- Today, we sit down with Wesley Huff, Christian apologist and Central Canada director for Apologetics Canada, to discuss apologetics, proof for the Bible, and his upbringing in a missionary family. He tells us about a rare childhood diagnosis, which left him paralyzed from the waist down, only to experience a miraculous, supernatural healing exactly one month later. We also discuss his experience going on "The Joe Rogan Experience" as well as his debate with Billy Carson a couple of months ago, which ended with Carson sending him a cease and desist letter! And we ask him some of your most pressing apologetics questions.

It was great to be on Allie, thanks for having me!
Praying for you, Wes - that your evangelism will be a Kingdom-builder, and that your body and mind will remain healthy and rested in His goodness. Thank you for all you do, I'm sure your schedule is crazy but God is surely at work ❤
Great interview. Great job, Wes.
God bless you both!
Relocating to Mexico from Canada 15 years ago, how refreshing to see this content. For English speakers we feel like we are in a desert. And the local churches are either Catholic or hypercharismatic. Thank goodness I am involved in a weekly small group bible study with like minded Bible believers.
Love you bro!!! Youre going everywhere haha!! As a missionary and evangelist and apologetics guy myself you are such a breath of fresh air Wes!!! Love you man and always praying for you!
Wes has been on our podcast multiple times before everything blew up and we’re so happy. He’s finally getting the notoriety he deserves. 💪
God is definitely putting in work ❤ so exciting to see him everywhere now!
I was first introduced to him on cultish and really appreciated everything he was answering is doing for the name of Christ! So glad he is getting the notoriety he well deserves
Big fan of your podcast cultish!
Which episodes?
This was one of my favorite episodes of Allie’s. I really enjoy listening to Wes!
The Word of God does not return void.
Amen!
Wes is incredibly well spoken and researched! He knows his stuff!!!!
WES HUFF is starting The YEAR STRONG going on Allie Beth Podcast!! This is SO AWESOME! I love and respect Wes heart for God and his incredible intelligence! 😊
Wes Huff is reformed! I knew it. I like him even more
I absolutely love Wesley Huff. I discovered him when Melissa Dougherty interviewed him in 2020. Melissa Dougherty is someone else you should interview. Especially with her book Happy Lies just being released!
Yes! I was thinking that, too?
Me too !! I love Wesley Huff!!!
It was nice to see more of his faithful side (as opposed to his logical side - which I so appreciate) in this interview 🙏🏻
Yee, praise God! I love the answer he gave for his favorite books! After studying Hebrews recently, I've really learned to appreciate Leviticus for that same reason. What a great interview! 😃
Love your interview ❤
Wes is doing the Lords work! And so are you Allie! Gos bless ❤
Love Wes!
Praise the Lord!!
Allie Beth is not playing around in 2025!! I’m here for it!!!!
PRAISE GOD for Wes Huff
I was hoping you would seek to invite Wes on to Relatable!
Loved it!
I think people are sick of both Progressive dogma and Fundamentalism religious dogma. Just saw an interview with Jelly Roll talking about that dogma
ABS for JRE!!!!!!
"And there is salvation in nobody else (Jesus Christ)for there is no other name under heaven whereby we must be saved" (from the eternal penalty of our sins.) Acts 4:12
Atheists can’t believe Billy Carson’s career is now over because of Wes Huff LOL!! Aron Ra would absolutely lose it if Matt Powell appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience and I’m totally here for it 😎
Love Wes ❤
What a great discussion! I'm not thrilled with the number my like of this show came to. 😮
YHWH is with Wes
Calvinist vs non Calvinist derbates always make me think of what it would be like to listen to two pharisees debating on whether it's a twig or if it's fire wood. Or what is the minimum size rock allowed to stone someone with. Makes me think of 1 Cor 1:11 - 1:13.
Hebrews ❤ is why I got baptized
❤❤❤
As a Jew with an intermediate knowledge of ancient Hebrew I can honestly say that it's laughable to try to argue that elohim always means gods in Hebrew because often the plural is used irregularly to emphasize a word and many times elohim is used with masculine singular third person verbs like in Genesis 1:1 bara is the singular third person perfect tense Hebrew verb meaning to create and it's used with elohim plus elohim is used to describe angels and kings and judges in the Hebrew Bible as well as to describe idols and to describe the one true G-d of Yisrael
I think Wes is great but I’m a bit disappointed that he seems to be a Calvinist.
Not sure I understand Calvinism
Can you give an explanation
It would be awesome if Allie and Leighton from Soteriology101 had a discussion about Calvinism!
@ Calvinism in a nutshell subscribes to the idea that God’s Sovereignty includes the fact that He created evil so He could show His glory. Also, He elected those who will be saved in eternity past, “the elect” and ignores everyone else. Calvinism will say that we still have a free will, but ultimately we don’t, which is why Wes explanation in this video wasn’t very clear. Calvinism also says that Christ didn’t die for all, only the elect, the ones God picked to be saved, and they will have no choice but to be saved, God will make them believe in Christ (even though they’re picked to be saved?). Calvinism minimizes Christs work on the cross, and it is not the Gospel. They base their belief on various documents/doctrines, the most prominent being WCOF Westminster confession of faith, and almost always hold it in a position where it is absolute doctrine over scripture itself.
You are getting hung up on a secondary issue. He is a brother in Christ and we agree on the primary issues of the faith, so Praise God for Wes and the platform he’s been given to spread the gospel.
@@clint88122 I agree, Wes is great, and his content is fantastic, and yes, praise God he gets to share the truth of Jesus to a huge audience.
I wish Joe (if you're watching this) would try to curb using the Lord's name in vain. Do you use your mom's name as an expletive? Jesus Christ needs to be glorified. Carelessly using His name is sinful. I know you can do better.
Yes!
Dudes currently broadcasting from a potato
I hope they both go deeper in their journeys and find the fullness of the faith, not Calvinism
Wes please be careful next time. Word for word means word for word.
Apparently you missed the video where Wes Huff was strongly debunked…by Wes Huff. 😂
Enjoyed the interview but struggling with the relevance of the Calvinism question's relevance. Calvinism teachers your are saved before you have faith, which is horribly unscriptural. It also teachers that before the creation of the world God determined who would be saved and who would not. As John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world..." Stay on topic
Calvinism does not teach you are saved before you have faith.
But yes it does teach God determined who would be saved before the creation of the world because that's what the Bible says (Ephesians 1).
Your understanding of Calvinism is not accurate. Perhaps understand what the Calvinist position is and the scriptural references used to support that position, and refrain from attributing your inaccurate understanding of it.
Calvinist are a bunch of Know It All’s which is a turnoff. We’re right and everyone else is wrong
Respect very much both of you but have to so disagree with your calvinistic perspective. Yes God's will will be done but what I extrapolate from all the scripture is that his will was to have a family that was not preprogrammed to serve him or honor him. He preferred to make it optional so that he would have what he wanted. Jesus said and hit the scripture choose today whom you will serve and count the cost Etc. The implication is there is a choice. And the outcome is not written like a book. That doesn't mean God doesn't know the outcome but he has made it so that we have a choice. Otherwise we are just puppets. Also just the story of Jonah, how important it was for God to have Jonah relay that they needed to repent. So God uses us as instruments to gain what he chooses to gain. And of course we know there is an opponent. Not that the opponent could win but he uses the opponent to provide a choice so to speak
I agree. Thank you for sharing!
Rogan's ear seems to always be listening for ways to prove Christianity wrong; gotcha moments. And let's not forget his old stand-up comedy routine mocking God. Until I hear him apologize for mocking Christ I will not give him a second of my time.
I get it, but some things take time. I'm so glad God didn't write me off when I was defying him for seven years.
@@sabl6381 sure I understand and was lost before I was saved but people are to quick to see greatness because of popularity or worse, subscriber count. There are a lot of terrible churches with standing room only. i may have been bad but i never mock GOD as he routinely did. Look at all the celebrities finding religion in front of the camera while singing me, me, me. ....... I pray for everyone finding the true meaning of the sermon on the mount. Give the glory to God
There was a guy back in the day that was so zealous for his tribe that he chased, arrested, and beat those who taught about Jesus.
Jesus ended up knocking him off his horse and blinding him. Ananias was sent by God to Paul to pray for him and restore his sight. Before Paul apologized.
Jesus Christ and His apostles are Sabbath keeping Jews. Sunday worship was given to us through Catholicism, compliments of Constantine and originating from paganism.
Actually, much of the time they spent in the synagogues was spent in mission work, trying to reach other Jews and tell them about Jesus. Acts speaks of them meeting together specifically on the "first day of the week" to break bread. This is what became the Christian day to honor our Lord's resurrection and meet together. Jesus says He is our Sabbath rest and argued against the Pharisees abuse of a law that was given to bless God's people, not bully them.
There is nothing pagan about the Church choosing to meet together on the first day of the week instead of the last. It is simply a tradition meant to honor Jesus and the early church's example.
