The English subjunctive is much easier / less used than in French! Thank you so much for including things acronyms such as WEIRDO. This a brilliant video that's helping me understand terms quickly, as I always feel this, and the past tenses in French are the hardest for me to understand. Merci infiniment
Another great lesson Dylane, to use a video game metaphor le subjonctif is the "Dark Souls" of French tenses but it seems a lot less scary now after your excellent explaination and examples.
Ah the wonderful subjunctive in French nicely explained by Dylane ! But don't forget we have the subjunctive in English (despite many claiming we dont) such as "It is necessary that you BE (not "are") here tomorrow" which is exactly what the french statement "Il faut que tu sois ici/là demain", also "Let the force BE (not "is") with you" the difference in English is that the verb goes back to the infinitve form (i.e. BE). Second point is to notice that there are two subjects in the phase. If there is only one subject like "I want to go to Paris" then the second verb will just be in the infinitive (Je veux aller à Paris) but "I want (that) you to go to Paris" (so I am doing the "wanting" and you are doing the "going" then we could have a subjunctive and in this case we do, after vouloir que) Je veux que tu ailles à Paris. Finally don't forget that in the statement "Il faut que", that "il" is the subject of falloir (faut)
Hi Teacher Dylane! You're the best in French teaching. But I'd like to tell that you should pronounce the plural s in English which is unlike in French. 🤩
Merci beaucoup Dylane 😻Il y a beaucoup de choses pour attendre de subjonctif.I was trying to say that there a lot of things to learn about subjonctive.
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane s'il vous plait. Vous pourriez faire un video qui s'agit comment utiliser ou dans quelles situations qu'on puisse utiliser "à", "de" ou "pour" ?? Hi Dylane , I'd like to know whether the QUE is in the Main clause or attached in the Subordinate clause ? is it 1 ) je veux que -- or 2) que ce probleme soit réglé . where does the QUE come ? Merci
great lesson prof! I have question regarding first sentence "je veux que ce problème soit réglé,", is this passe subjonctive? we have etre and PP. but the verb regler is not part of dr&mrsvandertramp. thank you so much

Le subjonctif est une grammaire difficile, c'est un fait certain. Cependant il faut que je l'apprenne afin d'être capable de parler le français couramment.
We can only use the present tense after "Je pense", but after "Je ne pense pas", it's always going to be the subjunctive. Because we are not sure, so that's a doubt :)

I am so glad it helps! If you want, I have another video about the subjunctive. It was posted in December I believe.
Quel prof sympathique et magnifique! 10/10 pour toutes tes leçons.
Merci beaucoup Brenda ☺️

Such a struggle for many French learners :D Thank you 😉
Thanks Dylane, your videos are so easy to follow and helpful
Merci :)
There`s such a mood in English , too. So the translation has to be I insist that she GET/ SHOULD GET a present, too.
Oh wow so much to take in! 🤯 but you explain it to well 🙏 I will definitely be rewatching this one! Is the subjonctif used often in spoken French?
The most used one is with Il faut que, so if there is one to master is this one. The rest you can take is slowly 😉
Bon apremidi Madame.
Yeah this one a long lesson. But you uses every second so nicely to describe everything.
Abientot.
Try to fit everything in a "short lesson" 😉
My favorite Teacher Miss Dylane ,
How are you...
😍😍😍love this video
I am doing great! How are you?
Thanks
Merci beaucoup Andrew ☺️
Un grand merci, Dylane!

So you mean verbs like croire penser and avoid are mostly used in the indicative and subjunctive. Tell me about the subjunctive and indicative
vous savez que vous enseignez de manière très intéressante et très util.
merci dylane
Merci beaucoup Zaki
Je dois revoir cette leçon et même la précédente. Dylane, you dail it in!
C'est le dernier point difficile du cours 😉
The minister recommends that the vaccines BE DISTRIBUTED as soon as possible. > That`s the correct translation in English using Subjunctive Mood.
More details on the subjunctive in another video would be great - Yes!
I will :)
can you make another video about the subjonctif please i didn't quite understand it
I have a great video coming up with a textbook but that will take a little bit :/

This is not the negation but there "ne explétif" :)
tu m'aide à tomber en amour avec la langue française! merci à toi et à dieu de te nous donner. :P
Pas de quoi Dumi 🤩
Hi dylane, Do you have a video on differentiating between subjontif vs indicatif?
It would help alot
Thanks !!
I don't have a video that compare the both no :/
Merci beaucoup madame 🌹🌷🌺
De rien :)
10:07 Madame, Shouldn't 'Il est' refer to 'He is' ? As Il means He, so why 'It' is used?
Because in this case it's an impersonal expression :)
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane So, does Il means It , in impersonal expression always?

Sometimes verbs act as adjectives, just like in English "To be solved". Same thing in French :)
A difficult lesson ever 😅
That was easier than I expected.
I am so glad 😃
Thank u for the class

I find this difficult to digest. “Use subjuctive for wishes but not when you use espère to express hope. Because that is an exception “ i am confused
Try to remember the ones you use in your own language. That will be easier :)

I definitely did
You look stunning in white . N your is lovely 😍

hello dylane ! why can't we say " Je ne pense pas qu'il a du talen"? it's so confusing
We can only use the present tense after "Je pense", but after "Je ne pense pas", it's always going to be the subjunctive. Because we are not sure, so that's a doubt :)
