- USC Trojan football coach Lincoln Riley says Trojans quarterback Miller Moss has been 'Lights Out' this spring. Despite Moss throwing a couple of interceptions in the USC football spring game on Saturday, Riley says Moss probably would be named the starter if the season started today. However, Riley says he's not ready to proclaim an official starter yet.
The USC football program is coming off two seasons where Caleb Williams was the starting quarterback, won a Heisman Trophy, and now he is positioned to be the first pick of the NFL Draft Thursday. Miller Moss stepped in and made his first career start in the Holiday Bowl win over Louisville where he grabbed everyone's attention by throwing 6 touchdown passes.

Now, USC football, along with Lincoln Riley and Miller Moss get ready to enter the Big Ten - the premiere college football conference!
In other news we ponder how much Name, Image and Likeness money it took Nebraska football to flip 5-star quarterback recruit Dylan Raiola from Georgia. It might be a big number!

Moss is legit! USC fan since 1974! Thanks for the great video...And nice way to introduce you folks to us SC fans!
Miller looked fantastic in the bowl game.... So if he is generally consistent (spring game interceptions notwithstanding, it's no surprise at all that he's declared starter, early on.
It is Miller Time. Miller Moss will be the best B10 QB this season. Fight On
He might be. A lot of questions with other teams and their QB’s!
Thanks for the kind words..fight on!
USC will be a playoff team. Moss was an unknown until he did his thing in the Holiday Bowl.
The guy is capable of moving the ball down the field. He will do it much differently than Caleb.
TE's, backs out of the backfield, a more present running game & elite wide receivers. He will have defenses on skates.
He likes to laugh a lot & at times doesn't come across as a leader yet he is.
Can’t wait to watch him!
No, we have watched him since high school so fyi...

Fight on ✌️
Fight on!
Nice touch for the social media adds! Loved it!
New to the channel, like what I see/hear! I've been a USC Trojans Fanatic since the '77 season when I was startin Jr High school. Miller will be fine; I highly doubt this will be Max Brown 2.0 as what happened to start the '16 season when we went into Jerry's World and let Bama throat punch us which led to Sam Darnold and a win in the '17 Rose Bowl over PSU.
Love the traditions and passion of the B1G! Lookin forward to our first trip to Kinnick! Ditto for the Big House and a Whiteout at PSU!
As for trophy games, may I suggest for games vs. Purdue it be called the Apollo Bowl with the trophy bein a Lunar Module (LM) in honor of Neil Armstrong...
Fight On!!
Dallas
Impressed with your show above and beyond normal stuff! Really cool sir..
Hi Craig, appreciate the coverage of USC....despite a very vanilla Spring Game I believe that Miller, who is a very intelligent QB and knows the system, is likely to be good this season 'if' SC figures out the RT spot....they are missing at least one Olineman and the portal is nearly done, so a source of concern. The Dline is still missing 1-2 inside bodies also, the back end looks good.
Welcome to the Big 10. Thrilled to have you.
I couldn't continue watching past 3 minutes. It's not "Souther Cal." It's USC, SC, Southern California, Trojans, 11 time National Champs, or the only 8 heisman winner U.
I feel the K-State QB did not come to SC due to Moss's killer game at the Holiday Bowl! Good for Moss!
Luv Rice's hoops gm; rooting for MR and Ballo, individually, as they each matriculate (eventually) to the NBA.
Miller looked decent in the bowl game, got bailed out by a couple amazing receiver plays. I think this will be an amazing QB battle though with Jayden Maiava.
I'm still skeptical about Moss. I gotta see how he looks vs. LSU
The offense for us will be fine. We’re more interested in the defense, and by all accounts, it’ll be much better than it has been for the last 6 years. Will it be a top 25 defense this year? Probably not, but they can be a top 40 defense this year, and next year they can improve to a top 25 defense. The key takeaway I have from Saturday’s spring game was that the defense looked disciplined. Players knew their assignments and weren’t running around like the keystone cops. They played as a unit, and not 11 individuals. 9-3 or even 10-2 is a possibility this year. I’m looking forward to playing in the new conference. Fight On!
Great take! Thanks.
All 3 QBs had WRs running wide open all game. They combined for an 80% completion rate. maiava topped out at 95% (15 for 17). Secondary looked weak in coverage.
@@user-xp6qd4sk1j you’re on crack. The defense, specifically the secondary looked much improved from last spring. Your bias against USC is showing. As I said, the defense can be a top 40 defense, not a top 25 defense this year. The new coaching staff on defense is top notch, as opposed to the previous staff. Alex Grinch is long gone to Wisconsin, so he’s their problem now. If you can’t see that, then you’re on crack in my opinion.
@@MrDellasc Haven't a clue how inept your secondary was last year. If this is an improvement it was below the bottom of the barrel last year. You secondary gave up a 75% completion rate in spring game. WRs were wide open all the time. Three of the four ints were due to bad decision making by the QB or a terrible throw. Last one in the end zone. Did the receiver or DB make first contact with the ball causing deflection?
@@user-xp6qd4sk1j our secondary was atrocious last year, with players out of position, and missing tackles. That wasn’t the case Saturday. Are they going to be the 1972 or 2004 USC teams? No they aren’t, but they will be much improved on defense. Out of curiosity, what is your school?
I’m not so worried about Moss’s spring game, I don’t think he struggled, I genuinely think the defense has stepped up, Williams threw a pick against a Lynn defense with less talent and now Lynn and Henny have a lot better group of talent than Lynn had at UCLA
USC will be a playoff team this year. Yes I said it.
USC got a lot of db transfers that are 6'2 plus and long. With a lot of playing experience. Also imo only Ohio State has the receiver core on USC par. They have 4 really good sophomore wrs. Who a few of them has gotten bigger. Jakobe Lane. Remember that name. We need more dt depth. Hopefully we get at least 2 by the end of the spring transfer portal. Looks sus rn. But we do got a freshman. Who was 260 lbs few months back. Who is 300lb specimen now but he's still a true freshman. Only so much you can expect from that. Also yeah going to sub. Simply cause USC is in the conference and you sound respectful
Very respectful!! Can’t wait!
According to the untrained eye.
LSU is getting smoked first game of the season! ✌🏼⚔️
Hope so.
As far as USC's defensive rebuild..... People are being a bit critical on it right now... Something that's still going to be terrible. Not even average. But remember her we're just a couple weeks into practice! They really have the right staff... And are approaching fitness and discipline differently... They're not going to have the top defensive roster overnight.... But I think the defense is going to be better than a lot of people expect.
Looking forward to the season. Thanks for checking in!
That's why I bet on JJ in January he was 6000 to 1.
Moss will stay within the offense as Caleb often did not- Just sayin...
Moss may turn out to be pretty good but USC is undersized on both lines of scrimmage and at RB when it comes to playing in the Big Ten. They’ll go 7-5 and lose to the likes of Minnesota, Rutgers, and Wisconsin. They will get bullied at the line of scrimmage all season.
