hey, I play with quickcast AND with quickcast with indicators for the majority of my time playing league. I always played quickcast with indicators for the first like 5 years of playing league, only turning it off when the champ literally didn't need/have range to care about. Now, like 10 yr later, I NEVER play with indicators except for learning new champs/refreshing ranges on champs i havent played in a while. So, I have a lot of experience playing with both regular quickcast and with indicators, and therefore i can confidently say that onzed does NOT play with quickcast with indicators. when you have QCWI (quick cast with indicators) every time you use a spell the indicator will pop up even if you only tap the button, so you will see the indicators every time he uses an ability, essentially there is no way to confuse it being on/off. he likely uses quickcast exclusively and has a secondary binding for normal cast or QCWI on like shift-cntrl-Q or something for the rare occasion he wants to reference the indicator to know for sure max distance. this is a normal thing and most players do it that way, regular quick cast for 99% of the time and a secondary hotkey for indicators when they really need max max range. however, if you are the type of player ( like me, we are rare if you are like me ) who likes QCWI, i reccomend u always play it this way until/unless you no longer need/want to play with them. for me, i ALWAYS played QCWI for years and still do now rarely for learning, but prefer regular quick cast now due to so much experience and muscle memory knowing the ranges. most players do not like QCWI, but i always liked it and it helped me grow greatly as a player. if you are new to the game or to learning zed, it will help u a lot to play quickcast with indicators to learn the ranges and how zed's Q aims from all his shadows at the same time. if you have your W and your ult shadow out, you will see 3 indicators when u hold Q and it looks cool lol. the only downside to QCWI is that there is a split second lag when u use a skill compared to regular quickcast, because your finger has to spend the extra time letting go of the button compared to regular quickcast which casts as soon as u press down, not having to wait for u to release. it is due to this 'clunkiness/lag/delay' that most ppl hate QCWI and never use it and is also why u can always tell the player is using it because it shows the indicators on the screen in the split moment hte finger hasn't released the key i was saying earlier. if you play a lot of QCWI u will be able to feel how much 'faster' ur abilities cast when u go to regular quickcast, and why i don't use it anymore unless for learning. however, the 'time cost' downside of playing with CQWI is not important at all compared to how much easier/faster it is to learn with them on. it is for this reason, i recommend every1 plays with CQWI until they feel comfortable without it/dont need it anymore. when u don't need it anymore, the 'time cost' downside becomes a much worse issue since u aren't getting more value from already knowing/mastering the abilities/ranges etc. hope this helps!
@@StoneDeceiver thanks alot for the info. im gonna switch to quick cast without indicators cuz im pretty confident with the range of abilities and such and it only takes up more time to cast the spell and ive noticed that that split second actually counts. (one good example is Qing right after Ring).

I was worried that I didn't explain the value opportunity cost idea properly; that the cast delay time value cost is worth paying for what indicators give you only in as much as you need the reference in learning. So, I am glad that you seem to understand what I was thinking, to find the value of the cast time to be way too high in the same way that I did after using indicators to learn. One thing that I struggled with when going to QC from QCWI was losing the ability to bring up the indicator (for example by pressing and holding Q) and canceling it without actually intending to use the spell. So, I would press the button and unexpectedly cast the spell immediately 🤣. If you want the best of both worlds, as most high-elo players do, you can open the options and edit the hotkey section to have QCWI/normal cast on shift-Q for example, I forget if I mentioned this originally or not. Hope this helps!
