Timelapse geo dome greenhouse build

Building the gd27 timber framed geodesic dome:
This is a stop frame animation of the dome build which took about 6 hours, all the polythene covering was done before arriving on site. The dome will be used to grow ingredients for the thoughtful bread company, a local organic bakery.

Pay close attention at 1:13 the entire dome is kicked over to the left to take shape for the last piece. Important little trick to remember when building a dome without an already laid out base.

Two questions please Tony. If your base is fixed to the ground I take it one shouldnt have this problem of needing to kick out the base. All should fit.

Second Question, how high can i make the base. Would like inside bed to be 80cm.

Why didn't you tamp the ground with gravel and flatten out some ready-mix concrete or cinder blocks? It's sitting on dirt?
Looks good for now, but could last years with the right foundation...
