Im addicted to AE but have not played Legacy (and I’m not planning to do so). You guys gave me an excellent time and helped me understanding the storyline of Legacy.
By the way: You did several mistakes but I’m sure this will get better within your next plays of AE (going to watch them now) :)

Note that playing a crystal simply adds the aether to you buying pool. You are not required to spend all of the Aether in your pool, though. So you can actually play a Crystal (or any other gem that does nothing but add aether to your pool) and not buy anything with the aether generated.
The "no discard" rule has the greatest effect on spells due to the way they are prepared.

Glad to see you playing "A-Ons" End! Hope you enjoy the game as it reveals it mechanics in the campaign.

A good looking game. It reminds me of Rune Age, only because I have never played an Aeon's End before.

Seems like that's a hard thing to come by! Here are a couple of BoardGameGeek threads I found that might help you: boardgamegeek.com/thread/2093072/first-game-setup-sheet and videogamegeek.com/thread/2768808/aeons-end-legacy-i-lost-first-game-setup-sheet

    You pronounce the A

You do not hear the 'A' in the actual word 'aeon'. So, unless the word in the title is referring to a name, and not the word 'aeon', you do not pronounce the 'A'.

Considering "æon" is the original spelling of "eon", it's obviously pronounced like "eon", at least in American English. Unless, as said by Lord Vader, it's someone's name and his name is pronounced differently than the word it is based on. The problem here is that æ is an actual letter in many Germanic languages and has been replaced by other letters - ä in German - and it has different pronunciations in each language.
Æon in a science fiction setting has been historically pronounced as "Eon" - like "Æon Flux" - so I'd go with that.
