Awesome! Brings back great memories as a kid growing up in New Orleans and riding a lot of the name trains in the early to late 60’s. I still go to the NOUPT to ride Amtrak. Just a fantastic job of recreating the glory days of train riding. Thanks for sharing.
Cliff, love the MA&G!!!What is the second song they play when "The Magnolian" enters NOUPT?? I recognize "Do You Know What It Means to Miss New Orleans?"but what 's the other one ??
As an Englishman who vacations in the USA I have a fond memory of the 12th of July 2017 departing this station travelling in a Roomette straight through to Los Angeles Union Station, itself also a stunningly beautiful station. It was my 40th birthday present to myself. What an awesome model railroad you have there, is it open to tourists or is it a private model?
Really amazing! Rare to see a 'full size' passenger terminal. Thanks for sharing.

The NOUPT is still a scratch building benchmark ! Even had the correct calendars on the office walls if I recall correctly?
Brilliant. A work of genius. Where is this layout located?
