You'll probably need to repeat this process three times,. The discoloured enamel is already thin, abrasives will render it useless for cooking. I watched a video where a young woman sent her dad's Barbour back to the factory and they took it all apart, treated it, cleaned it, waxed it and then put it all back together with new lining ! Unbelievable after sales service ! I recently lost my two Barbours, I think they accidentally went into the charity bin liner ! So mad as the favorite one had molded itself to me and the bigger one was my dog walking jacket !

Bet that cast iron pot was used for baking artisan bread in the oven. You preheat on high temp before putting the dough in. So they turn dark. Would be a great use for making bread and the recipe is so simple, no kneading etc.

The dutch oven would be perfect for bread. Try using the Barkeepers friend to clean the stains 😊 shadow boxes are fantastic if you want to create collage about special trip or event. I've made several for weddings and engagements 😊 but also you can make pretty tea cady out of it too

Loved all the items from the car boot. The blue pot was a bargain, we have one but it’s quite new so hasn’t got too discoloured yet but they are really good.
I love the Stilton pot, I'm sure I had and m&s one once as I don't know where it went maybe the kids threw it out as food packaging! To clean an enamel Dutch oven I believe that you are supposed to boil water with a couple of tbsps of baking soda in it of 8-10 mins scraping any loose bits with a wooden spoon, you have to be careful using anything abrasive on the enamel as if it gets damaged bits can come off and end up in your food (I used a scourer on my old one and wrecked it)
I just spent a bit of time yesterday cleaning one of my enameled cast iron pans..........I used Kohler brand cast iron cleaner. I have heard that Le Creuset has a great cleaner too. Just a bit of elbow grease and the pot is as good as new :)
Use Oxiclean to clean the inside of the casserole. Just boil some water in the casserole, on top of your range, and add the Oxiclean (about a tablespoon, or so). It cleans the inside of the casserole very nicely.
Try Milton sterilising fluid that you use for baby bottles, it's great for getting out stains. You can usually pick up non-branded in home bargains etc for cheaper

Love the F&M stilton jar, I have an old small stonewear one that I keep paint brushes in, but yoour larger one with a lid is really lovely. Like the water colour too. Love those suede shoes! Great Vlog as always Iwan, what a brilliant haul & that Barbour jacket is lovely on you. Did you notice your shoes have a very slight wedge on them & I mean slight but if you look you will see it. I loved the little cat ornament for 20p and the little candle reminds me of one you have which is just plain, much bigger, same colour but no cats and I bought it for my mum in Switzerland in 1986 and now I have it and it’s never been lit and it comes with a porcelain stand and in my glass cabinet and it’s now nearly 16 years after her passing that I didn’t take the vintage glass cabinets and the other vintage furniture when offered when she passed but I have every single gift I bought my mum that was curios from all over the world she loved her ornaments and she would have snapped up those cats for 20p even though the cats we used to have were Persians & a bulldog in the 70’s , 1 heinz 57 dog and 1 border Collie what a mix of animals to choose from but she would have had those cats out of your hand for 30p 😂. As my sister lived for many years in Cannes… know the Cote D’azure quite well… and did visitMonaco once only!!!…Fabulous places…food and great memories…so you jogged my memory there 😀….This video was interesting, and apart from the dear little cat ornament, I did not guess any of the other choices you made (sorry)….However…enjoyed browsing the car boot with you and saw lots of items, that I would have chosen. That lovely watercolour would have been one…. I love finding original art ( and change them round from time to time)..that one is definitely an original, I would say..so well spotted!!👍….All of mine are from boot sales or charity shops… and very recently found 3 in one shop!!!… a pastel, a watercolour and a oil painting too..Two nicely framed, and one mounted, which I will frame suitably…That does not happen often though !!!….Back to the browsing….the blue Mediterranean dishes with fish design, two cream hexagonal dishes with raised design on base and edges (interesting).the basket/round tray with handle, you did consider that…possibly the small wooden pestle and mortar ( on the floor, I think) liked the large Bisto canister, then saw a selection of mid century glass other wooden pieces…I collect this era…but probably would be out of my price range(in London!).. would have certainly ‘wanted’ to buy more than one of those!!!..beautiful …if they were authentic pieces ??…the cups and saucers you showed, looked like Midwinter ones, but couldn’t read the base detail???….loved that very vivid Cat design jug, great for flowers and greenery arrangements..would have had to get that !!….So think It was just as well that I wasn’t there!!… as I would have broken the bank!!😱…. Up here in rural Cumbria every one who works outside tend to wear Barbour and it gets battered every day by the weather! Every year or so we wax them ourselves 😊

The Pumpkin and Mittens figure needs to stay by the photo, too perfect! The watercolor is fab. The green bear had a very Harrods vibe to it, was hoping you picked that up. If Barkeepers Friend doesn't work on that pan, I don't know what will! You should do a video on cleaning it.

I would try soaking the pot in bleach. Fill the pot with hot water, and add some bleach. Be careful of course.😅 I clean second hand ceramic vases that way. I wash them with dishwashing liquid first to get any old dirt off. Then soak in bleach. I find beautiful things when I am out thrifting which need a good clean. It amazes me how many people donate vases that haven't been cleaned. If you know, Germany has beautiful ceramics. I'm not sure if the discoloration in the pot is permanent, but it looks solid enough to cook in. I love the blue colour. I wish we could buy Bar Keepers friend in Germany. It works out very expensive to buy anything from Amazon and the shipping costs and taxes are whacked on, pushing the price out ridiculously. The jacket really suits you, it is a great jacket. Who can resist a n ornament of the two kitties that look like Pumpkin and Mittens? 😅😻 The mug with the flowers and dragonfly is beautiful. I like the books too. Good finds Mr K. 👌😎

The best way I have found to clean stained enamel glaze is to boil rhubarb leaves on a long rolling boil, also works well on aluminium pots.
Boiling that pot with a dishwasher table on stove will come up like a dream… bargain of the day ❤️

It could go in that display box, I would put some little shelves inside the box, to make displaying easier perhaps? Thick balsa wood would make it an easy project. Love the F&M stilton jar, I have an old small stonewear one that I keep paint brushes in, but yoour larger one with a lid is really lovely. Like the water colour too. Love those suede shoes! Your kittens are beyond cute in their little boxes, how sweet x The last of my carpets was fitted today, whole house taken us 6 weeks, ready to stop now for the Easter thank goodness, sat down and saw your Vlog , brillaint way to begin unwinding for our break, thank you, have a lovely Easter x
Great Vlog as always Iwan, what a brilliant haul & that Barbour jacket is lovely on you. Did you notice your shoes have a very slight wedge on them & I mean slight but if you look you will see it. I loved the little cat ornament for 20p and the little candle reminds me of one you have which is just plain, much bigger, same colour but no cats and I bought it for my mum in Switzerland in 1986 and now I have it and it’s never been lit and it comes with a porcelain stand and in my glass cabinet and it’s now nearly 16 years after her passing that I didn’t take the vintage glass cabinets and the other vintage furniture when offered when she passed but I have every single gift I bought my mum that was curios from all over the world she loved her ornaments and she would have snapped up those cats for 20p even though the cats we used to have were Persians & a bulldog in the 70’s , 1 heinz 57 dog and 1 border Collie what a mix of animals to choose from but she would have had those cats out of your hand for 30p 😂. Mr. C…. Have been watching , on and off for ages…( but have now subscribed so will not now miss any!)….Firstly…. As my sister lived for many years in Cannes… know the Cote D’azure quite well… and did visitMonaco once only!!!…Fabulous places…food and great memories…so you jogged my memory there 😀….This video was interesting, and apart from the dear little cat ornament, I did not guess any of the other choices you made (sorry)….However…enjoyed browsing the car boot with you and saw lots of items, that I would have chosen. That lovely watercolour would have been one…. I love finding original art ( and change them round from time to time)..that one is definitely an original, I would say..so well spotted!!👍….All of mine are from boot sales or charity shops… and very recently found 3 in one shop!!!… a pastel, a watercolour and a oil painting too..Two nicely framed, and one mounted, which I will frame suitably…That does not happen often though !!!….Back to the browsing….the blue Mediterranean dishes with fish design, two cream hexagonal dishes with raised design on base and edges (interesting).the basket/round tray with handle, you did consider that…possibly the small wooden pestle and mortar ( on the floor, I think) liked the large Bisto canister, then saw a selection of mid century glass other wooden pieces…I collect this era…but probably would be out of my price range(in London!).. would have certainly ‘wanted’ to buy more than one of those!!!..beautiful …if they were authentic pieces ??…the cups and saucers you showed, looked like Midwinter ones, but couldn’t read the base detail???….loved that very vivid Cat design jug, great for flowers and greenery arrangements..would have had to get that !!….So think It was just as well that I wasn’t there!!… as I would have broken the bank!!😱…. A very fun video… and I know you had to be choosy.. plus you bought the things you really could see in your home, which is very stylish and unique to you, Thankyou for the video…and love to Mittens and Pumpkin…the adorable ‘rascals’…. 👏👏

A lot i fancied at that boot sale... especially the white pie dishes. You picked up my bowl, i have myself, from one of our many Tunisian holidays. You did so well with your finds. Our two cats love getting into baskets and boxes, like Pumpkin and Mittens .😻😹

I heard something the other day Iwan about boxes and cats,put a box on the floor and a cat will gravitate towards it always, my cat Sox loves to sleep in a box it’s his favourite pastime..your Haul was a good one I love a Emma Bridgewater mug,but I can’t fit anymore in my cupboards,But I just brought the Mistletoe Mug from next at the hefty price of £25 but it was with a gift card for Mother’s Day,So I don’t feel Guilty.Just need to get rid of all my other odd ones meaning old cups and saucers…😂😂😂..love to you and Mittens and Pumpkin.❤️

Up here in rural Cumbria every one who works outside tend to wear Barbour and it gets battered every day by the weather! Every year or so we wax them ourselves 😊

The Pumpkin and Mittens figure needs to stay by the photo, too perfect! The watercolor is fab. The green bear had a very Harrods vibe to it, was hoping you picked that up. If Barkeepers Friend doesn't work on that pan, I don't know what will! You should do a video on cleaning it.

Nice haul! I have a cast iron container like yours, I bought from Sainsbury's many years ago, when I lived in the UK. Mine has also discoloured, but fortunately, it still makes the most amazing casseroles! 😊

I would try soaking the pot in bleach. Fill the pot with hot water, and add some bleach. Be careful of course.😅
I clean second hand ceramic vases that way. I wash them with dishwashing liquid first to get any old dirt off. Then soak in bleach. I find beautiful things when I am out thrifting which need a good clean. It amazes me how many people donate vases that haven't been cleaned. If you know, Germany has beautiful ceramics.
I'm not sure if the discoloration in the pot is permanent, but it looks solid enough to cook in. I love the blue colour.
I wish we could buy Bar Keepers friend in Germany. It works out very expensive to buy anything from Amazon and the shipping costs and taxes are whacked on, pushing the price out ridiculously.
