Gosh, that was just breathtaking. It's magical when they skate that flawlessly. They are every bit the perfect pair: she, beautiful, delicate and strong; he: handsome, virile, athletic and sensitive. What great redemption from '98 when they'd skated so beautifully, but Anton fell on their triple toes. If they'd skate after S & P and S & Z, I think they'd have 5.9's and 6.0's for that performance. Rightfully so.
5.8s for presentation?! You have got to be kidding me...I don't care how early they skated, this program is worth 5.9/6.0 easily. One of the best pairs SP I've ever seen.
Still one of the best short programs ever. It's a shame that 6.0 was not able to properly separate teams because they should have had a bigger lead going into the long (which they also should have won).
I agree with you completely, but there was no way the judges could throw out a 6.0 when the reigning world champions and world bronze medalists had not yet skated. I certainly think more 5.9's were in order and they would have gotten 6.0s if they'd skated later. Just bad luck, but it didn't matter in the end.
You're wrong there. North Americans don't necessarily stick together. You should change your comment to "people in Canada and Scott Hamilton." Many Americans, myself included, thought that Elena and Anton were the clear winners and I personally was horrified that a second gold was awarded to S&P. Doesn't matter to me if a skater is Russian, Canadian, Chinese, or from the North Pole, I only care about how they skate.
This program was a masterpiece. Probably my favorite pairs sp ever
I love her white lace gown
so elegant and romantic
amazing costume for a beautiful, incomparable woman

Плывут в воздухе,великолепный дуэт.
I loved it...all the rest has already been said...smile...anyway, CHEERS!!! One more... weren't those outfits stunning too?

I'm so glad they have the replay. I thought it was my computer, but I guess it's the video.
Maybe the best SP in history!
I couldn't agree with you more
you said exactly what I feel
Think the commentator fluffed the song's name. Never heard of 'Lady California' before. :P
'La Califfa' or 'Lady Caliph', I think. Beautiful skating!
Perfect!

Well said.
great observation.I totally agree;-)
So true....that judges had to be mad
I would have to say that B and S were way better on SP, but S and P were better on LP, but since LP counts more S and P deserved the gold

I'm russian. I'm glad to see people, who judge objektively
