Almost correct. If you sharpen the first note on the A string of the intro riff you'll be fine :)

    You are making a mistake on the opening run - it ascends maj and descends minor... B, B, D♯, E, F♯, --- E, D, E, D, B -- otherwise nice lesson.

The “ambiguous third”. A key to lots of blues, soul, jazz and overlooked!

Do NOT forget Otis played everything in open tuning as he didn't really KNOW any chords as such!
That is why songs like Dock of the Bay is musically wrong because he couldn't play a minor chord.

Musically wrong? Is that even a thing? One rule: If it SOUNDS cool, it IS cool.

Yes Steve too. They all did at that time. Otis too apparently, from what I read only played an open major chord tuning. Open G maj I think.
I too use several altered tunings. Keith Richards used a lot too, lots of opens for various songs. TRY to cover them in standard tuning and they won't sound right!

Err yeah! Ever heard of theory? You should look up chord theory, and see WHAT chord goes with WHAT key! It's an EYE opener!
