I can't count how many times I have fished in the inlet, or on the beaches, as a kid. In all those hours, I only ever caught ONE undersized striper - which was great. I was finally convinced that there IS life in those waters.
It’s a tough and humbling place to fish for sure…it took me a few years to figure out how to actually catch something…Delaware is just tough compared to a lot of other places. Once you get an idea of fish patterns it helps a lot
Your channel is AWESOME! Live in Chesco and getting back into fishing, mainly saltwater. So I’m targeting DE and NJ. Looking at those rocks I’m not sure how you weren’t snagged everytime. Last week took my son to C&D canal and pretty much we got snagged every cast.
I fish there all the time to keep from getting snagged which 9 out of 10 times it's the weight I paper clips to hold the weight so if the sinker gets hung up the paper clip will give and save ur hook gamatzu hooks ain't cheep u can easily go through a pack or Moore on a day with hella current I some times use big nuts or old spark plugs for weight it's cheaper
At IRI I lose a bunch of tackle. Damn tautog and blackfish grab your bait and swim back in to the nooks and crannies of the rocks. Maybe I will try that torpedo sinker you been using or a cannonball sinker next time I go...
MrCbreakable It’s a tough place to fish for sure, after a while you find some holes that you usually won’t get snagged in, but it happens no matter what. The torpedo sinker works great!
Cool. I think we are headed there this Sunday. I'll definitely try out the torpedo. I also heard of a trick using spark plugs on +Senko Skipper 's channel
SchusterFishing, Great vid. I contemplating hitting the inlet this weekend or at least Friday. Now I'll definitely go. What was best for you, sand fleas, or bloodworms. Thanks
melo Ramirez I live in northern Delaware about the same for me, I just usually can’t stay a couple of days with my kids at home and stuff so usually it has be one day trip kinda deal
just subbed sometimes hate fishing jettys or rocks i get snagged nice to be able to setup own rigs on the fly like that good vid also those black bass are popular esp late summer catch tons up here in OC NJ etc checkout my channel if ya like too
Nice video my man! I subbed
DeadEye Outdoors Thanks Bro! 🤙🏻

@@SchusterFishes also, I will never ever fish with chunks in the inlet again. I think I lost every bait rig I tossed there :)
That's the only problem fishing the Indian River Inlet, for every keeper you catch, you catch 40 you have to throw back.
Why didn’t you just free line the runner......?!

Thanks man appreciate it. Ah dont even bother with the canal man its terrible....go further south if you can

I also use folder crabs. Or green crabs u can catch the folder right on the other side back by the harbor theirs a trail and low tide there everywhere
Damn bro at 530 already! You were at 400 not too long ago! Good stuff
Dillon L. Fishing yeah bro 🤙🏻
Nice little snappers towards the end of your video. Shoulda kept them on and thrown the rig back in for the bigger ones to come along.

armyprops Bloodworms will get you sea bass which can be annoying, the croaker seem to be gone, I would go sand fleas
Last time I was down there those little bass wouldn’t leave me alone. I was doing the same thing, “oooh this one feels better lol”
SNARL 302 Hahaha I would like them if there was ever a chance at a keeper!
SchusterFishing its funny how a 6” sea bass will hit like a 14” croaker. Love your vids bro. Can’t wait for this fall run!!!
Where do you get your bait?
All over the place
Almost togg time. You dont fish ocean city md for togg?
melo Ramirez I try to I love it down there it’s just so far from me hard to justify driving all the way down just for the day
@@SchusterFishes ohhh i thought you was in delaware . Its 3 hrs for me . I go down for 3 days at a time at least. Togg and seabass.

Sea bass is the best eating!
What rod and reel are you using ?
Andy Sedar They’re both listed in the description!
What is the cart you used in this video? Is it a stroller? I need a good setup to transport my wife and I fishing gear from car to water. Thanks
It’s a beach cart I got from Costco
@@SchusterFishes thanks so much. I saw similar beach carts on Amazon. Seems like the way to go
