Hi Timo, I think your idea also to analyze amateur players is great, mostly because at the top level the players are so complete. Whereas on lower levels it would be helpful for us amateurs to be able to recognize weaknesses that may not be obvious to us, but to someone like you.
Thank you for the great analysis Timo! Just a suggestion, maybe the volume of the match video could be decreased so that we can hear your own comments more clearly
@@timoboll8381 Hello Timo, I was going through the top 10 Timo Boll backhands video, and I observed that your action in recent years is quite different from your younger days, as in you go for a higher arc, spinnier loop as opposed to a more direct loop, what made you go for these changes? Could you please make a video regarding that?
Coach Timo thank you ! Great idea to analyze matches, pro or less pro it doesn't matter. You can also do older matches with well known retired players (maybe it's not possible for copyright reasons). But thanx again.
Awesome Timo. I would love to see a analysis on Ma Long, Fan Zhendong and XU Xin. But for now: Thank you very much! 🏓🎬 By the way: We would love to make a Trickshot Challenge with you in the future on our channel 🔥
That's a great idea. But for me an analysis of Wang Chuqin's game would be much more interesing. After winning the gold medal at the 2018 youth olympic games he evolved steadily and established himself in the men's rankings. Furthermore up to good recent results he is close to breaking into the Top 10 in the men's singles ranking if he can keep up his form. Be carefull and watch your back Timo :) I think he is currently on rank 14, missing about thousand points to get into the top 10. He had great performances recently at the Chinese simulation for Tokyo games, the Chinese Super League finals (beating Xu Xin) and also played a very good tournament in the WTT show event in Macao where he beat Mattias Falck (who had just demolished Xu Xin in the round before) quite impressive and was only stopped by Ma Long in the final. Another reason is that he is the recently best-performing left-handed player of the chinese national team and evolving into one of their best players. I'd confidently say, that he is the number four (if he can keep his recent results against Xu Xin up) or at least five in the Men's chinese national team after Fan Zhendong, Ma Long, Liang Jingkun, (Xu Xin). The other reason is that you can already find many good analysis's of Ma Long, Fan Zhendong and Xu Xin on YT. That's why I prefer an analysis of Wang Chuqin's game over an analysis of the game of Ma Long, Fan Zhendong or Xu Xin.
Thank you so much Timo!! Really appreciate your analysis and commentary! I'd love to hear your take on what types of strategies/match plans work for different levels of play! :)
Hello Timo! Great video! Amateur players have a lot to gain and understand things about strategy, tactics, placement etc from a player of your status and experience, that normally would never had the chance! Keep it up, it's an honor to learn things from you!
It's fantastic you can Start analyzing, all the people can understand a lot of things and leand about that, I'm realy exited to see an analyzing of one of my favourite players, Lubomir Pistej, thanks for your personality timo and i hope You had a nice birthday, Greetings from Uruguay
So much appreciated Timo, more so now, many of us can try and keep fit but the technical side of the game requires experience from another level, thank you.
Timo your appreciations are gold. It's amazing to hear you analyzing this game. I like what you said about TH forehand, of course is top of the line but you make me understand that actually he "waits" his opponents with his backhand and keep it safe.. This of course is not as pleasant for viewers as watching Ma Long or you hitting forehands.. But indeed very efective.
great analysis, thanks a lot Timo! Seems like Harimoto's backhand swing is often very short and just keeping it on the table with good spin. Lee Sangsu was taking massive swings with his BH and often missed here.
Great video ! I like it so much. I think analyzing games of special pips player (ex. Ni Xia Lian ,Ruwen Filus etc)would be great too. Since there are a lot of amateur players playing with pips.
I love analyses of games and you brought it on the point. Thank you for that video. Tactic is so important. Please continue with more match analyses, maybe even with amateur players.
Thank you Timo! Your expertise is very valuable to us all. It's great to hear your impression on both players and the overall set. I would like to hear more play-by-play analysis, not just overall, like you were doing more off towards the end of the video, also adding how the player who lost the point could have dealt with it better. Cheers
I never miss anything from you. You won the lot so,so are in a great position to analyse others!! Fair play to you Timo. Always love what you have to say!! Leo
Hi Timo Boll - Great video and as many of us here are not professional players like you. Would really approved that of you could share your experience on how to really analysis a game and method of way to play to certain type of opponent which will really helps us! 💪🏻 Appreciated it!
Oh yes, more please. It would be very nice to know about the tactics and what goes thought the mind of top players or even about how amateurs can improve.
haha I love Timo Boll's online youtube persona, he's got this character of an overachieving little brother that has low confidence, but is actually really skillful. Like that anime main character in the first episode, who doesn't know they've got super powers.
Please make more videos like this! It's amazing to see an experienced player such as yourself sharing your wisdom! I would love to see some amateur players reaction since that's the level that I am at :)
Timo, I’m truly grateful for the insight on your analysis of this set. This is one of the first times I’ve been able to see how a top level player processes this kind of info. Could you please do a follow up as how you would play against certain players (even if you don’t give much away ;) )? Thanks, keep up the amazing work!
Thank you Timo. Great to see analyzing videos from you. One thing that could vary helpful to add is your perspective as a coach, like if you were Lee sangsu's coach in the game, what would be your recommendation/correction to him? Thanks👍
Timo, made a point about Lee Sangsu's game. he said Lee had too many possibilities in his head. As players we often find ourselves in such situations, which usually leads to unforced errors. The solution is to play the game before you get to the table, which requires of you to have studied the game of your opponent.
Thanks Timo for this video. A great start for, we all hope among many to come. Would suggest to reduce the volume of the match, so we can focus on your analysis. Also, maybe you can provide tips on application / execution of techniques and tactics during play that can also be applied even on an amateur, leisure level. Danke Timo!
I think table tennis is depending on the brain more than the bode strengths so... Yes, this type of videos can help us improving our focusing and thinking in the game and knowing the opponent and use his weaknesses. Thanks for the very informative video Timo. I just had two suggestions, not sure if others agree: 1. Your microphone volume compared to the game volume at times was a little hard to hear. 2. Maybe when a player makes a "mistake" or perhaps a shot that was too predictable (easily returned by opponent), you could point this out and give us your suggestion on what may have been a better shot/placement.
It's very nice to see you jumping into the world of content creators :D I would be very happy to see you focus on some highlights in a match: chose a few points and comment them, and add some drawings or sketches to illustrate your analysis. I know it's a lot of work though :)
Great analysis, in the future please analyse your own matches, I think it would be even more interesting cause you will be able to tell us what you felt in that moment and what were your tactics. Keep up with the good work, lots of love
Cooles Video!
Maybe in your analysis you can watch the match fully first(which you did) and then make some notes about each player or some thoughts? And then(the most important part) you can show us some points in the match illustrating what their strengths or weaknesses in that match you saw. Also maybe you could show us how you look at the match or how you break it down?
