I am glad you enjoyed the video! Yes I think you should have winter tires on, it always depends on the weather but in this early stages of the Grossglockner opened, there are still a lot of snow nearby the roads, the wind can blow it on the road and the temperatures often below 0. Also the melting snow can freeze to the surface of the road, so it would be dangerous to drive here with summer tires in May. For up to date road conditions I recommend you to visit this website before your travel: www.grossglockner.at/en
Hey., Aweome video. In case I am traveling from Kaprun to Alpbach, do I need to take the return ticket or is there an alternate route available.. thanks
Thank you very much, I am glad you liked it. With the 1 day ticket you can drive all day inside the Grossglockner road, you don't have to go just one way. So you can drive through the whole road and go back where you enteted. For alternative road there is road 108, but as I remember there is a tunnel you have to pay for to pass there..
beautiful view
Очень круто спасибо!
Thank you 👍👍👍👍👍
Great video ! Question: Please, i want to plan there May 2025, 1st week. Do we need winter tires for the car to ride here ?
I am glad you enjoyed the video!

From Kaprun to Alpbach you do not need to take this road.
