- This is one of those " I thought this would be a quick and easy " flip, but nooooo. haha! I ended up trying out three colours before settling on a fourth custom blended colour for the base, and I refinished the top and left it woodgrain.
I didn't like the dated pulls on the cabinet's lower doors, so I opted to remove them, fill the holes, and install magnetic latches instead, which you push to close or open. Perfectly easy to use, and takes away some of the "busyness" happening on the doors.
Even though my initial plan for this piece (light woodgrain top/top drawers, with a muted painted base) didn't happen, I DO love how this turned out. There were so many scratches, I wasn't even sure if I could leave the top wood initially, but I got the majority out and it looks great again. ❤️

Gorgeous,colour is just right, I wish it was mine,
I quite liked the blue pine. I paint a lot with indigo or ultramarine with burnt sienna (together they make a lovely grey) and the combination is my happy place so blue and deep browns are joy. I get that that is a very personal thing and not at all what the commercial markets may prefer. I'm not gonna lie, the pistachio colour gave me 70's kitchen flashbacks but it goes well with the dark top. The final piece looks lovely.

HI, although I prefer to see woodgrain this turned out to be quite eye catching, I think that I also would have preferred the handles on the cupboards, but life would be dull if we all had the same taste, your skill is appreciated, well done!!

Thanks 🙏🏻 for sharing this projects journey... learning a lot from the process... color choices are always difficult but I truly love ❤️ the final result... I've personally had too repaint several things throughout the years because although we loved the piece, the color didn't match our decor theme... and it's always an easy fix... according to my wife anyway, lol 😂 ... (because I do the work but in all fairness, she knows I enjoy 😊 it)
Very very nice indeed. The only thing that I might have done (personally, can't speak for you of course) would be to make the feet dark wood as well, so the green really pops. I'm glad you settled on your mixed green paint, really nice and unique, compared to the first choices.
