Thank you for another wonderful reaction..thank you for going through the small but relevant details. Near the end, when the 2 members facing each other were belting out..the one doing the high adlibs there was Eunkwang..the one wearing yellow. He is the leader and main vocalist and he's the one who normally does that kind of high note. He also rapped a bit during the start of the song though honestly, it sounded different with him coz it's not really his part. Even the last line of the song..the end part..was not also his part. FUN FACT: In the original version of this song, Eunkwang didn't have a part coz he was enlisted during the time they did this song. And they still had Ilhoon, their main rapper that time who was the first one to rap in this song. And the ending line was originally by Changsub..the 2nd guy in their formation. But since their main rapper had left the group in 2020, whenever they sing their older songs, they take turns on doing Ilhoon's rap part. Here, in this performance, Eunkwang was the one who did the rapping and he also did the ending part. Anyway, BTOB can easily perform whether they have 7,6,5,4,3 or even 2 members only. They know what to do, they can easily fill in on a member's part whether it's song or rap part since they are all capable of doing so. These guys are just so talented..they deserve to be known internationally. he nailed those parts even if they arent his parts. ahh! curse those pesky enlistments! that makes me so sad, I didn't know one of them left, I think thats so crazy, why would you?! oh well. I agree, they should be in the same breath as EXO and BTS. I think I will check this out, let me pin for future reference!
@@Killdeer25 thank you. Well, honestly, all members were so sad too..even broken hearted when Ilhoon left..he didn't want to..but he had to. You see, he was involved in an issue/ scandal that time & media & netizens going crazy & before all the bad publicity and write ups affect the whole group, their company had to make Ilhoon leave the group..so that's what he did, to save them. So after that, the issue was settled..everything's ok now..but I guess it'll be so hard for the group to have Ilhoon again coz of that cancel culture thing and most people there wouldn't want them to include Ilhoon in the group again. Very different with us, international fans who would like him to be reunited with the group coz everything's ok now and we all deserve 2nd chances. We believe a mistake shouldn't define who you are..but I guess different countries have different cultures and state of mind and they're not that open minded yet to forgiving and giving 2nd chances. Anyway, we know that the members still love Ilhoon and are keeping in touch with him..maybe they wish too that someday, somehow, they'll be complete again..that's what we all wish for..and if that happens..I'll be crying happy tears.
ohhhh! ok, that makes sense, that is so hard. I hope that in the end there is a peaceable resolution that allows for some closure and reunion of the members, second chances are important.
Love the way you went over the details of this performance. It's one of my favorite b-sides. Everytime Hyunsik or Changsub sings the last notes of "Jebal" (please) it always grips my heart. And I also love how all the rap parts fit into the song so well w/o feeling forced and how the raps make the song even more interesting
that to me is such a nice thing, most rap feels forced generally, they did well here! thank you! I am so glad that Melody have given me some amazing suggestions!
Thank you for this reaction!! Climax is one of my fav B-side from them. I really want to hear your thoughts on BTOB's japanese song 'L.U.V' and another B-side song 'Outro:Encore' that they sang during the closing of their concert. I think you would really enjoy these performances..
This reaction was a great end-of-the-work-week bonus! Thanks! Thanks for bringing out the details of how they work hard to finish their vocal and rap phrases to the best effect. I remember Eunkwang judging on the survival show "Build Up" and grimacing when one of the vocalists finished his phrases...now I understand why he was displeased. They're all so used to attending to every detail of a song that even their b-sides are a lot of work. Climax (one of my many favorite b-sides) was written by Minhyuk (rapper on the left). Eunkwang, the one I think did the very high notes you pointed out, was doing their former member's rap part as well as the song's outro. You mentioned that he seemed to be saying "please." Was that because you knew that the other name for the song is "Jebal," which is "please" in Korean? I really look forward to your BTOB reactions.
To be real, I kind of see Friday as kind of the main event of the weekend 😄 I honestly think I could see that! the lead singe of Aerosmith has stated that he hates hearing covers for similar reasons, I wish I could say that I knew that, I go into these songs 100% blind, it just was being said in the strain of his voice. There was a tension that just was a pleading in it 😳
@Killdeer25 they used to be under Cube entertainment company, and Cube is known for not taking good care of their artists. Now, BtoB is under different company and I really hope they will make greater progress If you are interested please take a look at new music album published by Yook SengJae( sub vocal in BToB)
It's been a while since you reacted with BTOB. Finally, another BTOB performance reaction from you. Thanks for pointing out those little details, they are indeed on masterclass level, that's why they were awarded as the BEST VOCAL GROUP. The Vocal Kings. Please do more BTOB reactions, you can also check their solo album. Maybe, Minhyuk (Huta) songs are your cup of tea.
I know, I need to more! I very much will get back to them as fast as possible! I can check out their solo stuff as well. they should be called The Vocal Kings!
Love that you love the rappers in this group. I feel like BtoB isn't known for it's rappers and that they're underrated but maybe I'm wrong. I know that BtoB is way more popular in South Korea than internationally so maybe it's only the international kpop fans that underrate them. The one on the far left that you really liked is Peniel. He is American. The one on the right is Min Hyuk or he goes by Huta as a solo artist. He writes and composes a lot of their songs. I'm pretty sure they all contribute to the writing as all of the vocalists have degrees in music and two of them from a very prestigious and very hard to get into program. The high note was my bias, Changsub (second from left) I'm pretty sure, you were commenting on his super open mouth and emotion. At fist I thought it was Eunkwang (second from right), who also sang the end part. But he was on camera and still finishing his note when the high note came in. Changsub was the only one not on camera singing a different part during the note and I think only he and Eunkwang can get that high. Third from left, whose tone you liked is Sungjae and third from right is Hyunshik my other bias. Looking forward to more BtoB! They are my ult group outside of SM and I would rank them alongside all my SM faves. They are equally talented if somewhat more traditional and ballad-y than I would care for if it wasn't BtoB.
I agree.. Because Sungjae is singing the main part, and we can see that Eunkwang and Hyunsik are still singing the adlibs, that leaves only Changsub to sing that really high note. Eunkwang and Changsub are usually in charge of notes that are really2 high because they have naturally higher note voices. However, Sungjae can also reach that high note (Sungjae did that high note in BTOB Blue's song 'When It Rains').
@@sakurahanis I will have to check that out. I haven't heard any of BtoB Blue yet. Even though they are one of my favorite groups I'm still pretty new.
@@sakurahanis So weirdly, I found them not because of their music but because of Changsub's friendship with Key and then I watched Kingdom where they sang a lot of songs that weren't theirs. And then when I did start checking out their music, I'm actually not a big fan of ballads and love songs so I was slow to get into it. I really loved the guys and their humour though. And then I saw the Killing Voice and I was completely won over because how could you not? I like Higher and Finale and the more athem-y songs best but of course the ballads are insanely good. My favourite ballad is Someday. But there is a lot of their discography I still have to check out.
@kristenblack6026 I c.. The first kpop group that I stan was TVXQ (Changmin, the MC of Kingdom was my bias). I do love other groups after that, such as 2pm, Infinite, and of course BTOB. BTOB is the only group that I feel has a similar vibe with TVXQ where they major in acapella/ballad/harmonies, but they can do all sorts of other genre as well.. Plus, they are really chaotic/weird that I find the duality really charming. I guess that is also why Changsub and Key are such good friends. They are so different (which complement each other), but they are so used to the chaotic environment (being chaotic themselves). Hehe.. 😂 BTOB Blue is a vocal flex unit, so I guess the BTOB4U unit might be more up your alley. Have you checked out BTOB4U's mini albums before? They have 2 albums (Inside and Outside). And since Changsub is your bias, have you checked out his youtube channel, Jeongwaja/Changing Major?
Thank you so much for supporting BTOB with your reaction videos. 🙏🙏🙏 Thank you for appreciating Peniel’s rap flow. I like how he creates his rap verse, straight forward, cheeky, reflecting the over all message of the song when he inserts the English lyrics. The faint high note was Changsub.
