Thank you! The livestreams have been helpful in making content like this so I’ll have to continue to experiment with the streaming/recording software. Much quicker than the processes I have previously used :)

@@MargoLAB For me, as an ‘outsider’, this formula is perfect to get a global understanding of a complex system. It really brought ‘it’ to life and instantly connected to your previous trade winds videos. It’s like a portal to world history. :) if that makes sense.

That’s great to hear! My hope is to effectively reproduce an “Intro to Oceanography” textbook but as a series of 5-10 min videos, so I’m glad it connects well with the trade winds video, building upon prior “chapters.” Was definitely a fun experiment so I’ll have to go over another lesson like this in the near future!

Probably the best explanation of Ekman's transport I've seen. neither my professor nor my textbook helped me understand how it worked very well. If I can`t simulate it in my mind then I don't feel I understand it, and you helped me do just that. So thank you.

This comment made my day! Thank you so much!! Glad these little lessons on how different parts of the earth system works are useful and BETTER than what is provided by university 😊😊😊

Thanks for the comment and kind words! It’s nice to know the newer “how the X works” are helpful, as the older ones get most of the views. Will have to get some new ones out before the start of the spring semester! Have a great weekend! 🎃

hi i know this is like weird to ask like in your comment section but would it be generally correct to say that the dome associated with the eckman current is caused by a gyre produced by the coriolis effect?
