No one is speaking about the obvious correlation between Jackson and the corruption of the local government level politics and the misappropriation of funds. Misappropriation doesn’t mean theft. It’s not an issue of funding for this area or funding for that area…it’s the fact that the local level government or political factions have no interest in growing these poverty zones. Much like democrat-ran cities up north, Jackson is a representation of their political leaders. Deion Sanders…and Ed Reed spoke to these factions the best as HBCU head coaches…the corruption within these communities, smh. Conservative policies could change and fix these areas, but as soon as it starts…people will scream, “gentrification’ or some other bs term that is anti-growth. Because ANY growth or restoration revolves around profit oriented policies….not hand-outs.
Yeah I'm from Durant, MS/ Holmes county area. One of if not the most impoverished county in MS. The town got around 1 million to remodel the historic train station her husband got the contract they barley even redone the windows probably spent less than 10,000 on it but the following months the mayor and her husband had a Corvette and new Hummer 🧐🤔 I really wish I had the connections and money to have them investigated

As a white man, born and raised in Mississippi (Pearl), and having lived in the Jackson area the majority of my life. I’d love to talk to you about my experiences. I am someone who grew up in a decent area, with a good upbringing, but surrounded by a lifetime of the most mixed culture anyone could imagine. I created an account for the sole reason of writing this message, because I believe that I come from a much more diverse culture/society than is predominately portrayed by many in videos. I’d love for you to be able to speak about the generation who didn’t see that divide, and who has lived with many of their closest friends being of the opposite race, class, etc. I know that you’ve spent your fair share of time and videos focusing on Mississippi, but I am (documented) a 6th generation of this area, and my family has a lot of history here, including a large hand in the old “Gold Coast”, which is now Pearl (preciously East Jackson) which people like Johnny Cash wrote songs about. I don’t care about being on camera, but would just love to speak with you because I do believe you are interested in learning and knowing what the true dynamics are in certain areas. I appreciate your hard work and the videos you produce, but I’d love to give you a perspective from someone who has lived a very diverse lifestyle in the state of Jackson area of Mississippi. Best of luck!
I have a question, are these people discouraged or blocked from getting jobs from the more established society? Perhaps nepotism, or do they not just apply for blue collar and white collar jobs?

Maybe have a read on (child) developmental psychology. The first few years are vital in terms of forming secure attachment, trust, even emotional regulation and a plethora of other vital skills. Lacking support in your younger years has a lasting effect. You can't just magically turn around a neglected 16yo that lacks a basic neurological - social - psychological framework.

You're killing it. Thanks for getting this content out! The most important thing to highlight is they all say, "my mama..." meaning they didn't grow up with a father. This is the most important thing in the black community. They don't grow up with a good standup father figure which leads to a loss of sense of self or self integrity because it wasn't instilled by their fathers so they go looking for that in the streets. Another thing is when you grow up with no resources or access to better things, then you only know what about what you got. Notice how every single person thinks they’re the baddest, they’re the one that’s different, they’re the one that’s been through the most, blah blah blah. It’s always the same bs when you put a camera on people like this. Nothing but boasting about how bad things are for them and people around them while being oblivious to the fact that in most cases they are the cause and *THEY ARE THEIR OWN WORST ENEMY.*
Rinse & repeat. It’s not racism. It’s not poverty. It’s stupid people doing stupid bs and making excuses for it - period.
This is FAR too logical for most of this comment section. It's much easier to be degenerates, say they had no choice, and then blame YOU for their situation 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. You also don't have to build anything or contribute to modern society when you can say, "We built everything and it was stolen from us" because it's the victim mentality. It will NEVER change for them.
I’m from west Jackson Mississippi and I can tell you it’s rough I just moved to Gulfport ms just to get away from the killings me and brother was shot multiple times I’m blessed to be out of Jackson Mississippi
Sick shyt.
Now they created the "white district"

Yeah I'm from Durant, MS/ Holmes county area. One of if not the most impoverished county in MS. The town got around 1 million to remodel the historic train station her husband got the contract they barley even redone the windows probably spent less than 10,000 on it but the following months the mayor and her husband had a Corvette and new Hummer 🧐🤔 I really wish I had the connections and money to have them investigated

Lost black brothers
As a young mom born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi I really wanna know when did we become our own enemy???
It’s what the government want, dey want us to look at each other as enemies instead of us coming together
@@jaliciialake6189 I think some psychological traumas been imbedded in us since slavery but i would say in the present sense, fatherless homes and the destruction of the Black nuclear family is biggest problem in our communities.
What is an opposite race
@@clayman117 Which race is it okay to hate in public and nobody will do anything about it?
If he's white (like he said he is) it just means Black people. Opposite of white is black it's not that deep
Create and post this yourself, it would be watched
I have a question, are these people discouraged or blocked from getting jobs from the more established society? Perhaps nepotism, or do they not just apply for blue collar and white collar jobs?
I love to learn new cultures and I love the video quality.
That’s some real life you got to experience in that city .
I’m from Africa Ghana though .❤
whats even sadder is that a well meaning black man could not go into this area and make this kind of content, you would instantly be a target. kuddos to you for going into the trenches
That part. What happens when a brotha from out of town wants to invest or create a business he’d get ran off the block.
Part of me feels bad for these dudes because they really didn’t stand a chance and part of me says you’re a man now take responsibility and do something different….stop the cycle
That’s how they want you to think it’s all psychological to prove to the civilians that they’re “misunderstood “ grown ass men and comments like this is exactly why they continue to do the same shit over and over because everyone is so decentralized by the violence.
They think this interview is doing something different
grown ass men talking bout they have no choice....all I hear is complaining and putting other people at fault for they own wrong doings. when do they wake up and finally change
Most of them younger than 18. They’re kids.

Anyways, its always a pleasure watching your videos and if you wanna go somewhere really dangerous...two words... BALTIMORE, MARYLAND
