I personally admire the fact that despite announcing that every sibling’s for himself now he soon resumes his attempts to get everyone home. Even after feeling completely done with them, he chooses to get over his frustration and anger and puts getting them all to safety in priority
Oh yeah. That should ring a bell to the others who always blame him for their problems. Five always cares about his siblings, kill a lot of people for them. He’s a loving brother, indeed. He’s a teddy bear!
I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that they died in the first apocalypse. He spent 45 years grieving their deaths and wondering if he could’ve saved them if he hadn’t so irresponsibly stormed out of the house and traveled to the future. Now that he has them back, he’ll do anything to keep them safe.

Okay but the opening scene in this video is my favorite scene in the entire show. It shows Five Character very well. Earlier to the scene Five enters the elevator, sights, take a deep breath and fix his uniform. Those are signs of nervousness. He can just teleport to the top floor using his powers but instead he uses the elevator to buy some time. Clearly he was still scared of Reginald. He was the most dangerous assassin in space-time continuum but having a proper talk again with his father makes him nervous. When Diego and his siblings entered the elevator you can notice the way he smiles at the end of the scene, you can feel the sense of comfort. That shows how he relies so much to his siblings. Also, he is 58 years old and much older than Reginald during this scene
Totally, I love how Aidan expertly conveyed Five's nervousness over the prospect over confronting his future father. Despite all of his bravado and insistence that he can handle everything, he thrives under the support of his siblings, and clearly feels more comfortable when he realizes that they're all joining him, and that he's not in this alone anymore. 😍❤️
Yes! You can see he thought he had to do it all by himself again, but was happily surprised when his siblings showed up. It's such a nice detail that tells a lot about him.
I love that scene too! I don’t think he was scared of Reginald though. He was just nervous. He hasn’t interacted with his father in years. The last time he talked with his father was when they argued and he ran away, and it didn’t take long for him to realize why his father didn’t want him to try time traveling yet. He even said that he heard his father’s voice in his head many times when he was stuck in the apocalypse saying “I told you so”. He also mentioned feeling bad about giving his father a hard time as a child. In all, I think Five needed some closure, but was nervous about it. I’m glad he got the closure he needed with his father though.
I feel like people tend to forget how awful this must be for Five. I mean the other siblings had years or months to move on. Five stepped right from one apocalypse to an other.

People think he was obnoxious? I thought he was amazing in the first season. He was constantly trying to save his siblings and the world. He didn't stop even when he had a shrapnel wound in his stomach and was bleeding out. The only times he stopped was when the fake eye lead went up in an explosion and he got drunk in desperation; and when he passed out from loosing so much blood from the shrapnel wound. The only thing I didn't like was that he was trying to do everything himself. He wanted to prevent the apocalypse on his own, but he learned from that very fast and started including his family into his plans.
micuko vicious totally agree. And he wanted to prevent the apocalypse alone only because he saw their bodies when he went to the future and didn’t want to put them in danger. They always blame him for everything but he’s the reason they’re still alive.
Why there's a word TRYING shining red in the opening?! There's no irony there. He literally HAS BEEN the most responsible and mature person of the family for 2 seasons straight
I feel very sorry for Five. I can't imagine how stressed it is to do everything he can to save his family who can only blame him. He could have stayed with the commission, survived the apocalypse. But he chose to back home and save his family.
