An amazing technique demonstrated so perfectly and to stunning effect. It would be good to know some technical info such as: the weight of the paper, type of paper and colours used. Always love watching Lena at work. Thanks :)
@@lenagemze662 thanks, Lena. I've shown your videos to some members of my art group and we may be focussing on your technique. It makes watercolour so exciting to use! Thanks for the inspiration. 😊

Thank you! The oldest is more than 30 years. But I still use them for painting and I still love them. And here in Denmark most people are wearing only black, and it depresses me. So I have to colourup life.
This is truly stunning, and beautiful!! With just a few colors if that, the sweeping technique, this is absolutely gorgeous. Thank you for sharing your technique in watercolors! I've just subscribed, and am honored to have found you!!😘💖🎨🌹
Even if I die and go to Heaven, this magic will not happen. I am a watercolour artist. Reminded me of Clint Eastwood in the movie"For a few dollars more". AWESOME.
The paper is cardboard and not made for watercolouring. It does not suck very much paint - it runs on the surface during the process. The water in one tub is usually a little dirty (Then I can see, where I put the water on the paper. The other is clean if i.e. I want to add yellow colour, otherwise it will not turn out yellow.
Thank you! In this video I don't use watercolour paper, but cardboard 470g. It is coated with chalk on both sides, and is much cheaper than watercolour paper.
Hola saludos de Brazil ,muy interesante la forma que usted pinta,me gustaría saber que tipo de papel usa para pintar y la primera camada que usa antes de aplicar la pintura es sólo agua?
Dear Beth. Thank you! Yes I know about Daniels Smiths watercolours and I love them. He has created a lot of tubes where the pigments are enemies. The one I love the most is Cascade Green because it separates in green and turquoise. But on my videos I think I never used his colours.
Thank you. Water in both! One with dirty water which enables me to see where I put the water at the beginning. The other is with clean water to enable clear colours.
I use some kind of carton with a thin layer of clay. This carton is very cheep, and maybe you can get it in all kinds of office or art stores. It is just normal professional water colour. I don't know if you can use acrylic - I never did - but try it out!!!

This is just amazing! Your work is so beautiful and inspiring I would love to try watercolor. May I ask what was in the two buckets was it only water? The only reason I ask is that I see you dip in each one so I didn't know if one had something else in it. Also can you please tell me which paper you were using and size? Thank you again for sharing your amazing talent and I love the music it is so peaceful and relaxing. Have a wonderful Friday.
Thank you Paul. One bucket has dirty water. It enables me to se where on the paper I put the water (It is very difficult with clean water). It is a kind of cardboard 490 g or 770 g but not made for watercolour. It is blank but not shining and it makes the colour run very fast.
@Freed1 Some say so. Why not give it a try. With lots of water, you might even succeed painting on could pressed paper (not less than 300 g). I just started experimenting with stone paper and it looks great with the mastercard and less water.
Wow, I´m amazed!!!!! So beautiful and smooth! Don´t know if I can write in swedish? In another video I saw you using tiny bottles with a small opening with already mixed colour in, where do you buy those?
Hej Linda.

Stunning. Can you tell me...in your first tub you obviously have water...whats in the smaller second tub you dipped your brush into? X
Both are with water. If the water is a bit dirty, I can better see, where the paper is wet in the beginning,
Even if I die and go to Heaven, this magic will not happen. I am a watercolour artist. Reminded me of Clint Eastwood in the movie"For a few dollars more". AWESOME.
Thank you - keep on painting and you will be surprised. Only a question of practicing!!
just mesmerising to watch - is the paper hot pressed and why 2 tubs of water does one have something extra in it ????
