Router Table Storage Upgrade | Shop Organization

- Опубликовано: 28 сен 2024
- I upgraded my router table storage and organization with some custom cabinet drawers. I now have router bit storage, places for accessories, and a big drawer on the bottom for all the other router related items. This router table build is great way to add capacity to a steel router table. #woodworking #router #storage

really appreciate it when folks leave their mistakes in their videos. makes things so much more useful and approachable. thanks!
I have too many to not include 😂😂
Well said. I agree
I really appreciate you showcasing your mistakes! Makes me feel better about myself. Great job and thanks for the awesome video. This will help with my upcoming router table.
Glad to help!
Great upgrades! Love the vertical drawers. Makes a ton of sense to put that backer to span both slides too. Thanks for leaving in what you found during the build!
This one turned out real clean brother! good stuff
Great video. I was looking for a good way to build a router table drawer with the limited width space and yours is perfect. I liked your motto - don't glue-up if your going to screw-up! I guess i won't be gluing anymore!!! LOL. It's messy anyway!
Loved this build Brad! Glad I’m not the only one who makes life harder on myself... though I blame the filming process for making me make mistakes :)
I don't think I'll ever build something even close to this, but man that is satisfying to watch.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thats a great job Brad !!
Fricken love this channel!!!!! Great video!
Awesome idea man. Thanks for leaving the mistakes in there to make us all feel like were not the only ones that make them lol.
Good build Brad. Thank you for sharing. Plan on doing something similar with the Rockler router table setup I have. i appreciate you leaving the areas you learned from in the video - the rest of us can learn with you this way.
Very Nice Brad, now all i need to do is get myself a bigger table, instead of my table top one.
Love the 'Don't glue up if your gonna screw up' line ha ha ha. Thanks again for my Stickers.
Barry (ENG)
amazing work Brad
congratulations. Of all the table router projects I have seen, this seems to me the most beautiful! 👏👍
Great job! I have got to do that at home for my router table!
And it is so nice to see a pro on her make mistakes also!!!
Thanks so much for posting this video! I’m in the middle of a similar router table project and your side drawer ideas solves the problem I was having. Also, it was great that you included your errors...glad to know it’s not just me who has these problems!! Lol!
2nd video I’ve watched. Just discovered your channel. Yes, love your mistakes! Makes you human and shows you can always come back from a mistake!
Very nice, Brad! Looks great and super functional.
Brilliant work 🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️
Brad, plug the holes with a contrasting wood. Good job on the improvements.
I laughed so many times in this video. Thanks for that. I love how you are like, telling a story of your work. I really enjoyed it. And yes the mistakes, that's being a normal human being like the rest of us. I know I always do that too. I love that you laugh it off and not get mad.
Trying to polish up my dad joke game 😃
nice job on the router table
Great job and i’m happy to see a very good woodworker make mistakes....i don’t feel alone 😁merry christmas
Love this idea! I am definitely copying this for my router table!
U should get a rotary tool its a great tool for cutting chain and sharpening yard tools or for stripping woodstain off of fasteners
Really nice work, Brad. It's great when you have a plan, but sometimes I do just what you did, and work through the problems as I go. Thanks for sharing your process!
Helps build character...or humility 😀
@@Fixthisbuildthat Ha ha! Probably both!
And yet another gem from Brad. Nice job. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
I like when people leave their mistakes in the video. Most of the time, I learn something from mistakes and it shows us noob woodworkers even the best makes mistakes.
Brad, you make mistakes like all of us and leave them in to show us we are all human - very cool👌 , The draw system is Awesome, uses the otherwise wasted space, good job 👍👍👍
Thanks, Zane!
Nice Jet!
Thanks for showing how & sharing that
Yessss this is something I’ve been wanting to do for awhile. My Rockler stand looks pretty much the same as this Jet one. Thanks for working out all the possible problems haha. Btw, that lower drawer looks like it’s built for maximum ventilation with the peg boards on the bottom and two extra holes in the front. :D
Gotta have cross airflow 😂😂
Two quick fixes for the holes - use some type of scrap like rosewood, bubinga, etc or use a dowel painted to your daughter’s favorite color Either way, no holes but still a trigger for the memory!
Brad! Great build as always! I love your stuff! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks, Johnny!
Thanks for another awesome video
Fix This Build That You’re welcome!
Great video as always. Keep up the awesome work and thank you very much
Hey Brad, you'll get projects finished much faster now with those "Speed Holes" in the drawer bottom! Best, @HOneyOnWales
Great video! I was just thinking about getting one of those router tables and adding storage underneath...this would be perfect!
I was 20 minutes too late calling about a nice router table that had a Jessem top, Jessem router lift, and Jessem fence on a nice hand-made cabinet. Been thinking about how to duplicate that
I want to buy the Jet table just so I can make this project. Another great one Brad!
9:31 my favorite part
Great job!
Very cool and have a great Holiday Season!
Don't glue up if your gonna screw up 😂😂😂 that needs to be a shirt
😂😂😂 I think it would look better on a fanny pack
Hahaha it's funny because I build on the fly I don't have plans i just go for it and I never use glue untill most of its built then I go back and add glue. Yes a fix this build that fanny pack
I subbed right after I got done laughing at "don't glue up if you're gonna screw up."
that's pretty slick
thanks! Love the extra storage
"I cut this damn board twice and it's still too short."
The story of my life.
Turned out great
I dig it.
Brad that was a great build, but that wasn’t a Dilly Wacker that was a thingamajig.
😂😂😂 Clearly
Hey Brad, I really love your videos. I also love how you make mistakes ( Just like I do when I do my projects ) and show your mistakes. It shows even a professional can make boo boos … LOL. And yes, measure twice - cut once and don't glue up if your going to screw up. This storage upgrade came out great. Lookin forward to seeing more videos. O' and Happy New Year. I just subbed ya..
Awes9me, just made me go in another direction than what I was going to do
Glad it helped!
Excellent job - love the concept!
Thanks, Joe!
Great project!
I like your motto- don’t glue up if you’re going to screw up! Perfect, I also work better with a plan- not so good on the fly...
Yep, but it's still good to work those muscles sometimes
You know you got skills when you screw up and your holes are still symmetrical....lol
😂😂
I really need this! My pile of feather boards is always falling off the table. What screws do you use? Looked like a Robertson head but not a Kreg screw??
Spax Co structiin screws. It's a posidrive
Good job, Looks great.
thanks!
But what if we don’t like what your doing.Jokes I love all the DIY videos you make!
I just subscribed to your channel, I love how you explain things and am learning a lot. I’m curious, is this a hobby for you or do you do woodwork for a living? Keep the projects coming!!
Nice video Thanks for sharing! 👍😎JP
Enlarge the holes and fill them with dowels.
"Honestly, I'm not exactly sure how this is going to work..." I think if you made a video out of the results, *something* must have worked. (This storage solution looks great, by the way. Very clean and clever on some tool-specific solutions.
It was a fun process to go on the fly...e en if I had some stumbles
Hey Brad, great video! What stop collar are you using on your drill?
Классно молодец
New to your channel and I love the ease of listening to and understanding your builds. Side question: What plans did you use for your miter saw stand?
I used my own plans! Fixthisbuildthat.com/mitersawstand
@@Fixthisbuildthat Thanks for the info. Of course you used your own plans. :) I built one similar, but not even close to being this nice, super basic and not happy with it. I see this in the near future. Thanks again.
Were any of the pieces sanded whatsoever? I know it sounds like im ranting here, but rough pieces can be a pain to deal with sometimes. Here come the scratches baby😂
Subscribed. Who makes that countersink bit you use in the video?
Where do you buy your plywood? The stuff at home depot is not very good. Thanks!
Brad, what height do you have your router table set to?
What’s the brand and such or if u have a link even better for the flush counter sink bit
TOP 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Super 🎄🎄👍🥂🍸
Nice
Won't work for me as my router table is older than myself and nothing like yours, but still a kool video.
Do you have any plans for this project yet?
No, I don't. Since it's based on such a specific stand I didn't do them. But I gave most info in the vid to recreate
I felt like i was smelling saw dust while watching this weird
First
I freaking love it. Jet should work with your design to Make a table like this!
Merry Christmas to you and your family.
That would be awesome! Merry Christmas, Ben!
I hope Jet understands what a great partner they’ve got in you Brad. Great build!
Feel free to let them know 😁
Built in ventilation and an simple way to remove sawdust from the drawer bottom.
I love the vent holes around the drawer pulls!!!!
:)
This is an awesome upgrade Brad! It's a great idea that is so useful to many woodworkers!
As always, you have the best execution of the simplest ideas. Love the router bit drawer.
Thanks, man! Really appreciate that :)
Love the videos .. Hang in there dude. Put some red paint in those extra handle holes.... No Need for the large black arrows pointing at them though.
😂😂😂
Good idea and well done !!!!! I liked it . Congrats L.ZACCARO
why do i watch all these DIY videos knowing damn well i will never build anything because i don't even own any tools...
Just watched a second time and I have to say, you have an ability (that apparently I don't have) to make all your alignment work and look good. Any chance you want to sell that entire arrangement? LOL. Not just the plans, but the entire actual tool and cabinet?
😂😅😂 my secret is spacers. Always use spacers to set the gaps.
Hi Fix The Build That, how are you? We love your video so much! It is interesting and trustful. Shall we invite you to make a video for our keyless smart lock? We would ship you product directly to your home without any fees. And you can send the video to us after finish. Wait for your confirmation. Thanks again for your attention.
Nice! I think that I'll subscribe! Merry Christmas!
How is the pegboard drawer bottom working? I would imagine it will flex a fair bit, maybe put a couple strechers under it to support it a bit.
#rideforme
My dad watches some more videos to this you might like this because it’s a little bit interesting for me
"Don't glue up if you're gonna screw up.." this is why I no longer have a glue bottle......lol
😂😂
Must say, you tend to have the best shop projects.. #callithowiseeit great job!
Nice one bud I may think something like this for my shop
Does anyone know where to get that good countersink bit brad uses?
Great job!! That was a very creative way to use your current stand.
Good build. Designing on the fly is good for skill building.
That’s so badass. Truly great work!
Ok, at 4:54 you made up that word! Removered lol
