Thanks for all the great and thorough demos. I really like the sound reproduction and the dynamic playing always helps showcase the pedal better than just twanging away like some of the harsher demos out there.
Can you say "melodic"? Beauty full and lush playing as always. What a great day and age we live in these days where I can sit on my couch and watch these demos whilst enjoying my coffee!
For a clean boost, this is an amazing pedal. The sound is crystal clear & takes on a whole new character when the pedal is engaged. Couldn't live without it on my pedalboard.
I have been using one of these as my 'secret weapon' for about 3 years ... it is PART of my tonal pallet ... LOVE it! Mike, fantastic playing! How funny it is that you can actually need to have an 8 minute video for a pedal with 1 knob and a couple DIP switches :)
oh, believe me, I was in no way knocking your video!!! I love the fact that you just keep coaxing different sounds from whatever you are doing a demo on! It should serve as a guide for many people that the answer may not be in a new smash box, rather it could well be found within tweaking what you already have!!!! :)
Mike, your playing as always is outstanding, the improvisation that you do on these pedal demos is just a marvelous thing to listen to. I find myself looking to see what pedals you have used. You always sound better than I can get in any of them, apparently some voodoo. I enjoy the Prymaxe stuff so much. Tell these cats to step up and offer 3-4 no qual payments like others so I can shop more with them. Hope you are getting the proper bucks for your efforts this is great stuff.
voodoo lab sparkle drive mod......lead setting one, gain 9.30,tone 11.30,clean 1.45,volume. 9.20. sounds about the same. Plus, you get a ts808 thrown in, a rhythm and a high gain as well. Oh, its a clean boost as well and you can mix the clean with any of the effects settings as you wish. Does sound fizzy on higher gain settings, that might be my cheap power supply tho whose days are numbered.
Hi, do you think an ep booster could work well as a volume booster in the send/return of an amp on distorted channel? I have a Jet city head, and i would like to have something to boost solos in volume, but not necessarily in gain. Thanx!
that's a good idea, I have twin master volume amp, mesa single rec, and this function's very handy when your mixing your own band live and can't rid the fader of the desk for a solo.
Have you tried the Echoplex pedal? Are you allowed to comment on that?? This pedal sounds really good but I am wondering if you've had the opportunity to x-compare. Also, how does pedal work with other effects in the chain -- particularly fuzz and OD?
Mike, does the v2 no longer have the bass boost switch?? I want to get a second one for my board but only if it has the bass boost. I heard they switched the bass for a unity gain switch. Is that true? Why would they do that? Im confusededed. Thanks.
Two of the most essential pedals that should go on any board no matter the styles of playing are the Xotic EP booster and the Pigtronix micro Philosopher's Tone. They will do more to improve your guitar tone than anything and will further enhance anything else you use or get in the future. The notion they are not a lot of bucks for both is an outstanding bargain. Add to that the small new BBE sonic maximizer and you have 3 small footprint pedals that are simply game changers for tone. This little pedal is a tone improver you have to hear to believe. Set the internals dwn for vintage real EP 3 preamp high end roll off put it after your ODs. I'll bet like me you never shut it off. Check out Hermans demo of the micro Philosopher's Tone, a jewel of an optical compressor circuit, noiseless, internal 18v, amazing quality pedals.
basura A while ago I ordered some Mooer pedals from China, it took a few weeks but they didn't charge any shipping, it was checked by the customs office but I didn't have to pay any customs and with some kind of discount code I just paid half the price, €105 for 3 pedals total.
Laus Bigum Well, it was MarcMart but I'm afraid they only have 3 Mooer products left in their line and the discount code (I found it on some Guitarist forums back then) wouldn't work anymore I guess. I think the cheapest Mooer pedals are around €70 now and I wouldn't pay that.
7:00-7:12 is probably one of the best examples of the dramatic change in volume/tone between clean and effected signal. what a difference!
Thanks for all the great and thorough demos. I really like the sound reproduction and the dynamic playing always helps showcase the pedal better than just twanging away like some of the harsher demos out there.
Best demo of this pedal on youtube !

Thanks. Probably could have done the walk through section in 20 seconds, but what's the fun in that?

Great demo. I've bought lots of pedals from your store, and I'm really glad to see that you guys put these out.
that strat sounds beautiful
I love it! My 2nd Grosh guitar and I'm not disappointed
Very beautiful guitar. Jam is too!
Gorgeous playing. Super sweet tone.
Hey Mike, would love a video lesson on your outside concepts!
Solid. I'm not convinced this is the best on the market yet, but I haven't finished my research... Great playing!
What did you end up with
great little pedal .. and combined with your special talent a great video, dear Mike !.. :)

Both the pedal and your playing sound great.
Very nice playing and video dude I just picked one up used I think it's definitely staying on my pedal board
what was the settings on the dip switches?
Great pedal for single coil pickups, not for PAF, but with single coil is simply beautiful!
Great demo, thanks!
Sick playing as usual!
uh, great sounds and sweet playing, keep it up!
Have you tried the Jhs prestige boost? I think it’s a little better sounding than the ep but both are incredibly useful
My 3 desert island pedals: This - the EP Booster: Earthquaker Devices Dispatch Master; and Earthquaker Hoof Reaper Fuzz

Lovely effect!!
is this to boost the sound from having too maney peddles? too make it go from muddy to brite?
Great playing
Nevermind the pedal, how do I learn to play like him?!
You need to buy the pedal. Thats the whole secret.
Does it add mids?

It's just something I made up for the demo...
It is amazing. I don't come across stuff like that and I would like to hear more. Do u have ur own channel of u just playing ur own material?
Magic!
Thanks!
what song is that at 1:00?????
Swart amp? Sounds fucking amazing.....
mate, sounds amazing, what pickups are in the tele? Also are you using 10s?
Description says it is $116, that's €84.
But over here in Germany it actually goes for almost €140. That really sucks!
Anyways
Great Demos!
yea bro we get shafted by taxes and shipping :/

DerEchteBold Could you refer me to that site?

This is my secret weapon \m/
A good one to have
I need a pedal that give me more volume for the solos, no gain, Volume!!!
This pedal is my solution?
Sorry for the english Argentinian here!
volume is almost bound to push something just a little at the solo boost level, I'd say, be it the amp or another pedal.
Matias Skwarko Look at the TC Electronic Spark Booster. It does it all.
Buy an mxr micro amp and run it at the end of your pedals in front of amp to boost volume only
I feel like I need this to go with my sp compressor
Good combo. The Sl drive kills as well
If you want to sell a pedal, give it to this guy first. Then I’ll buy it
I think we can go cheaper and achieve the same tone with Mooer Blues Crab
EP or the JHS Prestige? Any recs would be greatly appreciated! And Mike: great playing as always!
