The bible is not even constructed with a slurry of plausibility. Not one single supernatural claim in the bible has been even slightly demonstrated as accurate. And most have been disproved. The majority of biblical scholarship holds that those supernatural claims are mythical or non-literal (at best). Even OT scholars don't hold that the exodus, creation nor flood actually happened -- and science disproves all three (it's not that we don't have empirical proof, it's that we have proof that they did NOT happen as described). That's why we have a lot of similarity with many species. It doesn't necessarily mean we are related. It means that it makes sense that if you wanted to create an ape and a human, you would use a lot of similar genes. The differences however are astronomical. And actually, being an "ape" is not a problem for creation, it's just a type of classification.
