Rendering is CPU intensive so make sure your CPU heat sink is adequate, increasing priority can squeeze more CPU cycles for the app but not much. www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html has a well respected tool to monitor your motherboard and CPU.

How to open .dmp files in readable format
Go to the Windows Store and download the Windbg Preview, it's free and it will allow you to open and analyze any *.dmp file.
you may use WinDBG
