Another old guy here (37 years old). Really enjoying your channel! Wish content like this existed in the 90’s when we had to slow down vhs tapes and read tricks tips in magazines just to figure out a single trick. In a way I’m running an experiment now to see if I can actually learn from this vast skate-information overload, even at my age. Been focusing mostly on flatground and just trying to get my old bag of tricks back. Had some luck so far but would definitely appreciate a video on bs flips if you don’t already have one. Thanks a lot!
This is just what I needed to see/hear. Struggling with basic flatground trick progress and consistency, and subsequently feeling like a massive failure as not making the progression at the speed I want to (FYI: I'm a 46 yo & started skating at 41). It's difficult with only 1-2 sessions per week and only enough energy for 90mins-2hrs per session. I'll be using your ideas during my future sessions and being a little less of a downer on myself. Thanks again.
Very impressive that you are learning in your 40s. Flat ground tricks and flip tricks are just a mind game. I enjoy them because they are hard to learn and although it does happen, you don't get hurt often learning them. Keep learning. I support you 100%
I feel you bud. I started skating again at 38 after not skating since I was 14. I didn’t skate much last year because of covid. And haven’t had much time to skate this year because of the heat. (Excuses). My longest sessions have been about an hour each, 3 times a week. I’ve given in to the fact that I likely won’t land my dream trick (inward heel) but I just love cruising the ramps at the park, and then working on a bit of flat ground until my calves cramp up. Keep at it. Any new manoeuvre you do, even if it’s simple and stupid, is progress!
Hey brother! I loved this chanel from the first time I saw it and I hope it grows a lot more. You deserve it I like the way you show us how to get a new trick and now how you put it into practice. Tnx bro and see you next time Nice Inward heel! Saludos desde Mexico 🇲🇽🌮
I'm a beginner and I'm currently trying to get FS 180s down, and have been for a little while now. I've had some that feel nice, but today I just wasn't getting it. Your points about not training muscle memory incorrectly, only using energy to give full-on proper attempts, and have breaks is spot on; as I, probably like a lot of people, have the mindset that if you keep practising it will come together, which is true, but you have to practise *right* (so like you said: switch something up if it isn't working or have a little break)! Like others who have commented said: it was just what I needed to watch and learn today. New to your videos and loving them. Thanks for sharing.
Wow what a great comment. I'm glad it helped! A lot of what I said in the video are things I go through all of the time and things I tell myself. Its always a struggle learning a new trick but that is what makes landing so satisfying. 🙂
Thank you for this video! I am in my mid 30s getting back into skating with my 5 year old son. It’s been awesome skating again but frustrating trying to re-learn simple tricks. Love your videos and tips. It’s also cool to see your process of learning a new trick. Taking my kid to the skate park tomorrow and will be showing him this video prior .
Love this comment. I personally took at least 5 years off from skating... Its difficult getting back into it but well worth it. Awesome that you are skating with your son. Thank you for your support as well.
This video made me subscribe to your channel :-) It shows how stubborn you need to be to learn a trick, and yes it's going to be hard, but you can look back at it with a smile after you land the trick ;-) Thanks a bunch for the video man!
Honestly bro I think your channel might be better than Braille, they just do skate videos, you are actually trying to learn more tricks like us, we a skate family 💯
People who are beginning or never make it past the beginning phase of skating live in this phase and it’s really hard to me to decide if it’s my commitment issues keeping me from getting better or just my brain
I recently lessened them. I find doing tricks easier with looser truck but landing them easier with tighter trucks. I also have a bad habbit of leaving my board in the car so I thing my bushings are melting. 😅

Thanks for the great comment! I'm glad the video helped you. Are there many skate parks in Mexico?
By far my favorite skate channel
Wow! thank you. Much more on the way. 😀

Brilliant idea for a video, gives lots of confidence! Nice to see the polished article, but even better to see the 'behind the scenes'!

Really glad you enjoyed it. You do have to be stubborn, It's true.
Love this channel i get motivation to keep skating even tho its hard
Glad the video is motivating. Really looking to help people get better at skating.
This defs makes me feel better about my inability to shove it haha. Nice tips. Also loving your sound effects
That's what I was hoping for. Learning tricks is hard and annoying at times. We all go through it haha. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Yes man, I was hoping every attempt you are going to land it. Keep the new tricks coming even if it’s not an easy process.
Glad you enjoyed it. This is still one of my least favorite tricks but I am trying to land one every day. Hope I can help other people land it too.
Dude this video helped so much you really put a lot into perspective. As someone who wants to make skating my life thank you
I love the tutorials and breakdowns! Keep it up, man! I'd like to see more. Here are a few of my wants: Noseslides, 50-50s and 180s. Thank you!
I'm working on a frontside 180 video now along with a few others. Thanks for watching.
Love this! Nice to see the process and all the work that goes into landing a trick for the first time
You know how it goes. Love watching your progress too.
really have a sick channel dude! you obviously love skating and making these videos pls dont stop doing either!
These videos are a lot of fun to make. I appreciate the kind words. Many more on the way.
Awesome bro! Hard work pays off! Thanks for taking us through your process.! Always killer content my dude!

Yea, It takes some patience. Always worth it though
Loved this. Would love to see more of this 🤙🏻🙏🏻
I will do more videos like this. 😀
Nice one man really showing practice and patience is key👌
It is true. Thought it would be good to show you I struggle to learn tricks too. Thanks for watching.
Yeah videos are dope! Keep making them fam
Nice videos! Keep doing.
What adidas model shoes you reccomend? I'm looking for a lighter shoes from them.
Thank you!
Awesome video man!!
Thank you. I hope it helped you out!
love ur vids 🔥 good job! :)
Dude love your breakdown videos! Please breakdown how to power slide ! I’ve ate shit too many times trying to learn with speed going downhill 😂
That is on my list. Powerslides will more than likely be in a video with a few other tricks. I'm working on a video!
@@Skiddyskates oh sweeeet!! Im looking forward to it brotha 👌🏻
Great Vid! Looking forward to more!
Thank you for the support! loving making videos.
Honestly bro I think your channel might be better than Braille, they just do skate videos, you are actually trying to learn more tricks like us, we a skate family 💯
That's a great complement. I cant compete with braille though haha. I'm just doing my own thing. 😀
I don't feel so bad about the rough ass ground I usually skate on! I like the attempt meter! 🛹
I'm not sure why I chose to do this on that rough ground but it worked... So I can't complain.
Thx u gave me confidence
I'm glad it helped. Thank you for the support.
What board is that? I like the graphic :)
That is actually just a local shop board. It is a cool graphic though.
@@Skiddyskates oh rlly what skateshop is it? I want the board the graphic is sick 🔥🤟🏼
It’s a shop called “BC Surf and Sport” 🙂
Nice🤙
Thanks for supporting the channel!
good video, don't stop)))
I appreciate the support. I’ll have to go for a hard trick soon.
may i know what you using recoding this 😁

Thanks for the support. Something a little different.
How long have you been skateboarding?
I want to learn this trick now.
It is a hard one. Ill do a video for inward heelflips soon.
MORE!
Thanks for watching! I'm going to be making another video like this for laser flips. For some reason I really struggle with that trick.
Do you like your trucks loos or tight mine are medium but closer to loos
I recently lessened them. I find doing tricks easier with looser truck but landing them easier with tighter trucks. I also have a bad habbit of leaving my board in the car so I thing my bushings are melting. 😅
I landed my first moving Ollie 180 today
Trustar Digital frontside?
Think so
+Trustar Digital well done!
I need tips on finding empty parking lots like this near my house LOL
"Learning how to skateboard it's like taming a horse"
- Me 2021
That is an interesting perspective
This video: "stop and do some tricks you're good at"
Me: 🤔
*Only practice makes a skateboarder.*
That's a fact.
As complicated as a golf swing? Oh look he sliced. Daring isn't it?
Anyway, great tips. Doing half attempts is what I'm guilty of.
It’s crazy watching people who crouch so low to pop. I cant get myself to stay balanced that low.
I'm not sure why I do that. I'm just used to it from street skating I guess. Thanks for watching!
Didnt know 2000s axl rose did skateboarding
That made me laugh 😆
what tips do you give to a fat guy learning to skate
Softer (99a) wheels, bushings, insoles, high quality deck, and ideally lose weight. Street skating with excess weight will do your knees in.
@@minituremarvels ok thx for the advice
I leave my board cause Ollie is not working gonna try hard thanks
Let me know when you land it.
