The Jackson Sisters (not to be confused with Jackson sisters, LaToya, Janet, and Rebbie who were the siblings to American soul group the Jackson Five) were an American soul and disco family group in the 1970s. The group hailed from Compton, California but were based in Detroit, Michigan.
The Jackson Sisters comprised of Jacqueline Jackson-Rencher, Lyn Jackson, Pat Jackson, Rae Jackson and Gennie Jackson. They recorded material for the Tiger Lily Records label, obtaining some modest success in the 1970s. However the group really came into their own nearly a decade later, following the emergence of the rare groove scene in the UK. Many of their songs were written by Johnny Bristol. Bobby Taylor, produced and co-wrote their rare groove anthem, "I Believe In Miracles", in 1976. The track reached #72 in the UK Singles Chart in June 1987. The original version was released in 1973 and performed by Mark Capanni for Jazzman record.

1Hr later while reading a story about Dj KingTech from the Bay Area I learned the first song he played on his new 1990 show was "I Believe In Miracles" by the Jackson Sisters. I've never heard of either and daaaaamn. I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES!!!!

Mark Capanni wrote 'I Believe in Miracles' and apparently recorded his version 14 months before the Jackson Sisters version. It seems certain that Mark's is the first recording of 'I Believe in Miracles', even though the Jackson Sisters were the first to release it.
