I have a 2016 is300 fsport it looks like I can take my filter out without disconnecting the sensor. Is necessary to remove it or just a precaution ? Thanks nice video !
A precaution. I think I accidentally pulled the sensor forcibly by lifting the cover. If you think you can manage without removing the sensor then go for it! Good luck!
How long did yours take to dry? I’ve heard some peoples take up to 2-4 days, and I also heard you shouldn’t wash the bottom due to longer drying Time and possibility of you pushing debris up into the filter since the bottom is where the air pushes through, and can I use my oem filter or an oem filter to throw in so I can drive it while my f-sport filter filter is drying?
Not sure about the drying time but regarding which side to wash I would just follow the instructions on the bottle when it comes to the f sport filter.
@@ez12a thanks for the reply, don’t know how I’m just seeing it, but I found it out anyways, and while it’s drying anyways I can just swap in an oem filter because it fits snd functions the exact same still
Just go buy a paper filter to use while the filter drys. It could take a couple days right. Leave it in your furnace room if you have one. If not just leave it out in the open, keep it bottom side up while drying to prevent stuff from falling on top and getting sucked into engine. I have a f sport filter and an AEM reusable. So when one is done I put the other in. And I literally don’t worry about how long it takes to clean. I’ll let my filter soak for a day or two. With dish soap, and ill change the water a few times. Stuff still comes out after a day
Hello sir, I have the IS250 AWD 2009. Previous owner installed the F-Sport performance air intake system which contain the F-Sport filter washable and reusable. My question is can I use a regular engine filter or do I have to reuse the Fsport engine filter(or purchase a new Fsport engine filter)? Thanks,
it looks like the housing and filter are basically the same as OEM. You can try using a new paper filter or cleaning the F sport filter. However I have no guarantees that it'll work with a paper filter.
The air box is pretty much the same as non F-Sport, only difference is there's a hole for more intake noise. OEM paper filter will work, but you have an F-Sport filter, I would just keep it unless it's in bad condition.
