  • Step-by-step guide on how to delete Tire Pressure Monitor System Light (TPMS light) on second generation GMC Terrain SUV. Typically this process has to be done when TPMS light is ON on the dashboard and tire pressure is good in all tires, when you get Tire Monitor System message displayed or after replacing TPMS sensors or doing tire changeover ( 2018 | 2019 | 2020 | 2021 | 2022 | 2023 | 2024 | SLE | SLT | DENALI | 1.5L | 2.0L ).
To start relearning the tire sensors first you will have to start tire learn mode. To do that use menu buttons on the right side of the steering wheel. Scroll through the menu options until you reach tire pressure and then press and hold the Checkmark button. You will get a message displayed Tire Learning Active.
Now proceed outside with your TPMS scan tool and start programming the sensors in the following order (front left, front right, rear right, rear left). After each sensor is programmed horn will sound. After the fourth sensor is programmed horn will beep twice and that means the programming is done.
In case you don't have a TPMS tool you can try releasing the air from each tire while programming, but that only works sometimes or it only works on 1 - 2 tires. Usually you will need a scanner.
TPMS tool can be rented from most of the mechanical shops / tire shops or you can buy a cheaper one online and then you can use it whenever you need on multiple vehicles.
    Thanks for watching.
