China welcomes all friendly foreigners. I wish you and Alex have a good time in Chongqing. There are hundreds of cities in China that are similar to Chongqing. You can rest assured of your safety.
There are eight major cuisines in China. Chongqing belongs to Sichuan cuisine. It is more spicy. Every city has different cuisines and scenery. I wish you a happy time
@@MichelePonte The Eight Great Cuisines of China are Anhui (Hui), Cantonese (Yu), Fujian (Min), Hunan (Xiang), Jiangsu (Su), Shandong (Lu), Szechuan (Chuan) and Zhejiang (Zhe) ¹. These cuisines are named after the provinces or cities they originated from. Anhui cuisine is derived from the Huangshan Mountains region in Anhui Province. Cantonese cuisine comes from Guangdong Province. Fujian cuisine is from Fujian Province. Hunan cuisine comes from the Xiang River region, Dongting Lake, and western Hunan Province. Jiangsu cuisine is from Jiangsu Province. Shandong cuisine comes from Shandong Province. Szechuan cuisine is from Sichuan Province. Zhejiang cuisine is from Zhejiang Province.
Each of the Eight Great Cuisines of China has its own unique flavors and characteristics. For example, Szechuan cuisine is known for its spicy and numbing taste with the use of Szechuan peppercorns and chili peppers, while Cantonese cuisine is famous for its light and fresh taste that emphasizes the original flavors of the ingredients. Fujian cuisine focuses on seafood and light seasoning, while Zhejiang cuisine is known for its light, fresh, and tender texture with a focus on seasoning combinations. Each cuisine has its own unique features, and one can choose different cuisines based on personal preferences.

I've been spending a few days in Chongqing recently. I found that the city has a relatively young and energetic population. It's just amazing. What a brilliant society. Even if you don't agree with the politics you'd agree they've got a far superior quality of life than most of the western countries. Bless up 🙏🙏❤️ Keep being you.
Thank you William, traveling is what help’s changing stereotypes and prejudices. I always try to not follow the news and make my own opinions, and here in China I can see that the average standard of living is pretty high and that everyone can afford houses, plus free education and healthcare.
I love your words "Even if you don't agree with the politics you'd agree they've got a far superior quality of life than most of the Western countries."
The origin of Chongqing, a place name, comes from double celebration.Chongqing is a place name named by an emperor in Song Dynasty.Chongqing has a history of 834 years.Since an emperor of the Song Dynasty was promoted twice in a year, the emperor changed his name to Chongqing, which means double celebration.

I just feel that ordinary citizens in the West are very pitiful, and they receive such error -filled news and information of prejudice and rumors every day.
My family visited Chongqing in Jan,2023 and it is a nice city. As a Chinese, I cannot get used to a little spicy Chongqing style hotpot as all and keep drinking beverage from start to end . I cycle often in Beijing. Every time I cycle to one place I just leave my helmet in the basket. I’ve even left my phone once in the basket. Nothing stolen so far (but I haven’t gone as far as not locking up my bike).
Wow,Michele you're on the right trajectory.
Keep educating us about the real world & maybe we'll change some of our stereotypes.
Nuff respect for your hustle.
I can see you getting up to 200,000 subscribers soon & putting your haters to shame.
I'd rather live in a country where you can leave your valuables outside for hours & no one steals it.
It's just amazing.
What a brilliant society.
Even if you don't agree with the politics you'd agree they've got a far superior quality of life than most of the western countries.
Bless up 🙏🙏❤️
Keep being you.

Let’s goooo!
Hello Ponte good video vlog keep up Bro try to bring video every day from USA 🇺🇸
Hi Vitha, I'd love to publish every day, but it takes too much work to make such videos
Thank you for teaching me, I love to learn such infos!
Nope bones and spices 😮
Thanks for information of Chongqing.
That is about the name ,but the origin of the city itself is far before that. It's the capital of the Ba state, which is more than 2500-3000 years ago.
How does an emperor get promoted? Isn't it already the highest rank?
Wow the food looks absolutely amazing!
And Ponte's shooting skills at a whole new level. Amazing videos!
Hello Ponte.. nice watching you touring China.
Thank you Caroline!
@@MichelePonte welcome Bro.. and keep going God will continue blessing you
Chongqing is an amazing place indeed, I have been there for 2 years , the food , the people there are amazing!
Seems like a nice city. May be one day I can try visit China.
You should Jeremy 🙂
Welcome to China! Enjoy and have fun michele!
Thank you! Will do!
Buona permanenza!
Ho parenti in Canada, a Toronto 🙂
What is Alex's RUclips channel name?
As long as you have been to China in person, you will know how abominable and full of prejudice in the media and government of Western countries. They will only make up various lies to discredit China every day.
For noodle, you can order the noodle without any spicy in Chongqing and its noodel taste is so nice. Wish you have a nice trip in China and welcome to my city of Shenzhen.
Yes, it is very hard to get used to this spiciness, but eventually I hope to get used to it :)
One day I'll visit Shenzhen for sure!
@@MichelePonte Wish you can get used to the Chongqing spicy food asap and then you can enjoy almost all of Chinese food without problems . By the way, Chongqing nightview is awesome and some tourist places are worth visiting like Hongyadong, Chaotianmen ,etc and wish your channel becomes more popular and can reach 100k subscribers soon in China. Good luck !
Thank you so much for the suggestions!
@@MichelePonte don’t force yourself to eat spicy food if you don’t like it, a lot of Chinese just let the restaurant put a little or just avoid it, Sichuan style food is oily and strong
@@weizhang2834 I like it, but here is super super spicy!
Very informative video..your doing a great job showing interesting places in China
Thank you Diane!

It is said that of all countries, Italy is the most similar to China. Both people are family oriented. The food is delicious, the people are friendly, and life is easy-going.
Why sad? It’s good that we have similarities
@@MichelePonte said, not sad. lol
And people from both countries are flexible and not punctual, lol~~~
I agree 100% ❤

I think what makes your latest videos so unique are the voiceovers throughout the videos👍
It’s the food for me looks delicious. You are mad though the amount of chilliest in that food is crazy you did well. I am enjoying china vlogs 💕
Thanks a lot Gerty!
I like this video! It is very natural! No retouching! No acting! Wish you enjoyed your stay in China!
