While it doesn't matter, I'm 65 and have listened to music intensely all my life. I find Billie to be literally the brightest spark of the last 30 years. Cannot wait to observe and listen to where she goes from here. I fell in love with her and her brother when listening to this EP. And even if I like some songs from the album, I kinda was dissapointed because I expected the sublime feel I always get with Don't Smile At Me.

Billie got severely depressed after a severe hip injury that curtailed her dance ambitions at age 13. She was taking 6 different dance classes and was performing with the 18 year olds. That's when Finneas began to produce her songs and gave her Ocean Eyes to record at age 13, for her dance teacher, who had asked for a piece to choreograph. Her family was very supportive but she became suicidal in 2018 while on tour. She only got better in early 2019.
