I love this video. Ima start to do this. Because i spend too much money buying wax melt at the store and the smells dont last longer. Fragrance oil plus wax sounds Affordable 👍😀
I’m a first time maker, ty for the video, got to order some wax and scents....not sure what to order for pet friendly. Can you help me with this one? I’m in Canada. Also can you tell me the temperature for adding scents colour And pouring? Thank you so much.
Every fragrance has a flash point, so check that on your fragrances. I don't use essential oils because I have pets. They seem to be fine with fragrance oils though because if there are any essential oils in the make up of them, it's cut low and not full strength.
Hobby lobby if you don't want to order online. The size bottle depends on how many you want to make. I usually get the biggest bottle they offer on fragrances.
Thanks for replying back so quickly. I would like to make wax melts for my warmers. If I have a pound of wax I'm melting, could you give me an estimate as to how many drops (oz, grams or whatever) I'll need to add fragrance to this (I like it fairly strong)? I'm a newbie at this!
That all depends on what you like. Look up the ratio of fragrance that you need for the amount and type of wax you are using. For me, it was 2oz for one pound because I wanted them triple scented.
Flash point is the temperature candle wax and fragrance flashes over to fire. You always want to check the flash point of any ingredients you use and keep an eye on temps.
I stupidly tried to add Fragrance oil in while it was on the burner, because I wanted a stronger scent..... I won't be doing that again, scared the life out of me, but I managed to put the flames out.
Hi, I myself have been planning to make wax melts for my family thanks for this. I make soap and I know a lot about fragrance oils . There is a IFRA usage rate for each fragrance will have a different SAFE usage rate you will not want to add how much you want you need to stay within the maximum amount recommended by fragrance supplier to be safe . You do not want to breath in vapors nor do you want vapors it in your mucus and eye membranes. It seems like it would be a fire hazard with heat and too much free oil that is inbound to wax, I could be wrong about that statement
Sorry, but you are wrong. It doesn't matter how much you add to wax melts as long as you stay below the flash point of the fragrance, and add vybar to disperse the fragrance throughout the wax. Usage rates really only apply to products meant to be used on the body.
Omgosh those are cute... I bet your kitchen smells wonderful
I love your tutorials!
Glad you like them!
Thank you now I can make my own and not keep wasting money on Walmart melts that don't last long
Maria thank you. I was wondering how to make some. The ones from the store are so expensive.
How do you package these for sale?
Do you make bundles or individual pieces for sales?
What kind of pricing seems to do best?
Usually 10 per pack. Pricing depends on the cost of materials.

Glad it was helpful!
I have a question. May I use my used wax melts to make a new scent?
You can re-scent wax melts.
What is the cure waiting time before using them?
As soon as they are hard.
That looks very easy
Can u post where to find the Fragrance Angle Wings ?
Scentimentalgifts.com
Nice video what temperature does the wax have to you
Until it's melted. Be careful with fragrance flash points!

Can you use hard plastic molds like you use in resin?
I don't know if that would work. You pour the wax hot, so it might melt the plastic.
As long as Your pour at a cool enough temp
No resin is a cold pour . You want silicone baking molds, something you could put in the oven.
Slime
Hey hun can you reuse wax??
Probably
Love the video
What kind of wax ?! And also can I use the same wax to make a candle ?!
Paraffin
What wax do you use?
Paraffin
Where can I purchase some of your wax melts?
They are not currently available.
Hi, do you know of other places where I can buy scent for candles? Also, if I purchased through Scentimentalgifts, what size bottle do you recommend?
Hobby lobby if you don't want to order online. The size bottle depends on how many you want to make. I usually get the biggest bottle they offer on fragrances.

Also, make sure to use vybar in your wax to help the wax blend with the fragrance oil better.
vybar? what is it and where do I get that? Thanks!
Thanks!
Are your hotplates purple! I want them :)
sandy xx Me too!
Hi where can I find the scent you used, and the colorant you used for the wax can it be used for soap also? Thanks so much for this awesome video!
You can't use candle color in soap. Fragrances can be found at scentdeals.com
How do I store them after I make them?
Just a container with lid would work fine.
Thanks💜is plastic ok or does it have to be glass?
Super cute
You mentioned flash point but didn't explain what it is nor how to find that info? Sounded like a warning.

I stupidly tried to add Fragrance oil in while it was on the burner, because I wanted a stronger scent..... I won't be doing that again, scared the life out of me, but I managed to put the flames out.
Do you sell these?
Not anymore.
