I still get depressed in the comics when my favorite autobot sacrificed his life to save his friends, optimus prime and the mighty morphin megazord by using the allspark to defeat unicron and to protect the space colonies.
I mean we did get to see the climatic battle where unicron reveals his destory mode and went batshit crazy and managed to destroy both his left arm and head

Honestly, I'd be slightly concerned if they did give the 1/1 a beam rifle.
seeing that gundam wobble as he shook it around gave me anxiety.
I can not express my disappointment in the fact that it doesn't have individually jointed fingers so I can make it flip off.

avoid the real grade. Only get it if you want to substantially tighten up the inner frame and recreate the battle with the RG Zeong.
My hg rx-78-2 is the hg gunpla starter set vol.2
@@_MARC0_40 That's a good one, but not as good as the revive because you get a white beam saber, but at least you get the Mace and a free gundam marker.
MG The Origin and 3.0 are both fantastic, some days I prefer one of them over the other, but I can't decide which one is definitely the best.
What's wrong with the RG? Been thinking of getting it to match the Zeong.

I got this when I visited the Gundam Factory in Yokohama during my trip to Japan a couple of weeks ago. It's my first Gunpla kit and I'm having a real good time building it so far! I am experienced in modelling since many years back, Warhammer and stuff like that, but this is a new and exciting experience. I am enjoying it a lot so far, and I'm already planning my next purchases :D
I really want the Rx 78 F00 Gundam because it looks so cool.
Also it will be fun to panel line.

@mecha gaikotsu, where did you get your spinning platfomr? Those are great pieces to display some kits especially if they do turn that way. How is it powered?
I have to say, I REALLY wanted to see how this kit would look like with the stickers.
Where did you get the buildings and props in the background? I really want to build a mini diorama with them and my current and future gunpla.
I wouldn't say that the plastic is brittle but more like the process of panel lining it made it brittle. Paint types and plastic types and easily affect the results of a model kit you were trying to detail. I'm plastics and paints do not agree with each other and can result in the plastic becoming weaker which is most likely what happened here with an already delicate and thin part that in my honest opinion had no business having a panel line in the first place but you know Bandai XD
When it comes to delicate parts like that I would say use an artist pen or a pencil to panel line it if you don't plan on painting or doing any protective coats on the model kit beforehand.
I just built one. I was disappointed that the chest didn't come in the same color as it does on the box. In order to get that light blue trim on the chest, you'll have to paint it yourself.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but I don't think the transformer in yokohama is 1/1 scale. I remember hearing somewhere that they downscaled it slightly.

a lot of people complain that this version of the grandpapa is too busy with the lines, but yall gotta understand, mchines built for battle at this scale are, believe it or not, expensive, and repairing even a small bit of damage could be extremely costly. so you gotta be able to have the armor segmented in a way where small amounts can be stripped and replaced without ruining the structural integrity, that's even why real grades are multi-toned, to simulate older plates of armor and newer ones layered around each other.
to break immersion for a moment, imagine how heavy and difficult it would be to manufacture, transport, paint, and mount one plate of armor to Yokohama if it were to speck with the MG 3.0, which is already a highly color separated kit.
