Speed work is a great way not only to improve your physical ability to swing the club faster, but measuring the speed of every effort really teaches you to extend and rotate to maximize acceleration.
This is a fantastic tutorial insofar that the primary takeaway gets back to Cameron’s initial observation of ball striking inconsistency. The head covers drill is something I will subscribe to in future sessions on the range. Thanks guys for sharing such a wonderful learning session!
This is something I struggle with on the practice range. My problem is that I have to reach out to get to the ball throwing out all of the energy I created in my downswing. Also most of the contact is mostly on the toe. So, I will be trying these tips in the future.
101 club head speed does not compute with 290 drive. They should have measured carry distance instead of total. That being said, it doesn’t change the fact that the drills are good. The main message makes sense, get good contact first then work on increasing the speed.
Cut down my driver and I have more consistency and speed. I think the shaft also loads much better. Just make sure to add more weight to the head. A highly customizable driver helps.
Fantastic! Really appreciate this. Only one thing: 101 club speed. 285 distance? Not so sure that’s even possible, unless there’s blacktop out there where the ball lands :-)
He's efficient. Also a $1000 driver. TSR2 with a Graphite Design AD-DI. 102swing with 154 ball speed = 1.51 smash. That's 0.1 off a perfect energy transfer.
We could all prob be more optimized but I’m pretty sure these guys were just giving total yardage, not carry…. and even then it was calculated total distance not actual.
@@yourbestgolf365 I think the high toe he referenced that the carry was 10 yards shorter but never said the number - just that it went 280. Would expect trackman to say it rolled out a ton to hit a long total but it’s not realistic given the fairways most of us play on. We need to talk carry numbers and decent angles to find a true optimized driver.
That high in the face is definitely not going to maximize ball spin. Itll help launch and spin but ball speed will suffer. For the first shots gotta be slightly lower than that. Just high of center
I have such a problem with not swinging through the ball completely, when i hit it good it goes 300 yards straight a fucc but 20% of shots are slices and the rest are 20 yard face, cant get the clubface square
Cameron is a fantastic teacher. We’d all be lucky to have him guide our swing improvements.

I've been setting up tees like this in my warm up and man it makes a difference .

Super air guitar at 8.20 😂. Quality info here, should help me alot
Superb content! Simple and easy to follow and not requiring any addition tools.
I love this! Thank you!
Great Lesson....Thanks
This was an awesome video. Great explanations and drills.
Oh man to be lucky enough to have a session with Cameron McCormick. I'd happily sign up for that!
Tom's got some serious game. Great video
Love that you can quickly see variables that are limiting impact location and speed.
Very clear information. Thank you.
Great tutorial
12:27-12:45 Wow, you can really hear that Texan come out. 😄😄😄
Im a professional,priceless gett-um McCormick
So Basically youll Hit a good Drive if u Hit in the middle and Hard

‘That’s not a happy pattern’ - story of my golf…
If you put foot spray on the club, will it make you hit either the heel or the toe? 🤔

100% club face is the most important thing
101 club speed on trackman is probably 106 in reality. 106*2.7 yards makes it possible to hit 290 yards with good launch and spin conditions
Cut down my driver and I have more consistency and speed. I think the shaft also loads much better. Just make sure to add more weight to the head. A highly customizable driver helps.
What app or device are you using to track the shot and speed?
Would it also help actually lifting his left heel off the floor. Seems very stiff when swinging

Come on every youtube golf guy carries it 300+ on the simulator but cant replicate it on the course.

Driver optimisation has been poor for me recently. Club speed 105-107, carry distance max is currently 240-255. Leaking speed and distance.
We could all prob be more optimized but I’m pretty sure these guys were just giving total yardage, not carry…. and even then it was calculated total distance not actual.
@@dwyzik For sure the person hitting was giving totals. I thinl Cam was giving carry on the first shot.

Yea 101 club speed 150 ball speed is only carrying like 250 and that’s 100% optimized launch and spin
@@TheBooze13 my spin rate is poor so perhaps that’s where I’m not optimised.
Isn’t he Jordan Speith’s swing coach? With Speith struggling for the last 6 years? How about fixing Jordy like Butch Harmon did for Rickie?

High on the face is definitely going to knock spin off.
Good Good?
