The green and violet are awesome. In the early 70's motor oil and purple worms were all the rage. This violet worm reminds me very much of the original purple worms but with a sparkle. I would shoot that under boat docks and hang on!! The green in the spring is just the thing.
I found that flakes that have some curl to them will actually sparkle more from different angles. If you look at some flake on a flat table, you have to be almost right over the flake to see the sparkle where-as a flake with some curl will sparkle at almost any angle. Out of all the swimbait's I have that have the same color flakes, the on that sparkles/glitters the most is the one that has curled flake in it
This is a great video. Thanks Adam! We've primarily seen colors degrade on remelts. As you've seen though, the pearl glitter is still pretty heat resistant. In our tests it just wouldn't take as much heat as our standard glitters, so we felt the disclosure was important.
Thanks! I can see, perhaps, multiple remelts causing a problem perhaps, but I would hazard to guess that’s likely true across the board, regardless of pigment and/or flake! All in all, great product! I look forward to stretching its legs in future builds!
Great video and another absolutely amazing job! You are the MASTER! I always look forward to what you come up with next. Take care and keep rockin it! As always, #SDGCustomLurecraft rocks!!!
@@SDGCustomLurecraft Back seater / co-angler at that time ... and was boating them left & right from the back in 30' while my buddy up front was struggling in the prime position in a cut ... on almost every drop to the btm and sometimes on the fall near bottom IT WAS FISH ON !! 7 total same lil spot all about 14''-16'' didn't weigh them because he said it would take twice the weight to get paid to this day I still would have liked to weight them just to see where i placed ( local club Tourney ) but his boat his call ....
I don’t know if you are looking at comments on older videos but I am watching them over and over soaking up your master mind skills. I was wondering what hot plate you are using?
Hey Mike, I try to keep up on all new comments, yup! That hot plate was just a $40-$50 deal from Walmart or Target - I want to say Black and Decker but I’m not 100% sure. Nothing special, but I did buy two “diffuser plates” off Amazon which help to even out the heat a bit, spread it around.
That Pearl flake is awesome. Believe it or not it works well in powder paint as well. By the way have you heard from Dan? I have tried texting him and emailing him and he hasn't responded nor has he made a video in a long time. Really worried about him.
I bet it would look great that way, nice! Re:Dan, I have not, but I’ve talked with those that have as I was concerned as well. He’s facing some health challenges that make videos extra hard these days. Hopefully he can find some answers and get some relief soon.
@@sher13573 glad you enjoyed it! LW DPs are super fine particle size and more reflective (pearls have softer tone to them). They saturate the plastic vs these pearl flakes dispersing throughout the bait (like a normal flake would).
I wonder if the extra heat has an effect on the colors over time. such as after 6 months to a year, or after 2 years. I know Yamamoto colors will fade dramatically after about 5 years
Good question - my guess is its not as much about time as heat, specifically for this product... only because I think you run the risk of EVERY color and EVERY flake breaking down over that much time. And, if I had to guess, I bet the Yama stuff is all the worse given the level of salt in the mix - that's got to take a toll on the pigment and flake over time.
@@SDGCustomLurecraft good summation. All that salt very likely is the biggest factor for the Yamamoto plastics I experienced fading so much after so many years. They're not supposed to get better over time, like wine, after all. And my question was mostly out of context in regards to the purpose of your testing. My guess is; if they didn't hold up to the heat they very likely won't hold up over time. But it was good to see the pearl flake from Barlows hold up. Barlows is my favorite bulk supplier. I have literally spent thousands of dollars with them over the past three years, primarily on molds more than hooks. I expect that to change soon. Their prices can be very hard to beat for the most part. They do more product testing and inspecting than most would give them credit for, and I have seen a lot of ridiculously inferior products from other supplier. It's good to see well thought out and conducted experiments. You've got a very very concise and eloquent style. Congrats on the speedy rise on your subscription totals!
Yousa, Yousa, Yousa the last one on the first batch am going to give it a name; "Florida chipmunk" and now too math + 3 to the other 3 👍 great presentation 👍
If you mean powder pigment, yup! I used it in white and gold in the video. If you mean powder paint for jigs, no. You can add soft plastic powder pigment to clear powder paint to create a jig head color, but it doesn’t work the other way around. Hope this helps!
Yup, NP. The jig paint would melt, harden, and flash cure given the heat of the plastisol (recall, its designed to cure rock hard in the oven at 325-350) - Probably ruin the Pyrex cup (or worse) as well! Yowzah!
A fan of the blues…. Love it!!!🥁🎸🥁🎸🎤🎤. Beautiful colors on the worms as well.
Love me some modern blues! Glad you enjoyed the journey!
From the vice, to shooting baits, to master lure craftsman and now scientific research! This channel keeps getting better and better! 😂. You rock bro!

Most certainly some stand-outs from the video, they were looking good! Thanks for the feedback John!
Very nice. Loved the blues music as well. Huge blues fan here brother. 😊

That’s a great point 👍👍 So long as the color holds up, a little curl can’t hurt!
Another awesome video Adam! Now I gotta go buy more pearl glitter LOL. Your last video made me go get all the diamond flake!! Cheers Brother!!
LOL, its worth it! Tasty stuff for sure, cool product!

LOL, it’s a killer color! Mr Wizard over here!
Another great video++
The violet and the gold ones for sure!!
They were killer!! Thx man!
Good stuff😊 dark Violet, good looking worm color, the clear mixed, good swimbait. Good testing thanks.
Thanks Alan! I was thinking the same about the mixed option - killer top color for a swimbait!
Kudzu was such a good call, my compliments to the chef! 🤘🏻
Glad you concur my friend, thanks!!
I love gold, too! The darker green and purple look like killer baits, as well!
