We were on deck 10. Identical room but the balcony was twice as deep. The trick with the fridge is to leave the wooden door open as it gets far too hot in there. We also ditched the ladder on the bed closest to the door and just used the middle ladder to free up space. We also put the round table in the WIR to free up space. But overall it certainly isn't a space you can relax in. The balcony on ours was not too bad for 2 people but crowded with 3. We spent most of our sea days hanging out in lounge areas on deck 5.
those are some good tricks.... we ended up pushing the bunks together which freed up some room in that living kinda area, it also meant the back bottom bed could snuggle up and watch movies with us at night!! But yes we spent most of our time out and about as well :) I think if we book a balcony room we would definately go a bit lower next time for that extra bit of space. We only chose 12 as we figure it would be better because no one would be looking down on us while on the balcony. Thanks for stopping by our channel, we'll be releasing P&O vlogs shortly on our main channel :)
Hi and yes the Royal Caribbean balconey rooms are more spacious , I think with Pacific Encounter Oceanview room would get a much bigger room , some of the oceanview rooms are 1135-173 square feet and a balconey is 179 but that includes the balconey area..
😂😂😂😂😂😂 you should see some of the staff rooms on cruise ships 4 people in a space half this size 1 toilet between 2 rooms no windows because ur below the water line and ur there for 6-10 months 😂
Totally. One night I noticed the lock wasnt in, it looked bent at the hinge area, and I pushed it with my foot and it snapped into place and locked. I was a bit shocked and then checked the rest. Id definitely not want a large person sleeping on the bed above.
I think it feels smaller because of the bunk beds with the height of it all... That's pretty cool that you have a balcony though. We've been on other P&O cruises in the past and yes, they are pretty small. Awww what? No towel animals 😟😟
thanks for the comment, we intend to go on every available cruise from Brisbane just to give a side by side balcony room comparison. But yes you are correct ship size is quite different which in turn would effect room size, which is good info for future travellers making a choice. have you been on any other cruises besides Royal and P&O...would love to get your feed back on others
Carnival layout is better, I don't like RC as 3/4 have to share the lounge and don't get a real bed and you can't really walk past to get to balcony so all up Carnival is the best.

we had an oceanview cabin on deck 8. It was so windy im kinda happy we didn't have a balcony to save the money
Haha yea, it was very windy on days 3 and 4 of this cruise. How was the oceanview cabin in terms of size (similar to this without the balcony?)
Now this is a niche channel!! What a great room and your hostess🥰

Its rough aye. I sure hope they are well compensated for their hard work. I could never do it.
The beds don't look safe. I would be worry they would collapse
😮

You can not compare the any other ship to something as big as the Quantum. Check the size difference. Good video.

We will have to try a carnival cruise one day.
Hi! We are book into room 12710 and I’m worried about the noise. Did this bother you at all? Thanks so much!
Could you whinge any more...
