. Also we like the idea of the garage being converted to a separate space away from the house - our logic will make sense in the future I promise x
My husband is a contractor in Canada. He put a second floor on a house and then took the original roof off. The people never had to move out. Other contractors were amazed. Never seen anyone do that before?
I'm really hoping I find some amazing contractor that will work like this for me 😂

Where can I watch that interview online please?
oh my gosh!!!!! I want this vase! "ass" one 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🏺
Where is your I watch strap from
I’ll pm you a Brighton company that I know does great loft conversions, has good feedback and seen their work firsthand. Claire x
7:35 does anyone know where this vase is from? Thanks!
Both dresses are better without the belt.
Love it👌✨
First like the video then watch ❤️
.. will you marry me ...Awwwwwww how cute 😄 i just can’t stop smiling
Where is the woman’s body vase from
The vase is Anissa kermiche. £340 but think suzie has a dupe you can find so many dupes around £80 hope that helps.
@@maidacrazy21ryan93 oh thank you so much that is really helpful xx
