- Well after I read what was probably a bit of a joke comment, asking for a 5* uber driver video - I decided to give it a whirl! I had a really nice vision for this video and it's honestly with the deepest regret that it just didn't deliver anywhere close to what i'd imagined or intended. The view from inside the cockpit, through a camera lense is maybe 1/5th of the beauty that can be seen through the human eye. I'm really sorry that I just couldn't convey the beauty literally all around me! I tried multiple attempts and it was just a step too far with my current camera and set up. The sound isn't great and neither is the volume of the first 4 minutes.
Having said that, hopefully one or two of you might enjoy the car sounds and a little of the commentary.
The car journey starts from 4 minutes and the 0 talking starts from 32:30
I've looped the no talking portion for those who really like longer videos, without making it so long that it will burn too much data!
Also, apologies to Maserati! As we pass one of the local dealerships I said something like "to the right is the Ferrari and Lamborghini building" However it's Ferrari and Maserati :D Lamborghini is about a mile after it!

ASMR is essentially a made up acronym (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response ) used to describe that tingly / buzzing feeling you may have experienced in your head or running down your spine. The sensation can be triggered by personal attention, tutorials, sounds etc. If you are discovering "ASMR" videos for the first time, their primary purpose is just to relax and almost always to send the listener to sleep.
I'd like to say thank you to everyone for your patience with this video! Again I do apologies it didn't turn out anywhere near as polished as i'd have liked - however I really hope some of you find it useful to drift off to sleep to and to experience a little flavour of what this amazing city has to offer.
I'd also like to say the most enormous thank you to my girlfriend for filming all of this. We had to try quite a few times between the lighting, the heat and various other hurdles. However she never once complained and i'm enormously grateful to her :D

It's always surprised me whenever I'm travelling and sat in the back of a cab or uber on the way to a hotel etc. just how calming and reassuring it feels being sat there seeing the new place you're visiting for the first time - all the excitement you get at the thought of all the places you want to see... just being there in anticipation of it while also just feeling so relaxed... one of those "this is the life" moments that we all aim to have.

Edit: Random story but this video just sparked memories. When I was young, like 1 year old young, when I cried at night, my dad would get into the car with me and drive me around the block and it knocked me out instantly. Ever since then, my dad would take me on night trips and most of the times I fall asleep, and when I don’t, I love looking at the lights and everything in the city, the motion just makes me so calm, this is perfect visualization of what I love when on night trips.

I didn’t expect an ASMR video touring my home would be so interesting. This reminds me of taking a late midnight drive with my father around downtown and through the large communities. Despite how much this amazing video covered, you could never show Dubai’s true potential. Everyone always talks about how it’s just rich Arabs and ‘women can’t drive’ and BS like that. Dubai is the best place on earth and you can fight me on that’s. Love the video and keep up the great work!

I used to live there, but I moved to England in July 2019. I love this video a lot because it always, without fail, bring all of my memories of driving around Dubai, and the sounds outside back, and I can almost feel what it’s like again.
I love this video but one thing that always makes me laugh is him offering us the coke and then shortly after in the video you see him drinking it

As someone that values being close to nature, not seing cars around and an overall sober lifestyle it was really interesting hearing you describe why you enjoy this large and luxurious city so much. We dont hear about other's perspectives often enough
It's very pretty, but that beauty comes at a massive cost to the environment and the world at large. It's also incredibly corrupt with a draconian autocrat ruler that oppresses freedom. So basically it's only beautiful if you ignore all the issues and just go with It.
