nice. Just curious, have you been able to quantify your "Gains" from running the MSD? I have a petronix and coil sitting on the shelf, and im tempted to add an MSD...

I noticed mainly in the torque and response. I have two rovers both with MSD ignitions and Mid to low end cams.
The MSD gave me a greater range of RPM's aka I can get on the highway more easily and put my foot to the foor knowing the rover can take it. Running log distance highway driving the MSD gave me another 2MPG ish and around town about 14 to 15 MPG "depending on aggressiveness "
      1. Better performance
      2. Better MPG
      3. Cold Starts Strong
      4. Able to handle my unforgiving driving
      5. able to run a "colder" spark plug aka Bosch Platinum "higher insulation on electrode" Stock system wasn't strong enough.
I'll make another clip of some of the good stuff.

+RRClassicman awesome. I have been low key copying your set up in my 95. mine has 33" tires and a lift. it's gutless at best on the highway. I am swapping the t-case to an lt230 with a 1.4 ratio in hopes to improve. perhaps an msd after...

Awesome, I need to get some larger tires and lockers... My suggestion is to give the MSD a Shot with the Lucas Dizzy. Ive been toying with the idea of installing a Mallory or MSD Dizzy but I'll loose the "get out o the woods" factor.

Hello there I would like to ask if you did put another ballast resistor when you installed the MSD system?

No. I added the MSD system to the LR working with the existing Lucas distributor in the event the MSD system Fails i can always plug the stock system back in.

RRClassicman Do you think the 6AL will act better because of that rev limiter chip you can control, or the 6A is good enough because it only can handle up to 3000 revs?

I originally ordered a 6AL, Jeggs shipped me a 6A. I was impatient and kept the 6A. I can get my engine to 4800 rps with 100% true straight pipe exhaust. Sofar no problems with the MSD system and I've had it running for a few years now. the only thing that would be cool for the rev limiter would be an extra added security so you could set the REV to 0 not letting the engine even run.... or if you had kids who like to drive fast...

just wondering..... when will you install RoverGauge github.com/colinbourassa/rovergauge
did mine about a year ago and works great - total cost including low end windows10 tablet (11.6 insignia) made my own cable about $100.00
