I believe it is 1960s. I have one very similar. Fantastic piece of over engineering. The legs on mine , once located can be turned to lock in place. It is heavy but still very useable.
Thanks. Picked one up the other day. Beautiful craftsmanship. I’m thinking 50’s-60’s with a few more bells and whistles; cable shutter release attachment with cable, adjustable pressure plate for swivel head p. Controls vertical and horizontal motion. Locking head mount with two removable mounts in different screw sizes. The third size is missing. Vivo really tried to bring all the attributes of a professional studio tripod to a portable unit. Gorgeous design. Wish I could find the manual. Thanks again.
Wow that is cool. I miss the great quality and craftsmanship of products of yesteryear. Products that could last a lifetime when not abused. Thanks for posting and cheers.
I'm hearing that Vivo is also the same company as Sunset. I have a Sunset GD-3000 on its way. Japanese tripods made by companies that must have made more products. 🇺🇲♥️🇯🇵
I have a Vivo purchased by my father in 1958 or 1959. Still performs perfectly.

I have an all metal version - including the handle and it has cork pads. No idea where I got it. Great tripod.
Wow, very nice. The 9-stage telescopic leg is grand!
