New idea: MegaMind Series: Alien Mayhem. While the Energy Moths have stopped their “attack” on Metrocity, many aliens or even byproducts of alien experimentation might still end up attacking the city. It’ll be up to MegaMind, Roxanne, Minion, MegaMind’s Mega-Gang, and occasionally Metroman to stop these alien attacks and save their city. Nobody try to argue that MegaMind Rules is still a thing, this will be canon instead of the Nevermind Rules! >:)
Here are ideas if you ever decide to rewrite the MegaMind Series and replace it with what we truly deserve, some of these may be inspired by your previous redraws of villains from Nevermind Rules, which we all know is not canon. :) Episode: Reign of MegaMonkey=A primate without a tail who escaped from a zoo ends up getting infused with the genius & evil of the Mega MegaMind robot thanks to electric surges escaping when the robot was blown up, he breaks all the other primates, gorillas and orangutans included, out of the very zoo he escaped from, forms an army under the city, makes himself a new tail as well as technological weapons to take over the city, forcing MegaMind to team up with the Energy Moths to stop the banana fueled terror. Episode: Surge of the Thunder=The Uni Student who helped fight against the Energy Moths accidentally gets electrocuted during an experiment with actual lightning in a jar, but when she wakes up she gains the abilities of the weather, the power ends up going to her head and MegaMind feels responsible for it. Episode: Volcanic Interruptions=A new threat enters the city, a burning humanoid made entirely out of brimstone and magma who threatens to melt Metrocity to the ground, as MegaMind duels with the foe he can’t really understand all the hissing and shifting rocks that this guy makes, eventually after a few upgrades to protect himself from getting burned, MegaMind manages to best this foe, but before he can contain this lava creature, the strangest thing happens, an enormous old style UFO with a purple dome on top suddenly blasts in, takes the magma man, and blasts off before anyone can even blink. While this leaves on a cliffhanger as the screen goes black, MegaMind and Minion have the same question, “Why did that spacecraft look familiar?” Episode: Cookout Chaos= (This one isn’t based on any of your previous drawings, this one is just for fun) The MegaGang have nothing to do, they’re bored out of their minds. The Weapon Gangsta (probably the oldest of the gang) suggests that they should make food, they agree since they’re also hungry while MegaMind and Roxanne are on their honeymoon. Chaos ensues for a while as the Tiny Gremlin is just riding one of MegaMind’s flying malfunctioning Brain Bots and trying to bring it down, Tech Nerd and Uni Student are trying to put out a fire, and Weapon Gangsta is just unconscious on the ground because a pot landed on his head, until Minion finally returns, helps with the fire, scolds them all, but then forgives them afterwards and helps them learn to cook by themselves in case MegaMind forgets to leave a note on how to make food for them again. Episode: Misadventures in Moth-Sitting=Minion ends up finding the new nursery of the Energy Moths right underneath MegaMind’s lair, all 4 of the adult Energy Moths inside this nursery are unconscious, presumably because they weren’t willing to use the energy from the nursery to keep themselves fed, but then they all fell asleep. Suddenly, 6 of the tons of eggs hatch after Minion accidentally drops the malfunctioning RayGun he was fixing, blasting shots all over the place until it stops, the young Energy Moths fly all over the place and Minion has to keep them out of trouble. Tell me what you think about these episode ideas, and if you’d like to see more ideas, just ask, MEGAGANG UNITE!

😂 the dehydration gun slaps!! I wanted to make it far more crucial than any other weapon - and give Megamind a challenge he’s never faced before! If they can absorb energy, he can’t use much else to defeat them. (And thanku! I made it during college when we had an assignment to create a 5-second logo thing with Adobe Premier! I came up with a random channel name, designed some text and slapped it in, and now I can use it in my vids and look sUper sleek hehehe. I designed the font in Adobe Illustrator, then drew the lil dragon face PNG. I then used puppet points in Premiere or After-Effects to make the ears wiggle and the eyes blink, and I stole some cloud background online 😂 I hope it doesn’t bite me later)
I've been working on my own rewrite for the show out of pure spite (but also that I feel that rewrites can be a fun mini project sometimes) for how terrible the original show/movie is. And so far, I love how everyone's rewrites are different and shows there is so much potential in this show. Also, love your art and avatar stills. Idea. The black hole is a wepons used by megaminds alien species for defense but a rouge ai became sentient and wanted to end life so it could make a simulation of the universe and rule over it like a god and be uninterrupted.
This would actually tie in to the whole "Superman origin story" angle pretty well if said AI was based on the DCAU version of Brainiac - while Brainiac wasn't responsible for destroying Krypton, it did suppress the knowledge that Krypton was going to be destroyed so it could flee the planet without being delayed by evacuation efforts.
I appreciate your more constructive approach in contributing to the whole Megamind 2 discussion. Dunking on it for a video or two is one thing, but actually engaging somewhat with what it’s putting down in order to develop your own creative spin on things is really fun to watch.

Oh I love the alien idea!! Maybe for part 2 the new aliens are trying to stop the hole from growing and swallowing earth- but in the process they are able to find all the life forms who went into the hole, meaning Megamind could meet his parents and Metroman could meet his. Maybe Metroman has ancestors who all are much more powerful than him!! This could go in so many directions!!! 🤩
This gave me like a idea of a scene where Megaman returns to his planet while Megamind thanks and says goodbye to his old family wanting to stay in the city with his new family

Nice, I wasn’t expecting this type of rewrite, but it was definitely a fun watch that definitely felt like something a true Mega Mind sequel should be like. Also I suggest Bibleman for the redesign since think that’ll be a funny idea, and if you continue to do rewrites, this is a weird suggestion/idea, but Pac Man World 3. The story is so weird, and barely feels like Pac Man, but I think your style could lend a hand and make the story feel more like a true Pac Man story but still unique at the same time.
@@fantasycreed your welcome, and to give some context on Pac Man World 3 (I played all the Pac Man World games, including the remake and spinoffs), Pac Man World 3 is the third mainline entry in the Pac Man World Series, which is a series of 3D platformers that stars Pac Man. The game was initially extremely different during development, but because of the merge between Bandai and Namco, the developers were forced to rush what they had and make this once different Pac Man game into Pac Man World 3. This game in particular tries to add in lore to the Pac Man universe with a more serious ton, while making the settings more fantasy/sci-fi that doesn’t mesh well with Pac Man. If you’re ever interested in playing this or any of the games, I recommend playing World 3 on the PS2, or playing the Remake of Pac Man World 1 (titled RePac) on any modern platform as a starting point.
While watching the video, i also really desire to perhaps make a rewrite one day! I'm still figuring out how a lot of these things can work, since i still want to mantain that kid character and the doom syndicate while improving and making them actually interesting I'm really interested on what other people in the comment section could have in mind, so drop any ideas here if you would like :P (It's funny how all of us normal watchers are putting more thought into this movie than the writters probably ever did)

Years before Megamind 2 was hinted at I had mentioned to my friend that it'd be really cool if they made a sequel where the original movie is reimagined with Rozanne getting hit with the superpower bullet instead of Hal and we threw ideas about what that would look like, genuinely think it'd be a cool idea for a movie. Like an alternative telling

At first I was sceptical about the whole new alien species idea because I thought it would draw too much attention away from Megamind and crew, but then I warmed up to it. And then again, THIS is a much better way to entroduce new characters and re-entroduce some old ones. Some of the moments like Megamind's proposal to Roxy or Metroman coming back and finally meeting a challenging opponent really make me regret we didn't get to see this in a "Megamind 2" movie and instead got... what we got

In my sequel, he fights a group of five aliens called the Powers Council, who crash his ceremony and abduct him and Metroman and explain to them how their races interacted with theirs and how their goal is to make sure that beings like them don't accidentally commit genocide on beings like the Humans. The council consists of Habithack, who can control the minds of all beings with brains weaker than his own, so that excludes Megamind's, Ripplerock, who is a cosmic scale earthbender who can manipulate solid nonorganic matter in nearly any way, Fireflesh, who can melt just about any material with her touch and can also ignite entire atmospheres, Vaporvoid, who has the power to move areas where solid objects block light making it seem as if he can control shadows (His portals are also tangible), and Stellarseer who can see just about anywhere in the universe if he looks far or hard enough and also has the ability to sense extreme danger at the right time. After this, Ripplerock takes away his binky and tells him that it contains a precious substance from his homeworld that her kind mined regularly until his created a dehydration field around their planet's atmosphere. She then takes him to his cell when he tries to tell her that humans are not inferior because they have culture, but it comes out sounding like "cult torture", so Ripplerock is only horrified. After this, we pan back to Earth where everyone is panicking and Minion and Roxanne get together trying to figure out how to get to him since the council destroyed all of Megamind's inventions when they came in and they find out that one of the citizens has the blueprint for the machine Megamind used to recreate Metroman and they find that the council had dropped waste when they came down thanks to Vaporvoid's cruel humor and they extract Ripplerock's powers giving them to Roxanne and they build a telescope in the fake observatory to find the council's ship before Roxanne dislodges a chunk of Earth and uses it to fly after the ship. Once they get there after we see a meeting of the council Roxanne tears down the walls of Metroman's cell, but Stellarseer blurts out the danger Metroman poses and Habithack stops them, but not before Roxanne tears down Megamind's as well, allowing him and Minion to meet up, (Habithack does not see Minion as a threat so he does not hypnotize him) Megamind whispers his plan into Minion's ear since he's worried about Stellarseer and him, Metroman and Roxanne are all in cages made of Vaporvoid's portals. Then, as they stall and Stellarseer keeps trying to persuade Habithack about Minion only to be ignored, Minion gets to the ship's power core and hacks it to take them back to Earth. After they crash into the area Roxanne ripped out, Metroman ties the Powers Council together using their limbs with a bunch of mud shoved in Habithack's mouth so he can't focus enough to hypnotize him. After coming to a compromise with them, Roxanne takes the mud out of Habithack's mouth only for him to Take control of everyone around him besides Megamind, using Metroman to restrain him and just when it looks like he's about to take everyone into space, a watching police officer shoots him in the back, stunning him and making him lose his grip on Metroman, who passes out from the strain of frequent possession. However, the other Powers Council members turn on him so he grabs all of them (including Roxanne) and attempts to restrain Megamind, but he made an emergency hatch earlier and catapults himself to his lair where he enters an underground tunnel where even with Stellarseer's powers Habithack can't detect him. While down there Megamind sneaks into several stores where he grabs some items and then he's about to ambush Habithack with a new giant mech suit equipped with all his best tech when Habithack senses him and takes control of him by abandoning the mind-reading of everyone else. There is then a final battle with Roxanne and the Powers Council battling Megamind and Habithack. Roxanne and Ripplerock try to tear the suit apart, but Megamind had used his power extraction machine to make it so that their powers would not affect it. Then at one point Minion tells Ripplerock to throw him at Habithack. She thinks the idea is insane so she refuses at first but when Minion tells her to trust him she agrees, but Vaporvoid steps in and rips him out of his suit and throws him at Habithack just before Ripplerock can. Minion then lands on Habithack's head and Habithack is turned into a dehydrated cube. It is then revealed that because he originated on Mega Planet, he has access to the powers given by the substance there. It then ends with Megamind taking Habithack's place on the Powers Council, Roxanne getting turned back to normal, and Earth getting labelled as a special planet in the nation the Powers Council came from.
This is a crazy plot, I like it!! I didn’t read it all, but I love the idea of Megamind fighting a literal power council of other aliens… taking the usual battles against earth villains to a battle with other creatures of the universe! Super interesting, keep that up!

@@sandy_nes31lol nice I imagine Megamind built it for Meg when she was baby (acting as her bodyguard and just something to keep her entertained), but overtime Meg tweaked it’s programming (it still mostly looks the same since Meg prefers functionality over presentation) so it sort of “grows up” with her

These energy aliens are great. Just the idea of making these aliens more, well, alien, is just perfect. Originally I was thinking of a concept of a new villain of some kind turning lowly criminals into The True Doomsday Syndicate (would Hal come back? Idk. Maybe?). Unlike Nevermind 2, the villains KNOW that Megamind is a hero, but pretend not to know and pretend to work with him so they can get into the lab and find the Metroman Formula. Side note: Someone made a meme about General Warren Monger calling Ruby Gillman to join the Monsters Vs. Aliens Project and just.... I unironically love it.

I really like your story. But I kinda feel like the alien invasion would be better suited for a third film. Here's my premise for a Megamind 2 that involves the Doom Syndicate. The idea behind it is that each movie in the hypothetical trilogy would slowly up the stakes each installment with the alien invasion being saved for the ultimate challenge. Premise: When a group of supervillains from Metro Man's past known as the Doom Syndicate escape imprisonment, the former evildoer Megamind must prove himself worthy of being the city's new defender. Unlike Nevermind 2, the Syndicate consists of the sadistic smooth talker Psycho Delic, the sympathetic Weather Vane, and the silent but deadly Ragdoll. I'd be happy to answer any questions you have, btw.
@fantasycreed Thanks. Let me go over the leader Psycho Delic. I pretty much adapted him from the spin off games since I kind of feel like his design just screams perfect villain. Ontop of that, he's voiced by Keith David. What more could you want? Personality wise, He's pretty much the opposite of Tighten as in he's intelligent and cunning while Hal was pretty much a horny dumb ass. The main conflict of this fan sequel is a part of Megamind missing the old days when it was him fighting Metro Man and being able to do whatever he wanted when he wanted to. Going from that to now having to follow and enforce all kinds of laws and rules has to be pretty stiffling for him, at the very least. Psycho Delic acts as a twisted reflection of who he used to be in the first movie but without the inherent goodness he had deep down. Unlike Megamind, Psycho Delic is a narcissist who takes genuine pleasure in the pain that he causes others and keeps trying to prey on Megamind's insecurities in an attempt to convince him to rejoin the dark side. As for his powers, He's able to make his body collapse into dark purple smoke to make himself intangible to all attacks and use that same smoke to make people's fears come to life upon breathing it in. So he's essentially a Scarecrow parody but with a disco motif.

Like This version Maybe not my take, but I like the play on light and dark that could be done with something like this. Specially a play between a normal hero movie with horror moments. Like… those creatures a totally unstopable if you don’t have regular weapons or the dehydration gun. I told my idea in the redesign video and I see you made this aliens empaths. That’s so cool. Thinking how scary fighting a hive of empaths would be. They literally could learn from eachother and defend in different ways

I wanted to see if Metroman would truly be so stubborn that he would refuse to help against an impossible enemy when Megamind was in need… but I also didn’t want him to swoop in and kick butt without breaking a sweat! I needed a challenge for both of them, and I’m glad it fits the theme :D
This is great I could see some of these ideas carried over to the series with some of megaminds tech being stolen during the incident and the villains using it I could also see keiko turning to the darkside after dealing with issues after the incident and this could coincide wifbe the sibling arc I mentioned in the redesigning the megamind rules villains with her sibling taking an anti villain role being against the super villains but not really pro megamind seeing him as a pawn for the system that caused this mess
megamind 2 could've been about fanaticism with the Doom Syndicate being fans of Metroman before Megamind became a hero, then got mad over him being a hero, and went to go arttack him or smth idk
My idea is what if the black hole was actually an alien, whose job is to kill species they deemed to dangerous. I also would like to base some alien species off of some Superman villain.

I think it would need a focus of what its about, what its satirizing, like the first one satirized incels before that was a term. Though it wasn't big, so eh. Then Megamind was kind of responsible for some stuff that happened in the first film, so him sending out a message from Earth to seek out other aliens for help or what not might be an interesting detail. Another subplot could be him trying to give Roxy powers or what not, to protect her, while she protests she doesn't need it. Maybe also Megamind has made Metrocity into a mild surveillance state. Which might be sucking power or what not. But that might be too complicated to handle.
Exactly, AND it needs an overall theme! I did kinda skirt around the fact that Megamind might be over-policing his city, and the citizens might not like the roaming bots watching their every move and causing issues. I was too focused on getting new aliens 😂. Had I simplified the plot a bit more, I could have focused on infighting between citizens or Megamind not realizing how controlling he’s becoming etc etc. Thanks for pointing that out!
@@fantasycreed Yeah, the rest worked pretty good overall. Love the world building and the character dynamics, plus that awesome proposal mid battle. I could imagine Dreamworks making the proposal plotline a mild parody of the Frozen 2 proposal subplot, but keep the drama there. The aliens might need some silly bits for comedy lol. Maybe they're actually all clumsy, and it took them so long to get a translator/psychic communication device because they keyt breaking it or something. I don't know, something that makes sense for the world that doesn't make the aliens too incompetent. Clumsiness might make them less of a threat or too much of a joke.

Megamind honestly never needed a sequel. It had a perfect ending. Megamind became good, he found his true purpose, he defeated Titan and got Roxanne. What more could you want? I think dreamworks should’ve instead just made a sequel to much lesser known movie they made that has more sequel opportunity such as Rise of the Guardians or Monsters Vs Aliens.

I actually JUST learned what a movie’s theme was, and I regret that I didn’t know before I started! Self-doubt is always a great lesson to tackle, as is not trusting others and trying to put people into a bubble to protect them, not realizing it’s actually controlling. What is loving protection and trust versus control and suppression? The main theme is a difficult one, mainly because the first film did so, so well addressing its own theme! In order to really fit a theme, I need to go back and alter some things around in my idea to really bring out a moral. Thank you for making me think!
@@fantasycreed Honestly, I think the themes of learning to adapt to the present would fit into your Megamind 2's fan plot. Think about it, if Megamind grew up with criminals, then the sequel should've had a shard of the past antagonist who refuses to accept Megamind's new life. Most of these ideas took inspiration from Dig-Daeg Studios but it's your story. Let me know about the changes you made regarding morals and themes. Great work!

I call the terrible sequel and series Gigadump. So many retcons, and changing Minion's name to Chum was just offensive. Minion was his SPECIES, his mother said he was his minion. But they weren't EVIL. No proof of that existed.
Late to this but its very interesting love the alien race you created to very interesting designs. Whole idea i had was some scientist guy was trying to be like megamind and make superheros with a special syrom he wanted to help megamind with future endeavors but megamind getting Hal flashbacks didnt like this so tried to make him stop and was even getting legal help with Roxanne and even the mayor. The guy started to rush before Megamind could stop this and ended up causing an accident that gave him and others in the building he was in powers. Some were just freaking out while others decided to be villians and now megamind has deal with it
Daaang that’s actually quite interesting and cool! One accident causes tons of problems for poor Megamind, that’s enough for a whole series too. Now he has to train the new Heros (or try to take away their powers) AND deal with a bunch of villains everywhere. Cool concept!
Someone could cook with the original concept of Megamind pretending to be a villain because an evil team appears, but have it be that he wanted to JOIN it, and they only appear after he has been in there about two months. Have Megamind get a heads up (why wouldn't they give him one here), and have Megamind tell the population to be a bit more careful, and tell them his plan, that way the scenes of evil Megamind commits are actually staged. Give Megamind a reason NOT to use the dehydration gun with Deep and Behemoth (or their renamed and better costume versions of this movie) being immune, and that they would be able to tell he was up to something if one went. Also, have the Doom Syndicate actually be similar to Megamind and have him feeling worse and worse about what he has to do, but he will go along with it because he needs to protect the city. Finally, have a better named and better looking Machia Villain be the villain with him not only be the reason that the Doom Sydicate met, but also have him betray the Doom Sydicate neat the end so they can have a heart to heart with Megamind about his past and have them all work together to kick the evil fucker to the curb.
Already a more interesting plot than what we got, and I like the idea of Megamind being able to PLAN because he’s a PLANNER Also more villains learning how to be heros would have been interesting and hilarious!

A bit of criticism is that it kinda feels less like the original. You can have serious moments and the ideas you shared here were really creative, but it didn’t really have time for the tone of the original to breath naturally.
Honestly, you’re spot on!! I failed to make a strong theme to wrap my script around, and I think it really shows. If I had a bit more time to really focus in on the themes or the goofiness, I might’ve made it sound more like a true Megamind plot.
Look at this shit, even random RUclipsrs who don’t even have a million subs know what things to change or improve upon Take notes, Disney, Netflix and Rick Riodan.

Okay, update, so another alien especies that feed of energy sounds like a concept that isn't used as much and you take on it was great, also for some reason the alien design's reminded me alot of dragonflys and its such a perfect design, its a bit irónic that the black is reponsible one's again for an almost alien extiction. For some reason i just imagine one of the aliens geting shot whit the dehidration gun and it body contorts and twist tryng to absobr the energy befour turning in to cubes, still love your vids❤❤

OhHHH now I know what you mean! Wendigos! I did mention them once, and I didn’t know they were of Appalachian culture, how neat! I’m sorry you believe this is appropriation and not appreciation. I think the design of a Wendigo beautifully haunting, hence why I wished to try out a robotic-type design! Minion’s current suit is modeled after ‘bigfoot’, an American legend, so I wanted to take inspiration from another type of furred, upright creature.
Something that popped into my mind is that the soundtrack could have a lot of potential, imagine "Fear of the Dark" by Iron Maiden playing while the aliens invade, "Keep on loving you" or "November Rain" playing while Megamind proposes to Roxxane, and either "Bawitdaba" or "Rollin" from Limp Bizkit playing before the final battle, almost like Welcome to the Jungle played at the beginning of the battle against Hal.
16:58 I have a few ideas on why Megamind couldn’t wear the device; 1. Megamind’s neurons are too dense for the device to work on him, making them incapable 2. The device would work with people who can open their minds to the device, needs a willing host (or something like that) 3. Humans have a very weak, but practical telepathic abilities. You know the old saying “Great minds think alike”, it’s something similar to that. Ex: when you and your friends will have the same idea, or would say the same thing at the same time (accidental jinx), have a gut feeling about them planning to do something dumb. We sometimes have a sense of potential dangers (listen to gut feeling Reddit stories), and the twin thing.

I think my only complaint would be the lack of a theme. Its solely a continuation of plot. The first movie had a clear message and theme about self-worth, purpose and morality as well as "Nature vs Nurture". You could maybe fit similar themes in this one. Since the enemy is alien this time, what if there were multiple alien species? You could have the energy aliens be a sort of highest power that uses species from other worlds to help them as they invade and search for energy. The lower aliens could maybe recognise Megamind's species and try to empathise with him over his homeworld's destruction, as they too lost their homes. The theme could then be about belonging as Megamind learns that despite being an alien, he is just as much an earthling as everyone else. He could maybe find joy in learning about his harritage, maybe even from other members of his species who survived, only to accept earth as his home. This could even be an opportunity for him to try and reason with the lower aliens, showing them that earth could be their new home too, showing off how much he learned from Roxanne. The plot could mostly stay as you showed it. Arguably, your plot offers a lot of opportunities for that theme of herritage and family vs chosen family and legacy. Minion could meet other similarly aquatic aliens who also need to travel in mechanical bodies. Here he could even change his name from Minion to Chum, asserting his role not as someone who obeys orders, but willingly helps his friends and family. Metroman could find some joy in his powered down state, enjoying various sports and hobbies he couldn't either due to his abilities making the challenge non-existent, or because of his practically immortal body never really needing to rest or relax, finally having the chance to enjoy the city he had spent decades protecting. Maybe some of the villains gained their powers from the aliens and decided that since they were complete outcasts on earth, its better to join with those who don't have a home and who won't judge them for being different. (Pierre Pressure could be either blind or deaf, using his telepathy to see and hear through other living beings the same way you suggested he speak through them. Nighty Night and Behemoth could be aliens who had been stranded on earth, finally finding a home for themselves among the aliens. Lady Doppler could have been bullied for her vitiligo and Machiavillain would already have a deep distain for people.) Lastly, I think the ending is kinda too... positive. Its kinda jumping the shark but I like the idea of the aliens at least wanting to be good. I think it would work better as a parallel to Megamind and Metroman if the aliens weren't necessarily evil, but far more apathetic towards other species than they were. They still took the time to collect other survivors of the black hole, but the longer they stayed without energy, the less they cared about anything other than gaining it. Maybe instead of just talking it out, Roxanne could use her experience as a reporter to get more information about the aliens, eventually learning about their backstory herself instead of being told. She could then relay it to megamind, who would then be stuck with a moral dilemma. If they keep fighting, the aliens would finally run out of power and the lower ones would be left without council and orders. But if he used his death laser, he could give them enough energy to at least come to reason and be temporarily satisfied, with the risk of him simply making them stronger but still as mad. You could have him contemplate the choice during the end battle. When he chooses the latter, he could then reason to Roxanne that: "I lied to you, but you still gave me a chance to redeem myself and helped me become more than I could ever hope to become. Since I couldn't figure out a solution, I just considered "what would the second smartest person I know do?" and then did it." . This could also open up for a TV show replacement as well. It could be that not all of the aliens are happy about staying on earth and some humans could even be opposed to their presence. You could have the go fish gang gain their abilities after stealing and interacting with stuff belonging to aquatic aliens. The doom syndicate could form from aliens and humans banding together against a world that neglected them. Machiavillain could seize the opportunity and increase the conflict solely for the chaos of it all. With all that yapping aside, though. Your art and script are nonetheless amazing on their own. I based off most of my ideas off of them and I am already having a blast imagining your new megamind.
You’re absolutely right about my lack of theme, I only JUST learned about movie themes a day ago, and now I wish I’d learned how to build one earlier! I love all those neat ideas for incorporating the Doom Syndicate in various ways, even to the point of making them dangerous aliens!! Minion being even more central to the plot is really cool as well, and Pierre Pressure being deaf or blind is excellent, SEEING and speaking and hearing through others is SO eerie, I’d love a handicapped villain :0 Thank you for your thoughts!
I love this so much. These aliens pose a genuine threat to Megamind and the city and they might even be worse than Hal for him because they completely disable his gadgets. They could even take on Metro man. The only thing that saves them in the end being Roxanne, by communicating with the new aliens and creating a mutualistic relationship, really lives up to the "biggest threat Megamind has ever faced" from the actual Nevermind 2 and also plays on the themes of the first film by showing that the aliens weren't ever bad, like Megamind wasn't ever really bad, just misunderstood. It also helps Roxanne's potential mayor position, if that ends up happening. The old mayor is not up for reelection and she's chosen because not only is she the one who showed Megamind how to be good and is currently dating the hero of Metro city, but she's also a hero herself now that she reasoned with the alien population.
Exactly!! I wanted to make Megamind really have a hard time without his gadgets, and I wanted Roxanne to play a really big role in the film! I’m more partial for Roxanne still being a reporter, but maybe instead she’s more of a bridge between the species. The first to communicate, the first to want to understand, and someone who really turns the public’s emotions to pity and acceptance for them :0
I love this idea although I do think that the Doom Syndicate could be behind the invasion and instead of the aliens and their a evil group from another city that they conquered and are now trying to take over Metro City due to the disappearance of Metro Man and see this as a chance to expand their empire. I can give more details if you love this comment.
I really liked this rewrite way better than the one we got! Little disappointed with the “it was all a misunderstanding” ending cause those feel cheap to me but other than that this was epic!
@@fantasycreedmaybe a fix to it is that is 50/50 woth the aliens, like the queen and a small handful of the aliens are peaceful and wanted to have contact in a diplomatic way, but were concerned for mistranslation and such. but there were other groups who were more on the conquering side and weren't keen on how the queen handled it, or really just wanted all the power to themselves and sought for the earth to fight back to justify their contact to become invasion. like the end is with the queen and Roxanne fixing the game of telephone join forces to fight the warmongering aliens and to reveal to the non-hardliners that the warring Clique is lying to them, that earth is peaceful and willing to help, they just gotta stop fighting.
If you were going to continue with megaminding some more plot to it, there could potentially be a character among the new aliens. Like a big bad villain, or a more friendly mediator between the aliens and the rest of the characters for example

As goofy as a misunderstanding ending would be after the ending of Megamind, I still like the idea of a relieved and _exasperated_ Megamind turning to the people of Metrocity and saying, "It's okay everyone, the aliens were just _hungry_ ! :'D"

MegaMind Series: Alien Mayhem. While the Energy Moths have stopped their “attack” on Metrocity, many aliens or even byproducts of alien experimentation might still end up attacking the city. It’ll be up to MegaMind, Roxanne, Minion, MegaMind’s Mega-Gang, and occasionally Metroman to stop these alien attacks and save their city.
Nobody try to argue that MegaMind Rules is still a thing, this will be canon instead of the Nevermind Rules! >:)

Here are ideas if you ever decide to rewrite the MegaMind Series and replace it with what we truly deserve, some of these may be inspired by your previous redraws of villains from Nevermind Rules, which we all know is not canon. :)
Episode: Reign of MegaMonkey=A primate without a tail who escaped from a zoo ends up getting infused with the genius & evil of the Mega MegaMind robot thanks to electric surges escaping when the robot was blown up, he breaks all the other primates, gorillas and orangutans included, out of the very zoo he escaped from, forms an army under the city, makes himself a new tail as well as technological weapons to take over the city, forcing MegaMind to team up with the Energy Moths to stop the banana fueled terror.
Episode: Surge of the Thunder=The Uni Student who helped fight against the Energy Moths accidentally gets electrocuted during an experiment with actual lightning in a jar, but when she wakes up she gains the abilities of the weather, the power ends up going to her head and MegaMind feels responsible for it.
Episode: Volcanic Interruptions=A new threat enters the city, a burning humanoid made entirely out of brimstone and magma who threatens to melt Metrocity to the ground, as MegaMind duels with the foe he can’t really understand all the hissing and shifting rocks that this guy makes, eventually after a few upgrades to protect himself from getting burned, MegaMind manages to best this foe, but before he can contain this lava creature, the strangest thing happens, an enormous old style UFO with a purple dome on top suddenly blasts in, takes the magma man, and blasts off before anyone can even blink. While this leaves on a cliffhanger as the screen goes black, MegaMind and Minion have the same question, “Why did that spacecraft look familiar?”
Episode: Cookout Chaos= (This one isn’t based on any of your previous drawings, this one is just for fun) The MegaGang have nothing to do, they’re bored out of their minds. The Weapon Gangsta (probably the oldest of the gang) suggests that they should make food, they agree since they’re also hungry while MegaMind and Roxanne are on their honeymoon. Chaos ensues for a while as the Tiny Gremlin is just riding one of MegaMind’s flying malfunctioning Brain Bots and trying to bring it down, Tech Nerd and Uni Student are trying to put out a fire, and Weapon Gangsta is just unconscious on the ground because a pot landed on his head, until Minion finally returns, helps with the fire, scolds them all, but then forgives them afterwards and helps them learn to cook by themselves in case MegaMind forgets to leave a note on how to make food for them again.
Episode: Misadventures in Moth-Sitting=Minion ends up finding the new nursery of the Energy Moths right underneath MegaMind’s lair, all 4 of the adult Energy Moths inside this nursery are unconscious, presumably because they weren’t willing to use the energy from the nursery to keep themselves fed, but then they all fell asleep. Suddenly, 6 of the tons of eggs hatch after Minion accidentally drops the malfunctioning RayGun he was fixing, blasting shots all over the place until it stops, the young Energy Moths fly all over the place and Minion has to keep them out of trouble.

😂 the dehydration gun slaps!! I wanted to make it far more crucial than any other weapon - and give Megamind a challenge he’s never faced before! If they can absorb energy, he can’t use much else to defeat them.
(And thanku! I made it during college when we had an assignment to create a 5-second logo thing with Adobe Premier! I came up with a random channel name, designed some text and slapped it in, and now I can use it in my vids and look sUper sleek hehehe. I designed the font in Adobe Illustrator, then drew the lil dragon face PNG. I then used puppet points in Premiere or After-Effects to make the ears wiggle and the eyes blink, and I stole some cloud background online 😂 I hope it doesn’t bite me later)
I've been working on my own rewrite for the show out of pure spite (but also that I feel that rewrites can be a fun mini project sometimes) for how terrible the original show/movie is. And so far, I love how everyone's rewrites are different and shows there is so much potential in this show.

Idea. The black hole is a wepons used by megaminds alien species for defense but a rouge ai became sentient and wanted to end life so it could make a simulation of the universe and rule over it like a god and be uninterrupted.
Golly a classic AI vs life would fit perfectly tBh, I like it!

This would actually tie in to the whole "Superman origin story" angle pretty well if said AI was based on the DCAU version of Brainiac - while Brainiac wasn't responsible for destroying Krypton, it did suppress the knowledge that Krypton was going to be destroyed so it could flee the planet without being delayed by evacuation efforts.

Oh I love the alien idea!! Maybe for part 2 the new aliens are trying to stop the hole from growing and swallowing earth- but in the process they are able to find all the life forms who went into the hole, meaning Megamind could meet his parents and Metroman could meet his. Maybe Metroman has ancestors who all are much more powerful than him!! This could go in so many directions!!! 🤩

Nice, I wasn’t expecting this type of rewrite, but it was definitely a fun watch that definitely felt like something a true Mega Mind sequel should be like. Also I suggest Bibleman for the redesign since think that’ll be a funny idea, and if you continue to do rewrites, this is a weird suggestion/idea, but Pac Man World 3. The story is so weird, and barely feels like Pac Man, but I think your style could lend a hand and make the story feel more like a true Pac Man story but still unique at the same time.

@@fantasycreed your welcome, and to give some context on Pac Man World 3 (I played all the Pac Man World games, including the remake and spinoffs), Pac Man World 3 is the third mainline entry in the Pac Man World Series, which is a series of 3D platformers that stars Pac Man. The game was initially extremely different during development, but because of the merge between Bandai and Namco, the developers were forced to rush what they had and make this once different Pac Man game into Pac Man World 3. This game in particular tries to add in lore to the Pac Man universe with a more serious ton, while making the settings more fantasy/sci-fi that doesn’t mesh well with Pac Man. If you’re ever interested in playing this or any of the games, I recommend playing World 3 on the PS2, or playing the Remake of Pac Man World 1 (titled RePac) on any modern platform as a starting point.
While watching the video, i also really desire to perhaps make a rewrite one day!

Years before Megamind 2 was hinted at I had mentioned to my friend that it'd be really cool if they made a sequel where the original movie is reimagined with Rozanne getting hit with the superpower bullet instead of Hal and we threw ideas about what that would look like, genuinely think it'd be a cool idea for a movie. Like an alternative telling

At first I was sceptical about the whole new alien species idea because I thought it would draw too much attention away from Megamind and crew, but then I warmed up to it. And then again, THIS is a much better way to entroduce new characters and re-entroduce some old ones. Some of the moments like Megamind's proposal to Roxy or Metroman coming back and finally meeting a challenging opponent really make me regret we didn't get to see this in a "Megamind 2" movie and instead got... what we got

In my sequel, he fights a group of five aliens called the Powers Council, who crash his ceremony and abduct him and Metroman and explain to them how their races interacted with theirs and how their goal is to make sure that beings like them don't accidentally commit genocide on beings like the Humans. The council consists of Habithack, who can control the minds of all beings with brains weaker than his own, so that excludes Megamind's, Ripplerock, who is a cosmic scale earthbender who can manipulate solid nonorganic matter in nearly any way, Fireflesh, who can melt just about any material with her touch and can also ignite entire atmospheres, Vaporvoid, who has the power to move areas where solid objects block light making it seem as if he can control shadows (His portals are also tangible), and Stellarseer who can see just about anywhere in the universe if he looks far or hard enough and also has the ability to sense extreme danger at the right time. After this, Ripplerock takes away his binky and tells him that it contains a precious substance from his homeworld that her kind mined regularly until his created a dehydration field around their planet's atmosphere. She then takes him to his cell when he tries to tell her that humans are not inferior because they have culture, but it comes out sounding like "cult torture", so Ripplerock is only horrified. After this, we pan back to Earth where everyone is panicking and Minion and Roxanne get together trying to figure out how to get to him since the council destroyed all of Megamind's inventions when they came in and they find out that one of the citizens has the blueprint for the machine Megamind used to recreate Metroman and they find that the council had dropped waste when they came down thanks to Vaporvoid's cruel humor and they extract Ripplerock's powers giving them to Roxanne and they build a telescope in the fake observatory to find the council's ship before Roxanne dislodges a chunk of Earth and uses it to fly after the ship. Once they get there after we see a meeting of the council Roxanne tears down the walls of Metroman's cell, but Stellarseer blurts out the danger Metroman poses and Habithack stops them, but not before Roxanne tears down Megamind's as well, allowing him and Minion to meet up, (Habithack does not see Minion as a threat so he does not hypnotize him) Megamind whispers his plan into Minion's ear since he's worried about Stellarseer and him, Metroman and Roxanne are all in cages made of Vaporvoid's portals. Then, as they stall and Stellarseer keeps trying to persuade Habithack about Minion only to be ignored, Minion gets to the ship's power core and hacks it to take them back to Earth. After they crash into the area Roxanne ripped out, Metroman ties the Powers Council together using their limbs with a bunch of mud shoved in Habithack's mouth so he can't focus enough to hypnotize him. After coming to a compromise with them, Roxanne takes the mud out of Habithack's mouth only for him to Take control of everyone around him besides Megamind, using Metroman to restrain him and just when it looks like he's about to take everyone into space, a watching police officer shoots him in the back, stunning him and making him lose his grip on Metroman, who passes out from the strain of frequent possession. However, the other Powers Council members turn on him so he grabs all of them (including Roxanne) and attempts to restrain Megamind, but he made an emergency hatch earlier and catapults himself to his lair where he enters an underground tunnel where even with Stellarseer's powers Habithack can't detect him. While down there Megamind sneaks into several stores where he grabs some items and then he's about to ambush Habithack with a new giant mech suit equipped with all his best tech when Habithack senses him and takes control of him by abandoning the mind-reading of everyone else. There is then a final battle with Roxanne and the Powers Council battling Megamind and Habithack. Roxanne and Ripplerock try to tear the suit apart, but Megamind had used his power extraction machine to make it so that their powers would not affect it. Then at one point Minion tells Ripplerock to throw him at Habithack. She thinks the idea is insane so she refuses at first but when Minion tells her to trust him she agrees, but Vaporvoid steps in and rips him out of his suit and throws him at Habithack just before Ripplerock can. Minion then lands on Habithack's head and Habithack is turned into a dehydrated cube. It is then revealed that because he originated on Mega Planet, he has access to the powers given by the substance there. It then ends with Megamind taking Habithack's place on the Powers Council, Roxanne getting turned back to normal, and Earth getting labelled as a special planet in the nation the Powers Council came from.
This is a crazy plot, I like it!! I didn’t read it all, but I love the idea of Megamind fighting a literal power council of other aliens… taking the usual battles against earth villains to a battle with other creatures of the universe! Super interesting, keep that up!

I imagine Megamind built it for Meg when she was baby (acting as her bodyguard and just something to keep her entertained), but overtime Meg tweaked it’s programming (it still mostly looks the same since Meg prefers functionality over presentation) so it sort of “grows up” with her

These energy aliens are great. Just the idea of making these aliens more, well, alien, is just perfect.
Originally I was thinking of a concept of a new villain of some kind turning lowly criminals into The True Doomsday Syndicate (would Hal come back? Idk. Maybe?). Unlike Nevermind 2, the villains KNOW that Megamind is a hero, but pretend not to know and pretend to work with him so they can get into the lab and find the Metroman Formula.
Side note: Someone made a meme about General Warren Monger calling Ruby Gillman to join the Monsters Vs. Aliens Project and just.... I unironically love it.

I really like your story. But I kinda feel like the alien invasion would be better suited for a third film. Here's my premise for a Megamind 2 that involves the Doom Syndicate. The idea behind it is that each movie in the hypothetical trilogy would slowly up the stakes each installment with the alien invasion being saved for the ultimate challenge.
Premise: When a group of supervillains from Metro Man's past known as the Doom Syndicate escape imprisonment, the former evildoer Megamind must prove himself worthy of being the city's new defender.
Unlike Nevermind 2, the Syndicate consists of the sadistic smooth talker Psycho Delic, the sympathetic Weather Vane, and the silent but deadly Ragdoll. I'd be happy to answer any questions you have, btw.

@fantasycreed Thanks. Let me go over the leader Psycho Delic. I pretty much adapted him from the spin off games since I kind of feel like his design just screams perfect villain. Ontop of that, he's voiced by Keith David. What more could you want?
Personality wise, He's pretty much the opposite of Tighten as in he's intelligent and cunning while Hal was pretty much a horny dumb ass. The main conflict of this fan sequel is a part of Megamind missing the old days when it was him fighting Metro Man and being able to do whatever he wanted when he wanted to. Going from that to now having to follow and enforce all kinds of laws and rules has to be pretty stiffling for him, at the very least. Psycho Delic acts as a twisted reflection of who he used to be in the first movie but without the inherent goodness he had deep down. Unlike Megamind, Psycho Delic is a narcissist who takes genuine pleasure in the pain that he causes others and keeps trying to prey on Megamind's insecurities in an attempt to convince him to rejoin the dark side.
As for his powers, He's able to make his body collapse into dark purple smoke to make himself intangible to all attacks and use that same smoke to make people's fears come to life upon breathing it in. So he's essentially a Scarecrow parody but with a disco motif.
Guys what should I do if I'm in a situation where I need to defeat not 4 villains, but an entire alien army at once? What gun should I use? 🤔

Maybe not my take, but I like the play on light and dark that could be done with something like this. Specially a play between a normal hero movie with horror moments. Like… those creatures a totally unstopable if you don’t have regular weapons or the dehydration gun.
I told my idea in the redesign video and I see you made this aliens empaths. That’s so cool. Thinking how scary fighting a hive of empaths would be. They literally could learn from eachother and defend in different ways

I wanted to see if Metroman would truly be so stubborn that he would refuse to help against an impossible enemy when Megamind was in need… but I also didn’t want him to swoop in and kick butt without breaking a sweat! I needed a challenge for both of them, and I’m glad it fits the theme :D
This is great I could see some of these ideas carried over to the series with some of megaminds tech being stolen during the incident and the villains using it I could also see keiko turning to the darkside after dealing with issues after the incident and this could coincide wifbe the sibling arc I mentioned in the redesigning the megamind rules villains with her sibling taking an anti villain role being against the super villains but not really pro megamind seeing him as a pawn for the system that caused this mess
Keiko being on the dark side is 👀👀 I haven’t seen a kid villain before. It’d be hard to stop her without hurting her!
megamind 2 could've been about fanaticism with the Doom Syndicate being fans of Metroman before Megamind became a hero, then got mad over him being a hero, and went to go arttack him or smth idk

I think it would need a focus of what its about, what its satirizing, like the first one satirized incels before that was a term. Though it wasn't big, so eh. Then Megamind was kind of responsible for some stuff that happened in the first film, so him sending out a message from Earth to seek out other aliens for help or what not might be an interesting detail. Another subplot could be him trying to give Roxy powers or what not, to protect her, while she protests she doesn't need it. Maybe also Megamind has made Metrocity into a mild surveillance state. Which might be sucking power or what not. But that might be too complicated to handle.
Exactly, AND it needs an overall theme! I did kinda skirt around the fact that Megamind might be over-policing his city, and the citizens might not like the roaming bots watching their every move and causing issues. I was too focused on getting new aliens 😂. Had I simplified the plot a bit more, I could have focused on infighting between citizens or Megamind not realizing how controlling he’s becoming etc etc.

@@fantasycreed Yeah, the rest worked pretty good overall. Love the world building and the character dynamics, plus that awesome proposal mid battle. I could imagine Dreamworks making the proposal plotline a mild parody of the Frozen 2 proposal subplot, but keep the drama there.
The aliens might need some silly bits for comedy lol. Maybe they're actually all clumsy, and it took them so long to get a translator/psychic communication device because they keyt breaking it or something. I don't know, something that makes sense for the world that doesn't make the aliens too incompetent. Clumsiness might make them less of a threat or too much of a joke.

Megamind honestly never needed a sequel. It had a perfect ending. Megamind became good, he found his true purpose, he defeated Titan and got Roxanne. What more could you want? I think dreamworks should’ve instead just made a sequel to much lesser known movie they made that has more sequel opportunity such as Rise of the Guardians or Monsters Vs Aliens.

I actually JUST learned what a movie’s theme was, and I regret that I didn’t know before I started!
Self-doubt is always a great lesson to tackle, as is not trusting others and trying to put people into a bubble to protect them, not realizing it’s actually controlling. What is loving protection and trust versus control and suppression?
The main theme is a difficult one, mainly because the first film did so, so well addressing its own theme! In order to really fit a theme, I need to go back and alter some things around in my idea to really bring out a moral. Thank you for making me think!

Think about it, if Megamind grew up with criminals, then the sequel should've had a shard of the past antagonist who refuses to accept Megamind's new life. Most of these ideas took inspiration from Dig-Daeg Studios but it's your story. Let me know about the changes you made regarding morals and themes. Great work!

Late to this but its very interesting love the alien race you created to very interesting designs.
Whole idea i had was some scientist guy was trying to be like megamind and make superheros with a special syrom he wanted to help megamind with future endeavors but megamind getting Hal flashbacks didnt like this so tried to make him stop and was even getting legal help with Roxanne and even the mayor. The guy started to rush before Megamind could stop this and ended up causing an accident that gave him and others in the building he was in powers. Some were just freaking out while others decided to be villians and now megamind has deal with it
Daaang that’s actually quite interesting and cool! One accident causes tons of problems for poor Megamind, that’s enough for a whole series too. Now he has to train the new Heros (or try to take away their powers) AND deal with a bunch of villains everywhere. Cool concept!
Someone could cook with the original concept of Megamind pretending to be a villain because an evil team appears, but have it be that he wanted to JOIN it, and they only appear after he has been in there about two months. Have Megamind get a heads up (why wouldn't they give him one here), and have Megamind tell the population to be a bit more careful, and tell them his plan, that way the scenes of evil Megamind commits are actually staged. Give Megamind a reason NOT to use the dehydration gun with Deep and Behemoth (or their renamed and better costume versions of this movie) being immune, and that they would be able to tell he was up to something if one went. Also, have the Doom Syndicate actually be similar to Megamind and have him feeling worse and worse about what he has to do, but he will go along with it because he needs to protect the city. Finally, have a better named and better looking Machia Villain be the villain with him not only be the reason that the Doom Sydicate met, but also have him betray the Doom Sydicate neat the end so they can have a heart to heart with Megamind about his past and have them all work together to kick the evil fucker to the curb.
Already a more interesting plot than what we got, and I like the idea of Megamind being able to PLAN because he’s a PLANNER
Also more villains learning how to be heros would have been interesting and hilarious!

A bit of criticism is that it kinda feels less like the original. You can have serious moments and the ideas you shared here were really creative, but it didn’t really have time for the tone of the original to breath naturally.
Honestly, you’re spot on!! I failed to make a strong theme to wrap my script around, and I think it really shows. If I had a bit more time to really focus in on the themes or the goofiness, I might’ve made it sound more like a true Megamind plot.
I enjoy your story much better and i thought the alien head thingy was to control Roxanne😅

Okay, update, so another alien especies that feed of energy sounds like a concept that isn't used as much and you take on it was great, also for some reason the alien design's reminded me alot of dragonflys and its such a perfect design, its a bit irónic that the black is reponsible one's again for an almost alien extiction. For some reason i just imagine one of the aliens geting shot whit the dehidration gun and it body contorts and twist tryng to absobr the energy befour turning in to cubes, still love your vids❤❤

The protagonist would be Melvin Sneedly and he would have his home invaded by children’s book characters, the villain would be Gabby, which is revealed to be the granddaughter of the girl from A Bad Case of Stripes.

I’m sorry you believe this is appropriation and not appreciation. I think the design of a Wendigo beautifully haunting, hence why I wished to try out a robotic-type design! Minion’s current suit is modeled after ‘bigfoot’, an American legend, so I wanted to take inspiration from another type of furred, upright creature.

Something that popped into my mind is that the soundtrack could have a lot of potential, imagine "Fear of the Dark" by Iron Maiden playing while the aliens invade, "Keep on loving you" or "November Rain" playing while Megamind proposes to Roxxane, and either "Bawitdaba" or "Rollin" from Limp Bizkit playing before the final battle, almost like Welcome to the Jungle played at the beginning of the battle against Hal.
OUgh I love these classic soundtrack suggestions!! Excellent choices, and they would elevate the scenes so much!

16:58 I have a few ideas on why Megamind couldn’t wear the device;
1. Megamind’s neurons are too dense for the device to work on him, making them incapable
2. The device would work with people who can open their minds to the device, needs a willing host (or something like that)
3. Humans have a very weak, but practical telepathic abilities. You know the old saying “Great minds think alike”, it’s something similar to that. Ex: when you and your friends will have the same idea, or would say the same thing at the same time (accidental jinx), have a gut feeling about them planning to do something dumb. We sometimes have a sense of potential dangers (listen to gut feeling Reddit stories), and the twin thing.
I love ALL of those reasons, why couldn’t we “great mind alike” while I was writing this script 😭😭 those are genius!!!

I think my only complaint would be the lack of a theme. Its solely a continuation of plot.
The first movie had a clear message and theme about self-worth, purpose and morality as well as "Nature vs Nurture".
You could maybe fit similar themes in this one. Since the enemy is alien this time, what if there were multiple alien species? You could have the energy aliens be a sort of highest power that uses species from other worlds to help them as they invade and search for energy. The lower aliens could maybe recognise Megamind's species and try to empathise with him over his homeworld's destruction, as they too lost their homes. The theme could then be about belonging as Megamind learns that despite being an alien, he is just as much an earthling as everyone else. He could maybe find joy in learning about his harritage, maybe even from other members of his species who survived, only to accept earth as his home. This could even be an opportunity for him to try and reason with the lower aliens, showing them that earth could be their new home too, showing off how much he learned from Roxanne.
The plot could mostly stay as you showed it. Arguably, your plot offers a lot of opportunities for that theme of herritage and family vs chosen family and legacy.
Minion could meet other similarly aquatic aliens who also need to travel in mechanical bodies. Here he could even change his name from Minion to Chum, asserting his role not as someone who obeys orders, but willingly helps his friends and family.
Metroman could find some joy in his powered down state, enjoying various sports and hobbies he couldn't either due to his abilities making the challenge non-existent, or because of his practically immortal body never really needing to rest or relax, finally having the chance to enjoy the city he had spent decades protecting.
Maybe some of the villains gained their powers from the aliens and decided that since they were complete outcasts on earth, its better to join with those who don't have a home and who won't judge them for being different.
(Pierre Pressure could be either blind or deaf, using his telepathy to see and hear through other living beings the same way you suggested he speak through them. Nighty Night and Behemoth could be aliens who had been stranded on earth, finally finding a home for themselves among the aliens. Lady Doppler could have been bullied for her vitiligo and Machiavillain would already have a deep distain for people.)
Lastly, I think the ending is kinda too... positive.
Its kinda jumping the shark but I like the idea of the aliens at least wanting to be good.
I think it would work better as a parallel to Megamind and Metroman if the aliens weren't necessarily evil, but far more apathetic towards other species than they were. They still took the time to collect other survivors of the black hole, but the longer they stayed without energy, the less they cared about anything other than gaining it. Maybe instead of just talking it out, Roxanne could use her experience as a reporter to get more information about the aliens, eventually learning about their backstory herself instead of being told. She could then relay it to megamind, who would then be stuck with a moral dilemma. If they keep fighting, the aliens would finally run out of power and the lower ones would be left without council and orders. But if he used his death laser, he could give them enough energy to at least come to reason and be temporarily satisfied, with the risk of him simply making them stronger but still as mad. You could have him contemplate the choice during the end battle. When he chooses the latter, he could then reason to Roxanne that: "I lied to you, but you still gave me a chance to redeem myself and helped me become more than I could ever hope to become. Since I couldn't figure out a solution, I just considered "what would the second smartest person I know do?" and then did it." .
This could also open up for a TV show replacement as well. It could be that not all of the aliens are happy about staying on earth and some humans could even be opposed to their presence. You could have the go fish gang gain their abilities after stealing and interacting with stuff belonging to aquatic aliens. The doom syndicate could form from aliens and humans banding together against a world that neglected them. Machiavillain could seize the opportunity and increase the conflict solely for the chaos of it all.
With all that yapping aside, though. Your art and script are nonetheless amazing on their own. I based off most of my ideas off of them and I am already having a blast imagining your new megamind.

I love all those neat ideas for incorporating the Doom Syndicate in various ways, even to the point of making them dangerous aliens!! Minion being even more central to the plot is really cool as well, and Pierre Pressure being deaf or blind is excellent, SEEING and speaking and hearing through others is SO eerie, I’d love a handicapped villain :0

I love this so much. These aliens pose a genuine threat to Megamind and the city and they might even be worse than Hal for him because they completely disable his gadgets. They could even take on Metro man. The only thing that saves them in the end being Roxanne, by communicating with the new aliens and creating a mutualistic relationship, really lives up to the "biggest threat Megamind has ever faced" from the actual Nevermind 2 and also plays on the themes of the first film by showing that the aliens weren't ever bad, like Megamind wasn't ever really bad, just misunderstood. It also helps Roxanne's potential mayor position, if that ends up happening. The old mayor is not up for reelection and she's chosen because not only is she the one who showed Megamind how to be good and is currently dating the hero of Metro city, but she's also a hero herself now that she reasoned with the alien population.
Exactly!! I wanted to make Megamind really have a hard time without his gadgets, and I wanted Roxanne to play a really big role in the film! I’m more partial for Roxanne still being a reporter, but maybe instead she’s more of a bridge between the species. The first to communicate, the first to want to understand, and someone who really turns the public’s emotions to pity and acceptance for them :0
I love this idea although I do think that the Doom Syndicate could be behind the invasion and instead of the aliens and their a evil group from another city that they conquered and are now trying to take over Metro City due to the disappearance of Metro Man and see this as a chance to expand their empire. I can give more details if you love this comment.

I really liked this rewrite way better than the one we got! Little disappointed with the “it was all a misunderstanding” ending cause those feel cheap to me but other than that this was epic!

@@fantasycreedmaybe a fix to it is that is 50/50 woth the aliens, like the queen and a small handful of the aliens are peaceful and wanted to have contact in a diplomatic way, but were concerned for mistranslation and such.
but there were other groups who were more on the conquering side and weren't keen on how the queen handled it, or really just wanted all the power to themselves and sought for the earth to fight back to justify their contact to become invasion.
like the end is with the queen and Roxanne fixing the game of telephone join forces to fight the warmongering aliens and to reveal to the non-hardliners that the warring Clique is lying to them, that earth is peaceful and willing to help, they just gotta stop fighting.
Now we need velma to be rewritten too
