I've always had the impression that Touhou 10 heavily contributed to the popularity of the series back in the day... especially in Japan. One of the first things I ever saw regarding Touhou was "Kero ⑨ destiny" lol
Ahh this brings back memories. MoF was my first touhou game, i remember finally reaching stage 5 after many annoying deaths on stage 4. When I started stage 5, the only thought on my mind was the dread of fighting the moriya shrine maiden, as I knew how powerful Touhou characters could be. When I eventually managed to reach the boss fight, I was overwhelmed by bullets and destroyed in an instant. I decided to try stage 5 again. And again. And again. After many days of grinding, I eventually beat Sanae. I was amazed that I was able to defeat the Moriya shrine maiden and was extremely happy. I then began to practice it until I got consistent at it, and before I knew it, I was beating her on normal without losing any lives, which I was extremely proud of. Despite being so focused on beating Sanae, I couldn’t help but appreciate the music. Every time I heard her theme, I felt really weird… it was a feeling I didn’t know, but I loved. Futhermore, the more I fought Sanae, the more I began to love the music. It made the fight so much more intense and beautiful. I will never forget my MoF stage 5 experience, it was incredible. Therefore, this theme will always hold a special place in my heart. Also great cover as always :)

Awesome performance. I've always loved the part at 2:33: it's like the acumulation of all sorts of emotions is coming out in a burst of strong, yet beautifully sad notes.

Interesting, for me it's literally the opposite lol I don't have a problem with the stage itself (I actually like fighting Momiji) Aya still gives me trouble on Lunatic, even after many clears lol
