They must have sold the other half of the tree to someone else so hopefully they will call the store too and be able to get the second half of the tree when they do!

I think an antihaul is interesting. Was watching while I was getting ready to go to hobby lobby and walmart. Putting tree up today wooohooo. So excited. I went to the closest target to me (which is N hour away) last night. Only to find all the christmas was sitting in boxes not on shelf. Of course every item i went in for. Always. But excoted to see you found the cedat pick at hobby lobby just what i was looking for. Crosding fingers mine has them.

I did get those trees u showed last year. I love those kinds of videos because i have to drive 45 min to any kind of decor store besides walmart and it helps to decide where to go. Thanks - I'm going to have to get creative this year! In years past I've done sweatshirts from a local tshirt shop, beer from local breweries, local zoo membership (not a small buisness, but local), giftcards to local businesses, local made candles and such!

My mom does get a stocking each year so that's a great idea! I usually use the dollar tree stockings so she can take it with her but she definitely wouldn't mind leaving her stocking with me :)

Yeah I feel like it’s run out and buy this and that. lol I don’t know about you all, but my husband is happy when I donate. Because it’s one less tote to put away. I do like upgrading my decor though and new is always nice. But a total redo can be costly. Make a plan. Myself I’m going to not go to crazy on decorating. Simple not clutter. I’m having knee surgery and it’s going to be a lot to put Christmas away. I like having pieces I can keep out till spring. I’m in the great white north so it’s snowy for along time. Greenery is something I keep up. ❤ have a wonderful Thanksgiving everyone. Let’s not forget we have that holiday too.

I haven’t checked Michaels yet; their trees have always been expensive so I honestly just wrote them off! I guess If this new tree doesn’t work out though, I’ll be heading there!

I pretty much feel that for the most part anything that’s studio McGee at target is a anti haul only because I see it in every video …, except for this one 😊
I love the idea of an anti popular holiday decor video. I don’t think it’s negative at all. I think it’s actually pretty important. First off, money. We don’t need to buy buy buy. Better yet, find something thrifted or gifted or from nature and make it into a fabulous find and you’ll appreciate it so much more and won’t be filling up the landfills. There’s such a push to do like everyone else does and it really makes people boring. Yes, those decor items may be beautiful and designed beautifully, however being individual and showing your style makes it so much more appealing. I like to watch your videos for inspiration because you are different from the mainstream influencers out here on RUclips.

Do more people use faux trees these days? I grew up in Oregon and live in Washington, and so maybe it's just the PNWer in me that clutches her pearls (clutches her holly berries?) at the idea of anything other than a real tree 😂 I can definitely see the pros and cons of both!

I would love to see an anti-hall I try to stay away from the trends like Ray Dunn for example. I think all these trends are cute I just am wondering if they’re going to age well? But I respect everyone’s choice in choosing holiday that speaks to their heart.I try to stay more traditional and timeless. A lot of the modern decorations remind me of the 1960s when I was a little girl. They don’t fit with what my holiday vision is. So I would be interested to hear what other people are doing. Isn’t that the fun? Seeing all the different styles.
Yes Tracie, definitely everyone must do what speaks to their own heart! People have different reasons for decorating too - some want to feel like a kid again, some what their kids to experience a certain feeling, some what it to just look pretty. Hard to say what will stand the test of time for each individual, but I definitely think we can predict what is overall going to be classic or on trend in general!

The store is refunding me, but the tree is no longer available so I had to get something different. A lesson to always check your boxes when you buy a tree on clearance!
