What you’re describing when you talk about how you feel like you’re hiding is exactly how I felt living in my van full time in the city.Pre pandemic i lived in a van with my ex and we would also follow the music and go to shows(sometimes to vend out of our van) which made it more of a lifestyle. When we broke up right before the pandemic and i got my own van i became so self conscious and all of my old insecurities came back, somehow even worse. I think not being able to live the life i wanted to with how the world was had a huge affect. I don’t have really any friends around here so living alone in the city with no music release was really hard for me.Part of why I upgraded to a small rv is for the space, and sense of normalcy. When i exit it feels better because I don’t feel like i have to hide, it’s obvious that im traveling or living in it which gets rid of the stress of stealth living. Unfortunately there is no where to park where i live without getting a ticket, so I’ve had to rent a monthly spot in an Airbnb driveway. Honestly i hate “paying rent” but the ease of being able to freely live and go in and out, have my windows ope,and not feel like i have to hide has been the best thing for my mental health. Maybe something like a constant spot to park could help your situation a little? I still struggle with feeling homeless but i do plan on getting a home base as well one day and that helps keep me going. Sorry for the extra long comment, i feel like i relate so much to your videos and cant help but share with you too. Thank you for being honest with us, its why i love your channel! I hope you feel better and things start to look up soon. We will be here for you when you get back!

Thank you so much for sharing 🥺🤍 that is why I love this platform and this community so much. This comment brought tears to my eyes. Thank you so much for being here. A place to park and not feel stealth would definitely help my mental health and I think I am starting to finally realize that. I am really looking forward to kinda getting some things sorted out the next few weeks and sharing more on all of that as I go. The pandemic really threw van life for a loop and I’m so glad to hear to you are adjusting and making things work in a healthy way for you. Your comments always hit home. I relate so much to what you say too 🥺 thank you for being so supportive and I so look forward to continuing to connect Alice ☺️ 🤍🤍

Ahhh..Tory you are an amazing person ! Thank you for sharing your obvious pain and thoughts. I know it was difficult to do. My advice (for what it's worth) is you gotta do you..if that means not traveling for awhile that's perfectly fine..I hope in the coming days you can find peace and contentment with whichever path you choose for the near future . You and Josh are such a wonderful couple and I'm proud to call you my friends !! Be kind and patient with yourself and each other going forward. I know you will find the right direction for your life. You mentioned the idea of perhaps getting some land to be on. I can't tell you how many people I've met just recently that share that same thought. So please dont feel alone. We are all unique and special and need to find our paths. Definitely nothing wrong about that. I will admit I will miss your videos in the coming weeks but I totally understand why you want and need a break. All the best to you both...life is adventure so embrace the changes you will be making. My sincere hope is you find contentment and joy. I know you have brought me joy through all the weeks of sharing your journey . See you soon on here..there are no final goodbyes, just see you down the road. All my best !! 🤗🧡

"Peopling" has become so much more difficult post-2020. It's not just you. Even people in long established homes are noticing the difficulties dealing with people and the stress of the city lately.

Yea is easy to get burnout in the city I don’t even last two day do that. So I think a break will be a good idea 👍

I would say that you are more bunt out of the city not the van or your life. I feel like you dislike your job. Honey, big virtual hugs... whether it is the van, job, or anything else in life. I give you hugs from across the world.
