I’ve had the Chase Sapphire/Freedom combo for years. Yes, you can decent rewards points, BUT it really limits what hotels, airlines, rental cars, etc when it comes time to purchase. Also, the ability to cancel or change reservations is a major pain. Using a cash back card is the way to go. You’re not limited.
Chase travel portal is wide open for me; just major savings if you book a Hyatt (which we do 80% of the time) I’m also able to cancel and change stuff super easy - just like using Expedia or whatever. You can always dump your points as cash back too - just worth way more as points.
Really enjoyed your video. Will definitely look up so gear. Could not agree more on the Merino cloths. The one disagreement I have is your selection of pants. I suppose it depends on type of travel. Resort and cruises, sure. But backpacking they would not be my choice. I am a big fan of quick dry pants with zippers on all pockets. Riding on busy, planes and taxis crap falls out of unzipped pockets. I have traveled as a backpacker for about the last 40 years and learned a long time ago zippers are my friends. If it’s cool just add some light Merino bottoms and you are good to go. To each their own but enjoyed 100% of the rest. Great job.
I'm definitely a very committed ANDROID USER. It's not changing anytime soon. Just got the Fold 5! Its awsome. Can you please do some things for Android!? Thank you so much. Love these. I always learn I need more stuff
The expanding towels have another amazing function. Cooling down in the trail. Just came back from Zion and Bryce Canyon where it was nearly 90 degrees at times on our hikes. You put a tiny bit of water on those and you have a cooling cloth. Boy was it refreshing and you can use them over and over again by adding a tiny bit of water. Loved them so much, and I got the Wyrick version, that we got them in three different sizes.
Yeah, it’s a bummer is iOS only for now, but it’s pretty tightly integrated with Apple’s unique APIs, which is great if you’re an iPhone person. Maybe Android one day!
My favourite pants, for travel and everything are the Livsn Flex Canvas pants. I'm sure these other options are great, but it'd be hard to convert me away from Livsn. These things are bombproof and I go nowhere without them.
I’ve heard that the motion system watch works because the person that used it work flying in a plane looking at the ground as Air Attack for Wildland fires. So they fly around, and around in circles looking at the ground.
What are you on about. That's pretty reasonable for merino. Cheap merino that starts getting holes after a couple of washes, sure, you can do that, but I've worn the same merino t-shirt camping for a week at a time and it doesn't smell funky at the end and doesn't get holes. I've been traveling now for 2 years straight with my wife and I started with 2 merino t-shirts, got my first hole in one last week from a dog jumping on me and I do laundry about once a week or less. $88 is cheap for that kind of performance.
@BradyPatterson what cheap crap lol I just don't buy 88$ shirts. Idc if it's merino or whatever. I'm happy that you can travel for 2 years straight and do your laundry once a week.
What _gear, gadgets, clothes, and hacks_ have made the biggest difference on your trips? Let me know!
USB-C rechargeable batteries, now I've seen everything!
I know,and I want them now, too!

Great tips and great feedback.
Definitely would recommend Sea-Band for nausea. Very affordable and non-invasive non-medicated.
I need to have my wife try one
Lee extreme comfort chino’s cargo shorts and cargo pants, you’re welcome
Most useful travel vid I’ve come across!
Thanks a ton!

Android has had Bluetooth trackers for a long time.

Wow, that’s a really interesting use case I’ve never heard anyone talk about
Doesn’t the Airtag have a lithium battery? Forbidden in checked luggage!
The FAA doesn’t care since the batteries are so tiny
I want the flighty app, but sadly i am a commited android user.

Me too. I'm not getting Apple ever. Yuk! I just can't. 🤔
This is a great list and I’ll definitely be checking out and ordering some tshirts!
Be aware that you might get pulled out of line at the airport if you're wearing the T-shirt with metal in the weave.

Interesting! That’s one I haven’t heard of… I’ll check them out.

Is this page geared towards billionaires??
Seriously ?
88$ for a shirt? Gtfo
Those merino options aren’t cheap, but they’re crazy popular in the travel space

I don't care about the material. I care that it's 88 dollars.
@@musicdeaf so you like cheap crap that falls apart fast. I guess it takes all sorts.
