Green Tambourine by The Young Lovers

Don't know much about this record. It boasts that it has the theme from Elvira Madigan and the song Green Tambourine and then it says that it is featuring The Young Lovers. It is on Design Records and I don't know the year. It is a pretty crumby album if you ask me but I figured I may as well put up at least one track from it for the hell of it.

Orighinally released in 1968. "The Young Lovers" was a studio group that recorded several albums for Cy Leslie's Design records in 1967 and '68.
Normally, this album sold for 99 cents in most supermarkets- and other places where "bargain LP's" such as this were available.

I have this album in my collection of goodwill find albums. Reminds me of Marsha and Greg sneaking around to plan a surprise party for Alice. Lol

The guy that wrote this was living in bodega bay California in the 80s he May still be he wrote I think another Major bubblegum hit but I cant remembers what. He was advertízing on laundrmat bulletin boards his sevices as a songwriting teacher

I've just been had! I wonder how many sales of this album were attributed to the pretty face on the cover? I just assumed she must be the cute lead singer of some cool group I'd never heard of. Give me my 2.15 minutes back!
