Leonardo da Vinci as Doc Brown? Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventures

When Bill & Ted (and a de-aging Rufus) meet Leonardo da Vinci in Season 1 Episode 10 (1990) of the Bill & Ted cartoons, he sounds a lot like an inventor and time traveller from a different franchise.
Like Bill & Ted, Back to the Future had an animated series that ran for two seasons in the early '90s.
