Heck, most don’t hold 6 months anymore. It’s exhausting.
I should have said at least six years. I’m an investor not a trader. My point being, I’m ok for PLTR to not 10x any time soon. My expectations are realistic, at least 6 more years I should see some gains. And unless the company fundamentals change, this is a long term hold for me.

From Canada buying Pltr after it came into my knowledge, I think like you say it is going to something huge , perhaps bigger than we Imagine. Like Tech companies became bigger than the manufacturing companies that built the physical devices . AI is all about software finally that is going to define how well a black well chip is going to be leveraged.

Late in the viewing, but amazing content! Killing with NVDA shift into AI when it was 150 pre-split, AVGO when it was low 500-600, several other semi small caps. Now, Phase 2 AI is a long term hold for great reward

PLTR has interesting management and government contracts but their software tech is lagging and in commercial eneterprises the developers aren't going for it so they will need to invest a ton of RND before it can justify it's current valuations

There are quite some companies doing what Palantir do, plus companies like OpenAI, Google etc are developing their own proprietary platforms

Is Nvidia NIM a competitor to Palantir AIP?
Not really. They could be used in conjunction. For pure ontology logic, PLTR is a much better fit currently. That could evolve. I think there’s plenty of room both and several others to grow significantly over time.

I don't see why their software is unique, it may be new and there is hype,
but many companies will be able to reproduce this on their own.

Working with an application doesn’t mean you understand the dynamics of enterprise software or investing in it for that matter. AIP is a year old and has 70+ successful use cases. Part of the misunderstanding likely deals with the term AI, which is a massive universe. Generative Ai isn’t that complex. Think of it as the next Google search. Advanced processing power allows us to retire data in a revolutionary way. The infrastructure is the LLms. But an enterprise needs to connect clean data to those llms to make use. PLTR is essentially a data analytics company. AIP turns it into a data platform. It’s enabling businesses to connect their data to these LLMs to be used in meaningful ways. It’s not terminator robot AI. It’s generative AI. Palantir is a first mover in the space which we have identified as phase 2 of Gen Ai. Palantir is also very sticky with existing clients. It already houses that enterprise data. This deals with data and ontology. If that doesn’t make sense to you, then I can’t help.

I'm a life long software guy, and former Fortune 500 executive and I'm convinced Palantir is at the forefront of the software side of AI. AI can be simplified and broken down into 3 categories: you can either leverage/sell data (like TSLA for FSD), hardware to manage the immense processing needs (NVDA and other semi) or software to process data and provide valuable outputs. PLTR obviously sits in the latter category with many, many, others... but the beauty of PLTR is that can leverage the decades of data and info sitting idle within a large organization.
Don't get me wrong, implementing it isn't easy (massive data migration and architecture changes are needed), but no one is selling software that is able to leverage YOUR DATA to provide real value, actions, next steps, etc... most of the software "competitors" just leverage 3rd party data, dog shit algos, and basic outputs. Don't get me wrong, there are areas where this is useful to improve operational efficiency and tasks such as translation, ad serving, etc. But this isn't where the true power of AI lives.

Hard to say, depends on earnings. It’s expensive here. If AI revenue kicks in, you could see it hold a similar multiple with a higher price. The video does share some thoughts on price towards the end. Take a look. Cheers.

Hello. Yes, you could also look at accuracy as quality data. Garbage in, garbage out. Phase 2 deals with data Managment, data quality, data migration, ontology, and connecting that proprietary data to LLMs. I didn’t watch the clip, so I’m not sure what Bill is referring to. I have followed the company especially what they have done for Ukraine helping defend itself from a bigger stronger foe..and it is quite remarkable …the applications in the private sector seem limitless..enjoyed this one and think the retail investors might have gotten this one right ahead of Wall Street

Just both timing. Both stocks are up up huge if you bought the right prices. In fact, TSLA is still up around 1,100% in 5 years. I like both, I would hold long. They will work out with time. Not financial advice.

This company stock is being over hyped while stock price did not go anywhere for a long time. Reminds me of company like FTC and his founder Sam Bankman Fried. Stay away from this company. There are much better proven AI trade out there like NVDA, META, GOOGL, MSFT, APPL.
The stocks you listed are my top holdings. For many years. Nobody said PLTR was better than those.
This PLTR is trading at forward PE of 69 while NVDA the near monopoly in AI chips trade at 45. The corporate world's top priority is LLM not some niche tools like PLTR.
You wouldn’t use a PE ratio for recurring revenue.
