Great review which answered questions I have about accessories. This may not affect the performance of the rifle but knowing the moderator has to be removed along with other things to fit in the case is useful info not covered in other reviews. Great. unbiased
My man!! You got yourself some Alpha Wolf action! Because I follow your commentary I have come to expect from you certain critiques and you are very consistent my man. You picked up on all the things that make buying a top-shelf product feel less top-shelf. When there is a "Special QC Process" that is reserved for only the very best then it better be on point else what's the difference? What is special if there is no special?? I felt exactly what you were saying. Great conveyance of thought my dude. I also fully agree while the experience was less than promised the performance of the hardware made up for it. To some, it is nit-picking but you have seen the type of documentation I provide when I build an air rifle and that is for something that is something that is one 8th the price! I look forward to you stretching the legs on that beauty. Congratulations on the dope purchase and enjoy it!
Thank you much Haj!! I always appreciate your feedback! It really means a lot to me! Someone on FB just left a comment stating that my review is worthless because Daystate gave me the gun?? Not sure what video he watched. Lol! And yes, I expected a lot more out of their QC. You provided me with more info than I even understood at the time. Your customer service, QC and workmanship are top notch! From your builds to products! 💯🤙🤙🤙
Thanks for the run thru. Waiting on mine from AOA. If it shoots slugs as well as my Redwolf Safari, I'll be happy. I can say after buying rifles from Daystate since the 80's, that the check sheets and performance sheets are never what the rifle actually does. Like they just go through the motion of checking things off. And the shooting test sheets are just generic. Not factual. But all in all, I've been happy with Daystates. Except the magazine prices! Look forward to more on the Alpha Wolf from you.
Hey Randy! Thanks for the feedback! That's very helpful to know! I'm overall very pleased with the Alpha. I've been shooting it for a bit now, and I love it more and more every day! I'll be getting some shooting content on it soon! 🤙🤙🤙
Hey Randy are you getting the Delta or the Alpha ? Well I don't think it matters the only difference is the stock . However I would recommended getting the 25 caliber first you can't go wrong the twist rate on the barrel is a faster twist rate making it versatile for Slugs and pellets . And very accurate out to 100 meters or 110 yards and I do mean accurate . Now with the 30 cal not so much my 30 cal has a slower barrel twist rate on it and it don't like slugs as much as the 25 cal Now I was tole that Daystate was coming out with a 30 cal slug barrel that would have a faster twist rate on it but that could just be talk . If and when you get you air rifle and need any help setting it up I would be more able to help out .
@Michael-zp5dy hello. Thank you for reaching out. I had gotten the Red Alpha in .22 when they were first released, shortly after my comment on here. You are totally right in the twist rate. I did extensive testing with every slug I could get my hands on. (Brands, sizes, weights.) Most my findings are still in the Daystate groups and Alpha wolf group on Facebook. I then got the Safari edition in .25 as soon as it was released to us from AOA. I couldn't be happier. And with the new updated value in them all now, they became even better. The .22 is a great pellet shooter. But I wanted the power and accuracy to shoot slugs out of these rifles. The .25 is doing both for me. I tune to my liking in advanced mode. Oh. And no first shot drop off on this rifle. Sadly my first released Red Alpha had it's FPS problems with first shot being low after sitting idle. No more of that fortunately. Sounds like you're enjoying your rifle too. 😊
Hey! Thanks for watching!! I've been shooting my Alpha every day since I got it and I love it! I'm editing a video now showing how many shots it takes to actually get where you want it. It's still not 1 shot. But, very impressive and dead accurate! No regrets with the purchase! 🤙🤙🤙
Well at least the new magazine doesn't chop a hole in the pellet probe like the old ones did. But hey, it was just cosmetic according to Daystate. LOL Good review.
The mag wow, that's silly for daystate. Only one would get under me skin for sure. Super sexy though. I just got a uragan 30, haven't made up my mind on ammo yet. Obviously jsbs but weight is still up in the air. Have several and fx hybrid slugs in different weight. Need more bench time I guess to see what I like. I want this to be me 100yd bench gun. Well I loved ya vid mate. Can't wait to see ya shooting it. Hope it turns out as your dream gun! Give her a hug an kiss for me. 😂 Looking forward to the next vid.
Hey Will! Thank you much brother! Yeah, the mag situation is a bummer. But, I still love it. I definitely want to add an Uragan .30 to the collection. I only have the JSB 44.75's. I need to collect some variety and see what this likes best. I got this to compete as well. I definitely want to be shooting 100 yds too. I've been eyeing some NSA's and Mr.Hollow Points. Keep me posted on your new baby! Don't worry, I'll give mine a hug and kiss for you before I tuck her in tonight! 🤣🤣🤣🤙🤙🤙
I just ordered an Alpha Wolf Safari in .22. I'm reading where some alpha wolf owners are experiencing an issue where after it sits 10 min or so, it will not hold velocity. Sometimes dropping more than 100fps. Then after shooting a few shots, it levels out again. For hunting, this would be a serious issue. Have you experienced this with yours? If so, what did you do to remedy it? Thanks.
Hey J! Congratulations on your new purchase! I have heard that people have had this experience. I personally have not had this issue. The Safari Edition already has the new valve and latest data updated. The issue may have been with some of the original valves. I haven't heard anything negative about the Safari Edition. Hopefully that answers your questions. Let me know how you like your Alpha when you get it!🤙🤙🤙
Im about to pull the trigger on an Alpha Wolf Safari. I try to contact Daystate via mail to ask them a couple questions about the twist rate of the barrel and performance with slugs. No answer… even the Daystate dealer here in The Netherlands has no answer. Seems like Daystate don’t want to sell me a rifle. Think im going for the Scout Epoch.
Hey there! I would highly recommend the Alpha over the Epoch. The Alpha Wolf has won competitions while the Skout team hasn't hit the podium. My friend Eric is in the Netherlands and he shoots Daystate/Brocock.
@@bullfrogairguns yes you got a point. When you buy a Daystate you know it’s going to perform, competition proves it. They won’t have any teething problems. But the art barrels that Daystate is using aren’t optimized for shooting slugs due to their choke (for what I’ve read online). Skout coms with a slug liner very soon and the fact that it’s a hammer-less system is very appealing to me. I think Skout has a lot of potential but right now It’ll be wise to go with the Alpha Wolf and shoot heavy pellets. Have you tried slugs in your alpha wolf?
First off congratulations on your new Daystate . I just purchased the exact same gun and caliber. Unfortunately I could not get the gun to shoot a constant velocity even after 50 round’s. This thing was all over the place, Low’s in the 800s highs in the 950s. Set the gun to shoot 900 fps with 44 grain pallet .I sent it back to Airguns of Arizona I hope They can sort out the problem.
Hey! Thank you! I'm sorry to hear that. That's a bummer. I'm sure they will get it fixed. I trust AOA and Daystate. But, it really sucks when you drop that much and expect perfection. Keep me posted on your progress please! 🤙🤙🤙
Just wanted to give you an update on the Daystate Alpha Wolf. Got it back today from Airguns of Arizona they said it had a broken striker spring and that was the cause of the issue. So far I’ve put about 100 rounds through it seems to be doing OK it does take several shots for to finally settle in to the speed you dial it in for.
Hey! Thanks Mitch! It's the Huma Regulator adjustment. I realized I moved on without explaining that. You set the regulator digitally. However, you can also make adjustments with that dial for more or less power. I'll be shooting some slugs soon so I'll know if that's what is needed to achieve the higher velocity. I'll have that on the next video. 🤙🤙🤙
Looks like you got the Royal Royce of airguns, I am kind of disappointed that it didn't come with two magazines for the price of that particular model. I look forward to seeing your video's very straightforward review without the fluff that paid/gifted reviewers do.
Thank you very much! I appreciate you and your feedback! It is disappointing to only have one mag for this price. Maybe Daystate will see this and add the extra mag. I hope so at least!🤙🤙🤙
Awesome gun man but yup that kinda sucks no manual or two mags and in my opinion you nail it right on the head daystate did jump the gun they should of waited and work all the KInks out and did some QC Q&A before the release of the gun ..I'm sure they will work stuff out after watching this video that's how it works great buddy thanks for sharing bsafe 👍
Hey Chris! Thanks for the view and feedback! I still have faith they'll get everything fixed. Hopefully they do see this. If I had all of this info before my purchase, I still would have bought it and not been bummed about anything. I would have known what to expect. Hopefully this helps someone out. 🤙🤙🤙
Hi there! When set at 950 fps, regulator at 180 with 44.75 grain JSB'S , I get 15 shots. I'm going to be doing some testing at 100 yards to see what the best tune is. I would like to get 25 shots out of a fill. 🤙🤙🤙
Well I'll just stick with my Delta Wolf . The Alpha Wolf is just like the Delta Wolf . It's just the Alpha wolf has a wooden stock on it . And as for me that wooden stock I don't want to take it out hunting and get it all scratched up . The Delta Wolf is 90% metal. It's like a Timex it takes a licking and keeps on ticking . As much money the Alpha Wolf cost I would be afraid to take that out in the field . I think that the Delta Wolf is made for hunting not the Alpha Wolf .
Hey Michael! I agree 100%! If you already have a Delta Wolf, you definitely don't need an Alpha Wolf. However, I highly recommend the new valve and data update. I recently picked up everything to convert mine to a Delta set-up. I like the stock for bench rest. But, I really like the Delta set-up for hunting, PRS and Extreme Field Target.
Been a while/ now in to the more expensive stuff. I am not a fan of Their product. Want nothing with electronics to work. That was why I got and FX. And the mags are expensive for them as well. No reason for it to be so high.
Hey John! Yes it has! I'm trying to stay more consistent with the content. This was definitely a jump from the rest of my collection. I get it. A lot of people don't care for the electronics. A couple years ago I wasn't a fan either. But, then I held and shot a Delta Wolf. I love them now. I agree. The mags are really nice. But, shouldn't be such a high price tag. 🤙🤙🤙
