Can we talk about how Etho went in, played a perfect Etho-caliber game, and walked out with a card and Scar went in, played the most Scar-chaotic-mess game, and walked out with a tome.
A tome *and two crowns.* Etho got no crowns from his run. To be fair, Scar's run there was the first time a hermit was able to go in having had the experience of one run already. But still, the fact that it was so wildly successful and so wildly chaotic is so delightful.
@@r97bxjc988There's an iron golem on level two. Not sure what the golem is for, but the repair kit is just a retextured iron ingot to repair the golem.
I think Scar had the best quote of the day. "Ok, ok let's keep an eye on this. We gotta be smart, we got to be Etho smart. We're cool, we're calm, we're chugging maple syrup".
I fully concur with Scar's speech at 2:50:24, this project is the single greatest creation on not just Hermitcraft, but Minecraft overall. It is the PERFECT mix of redstone genius, mad-scientist ideas, and beautiful aesthetics and you should be incredibly proud of every single block that makes this absolute masterpiece
It's absolutely incredible that Etho's (max hazard) first run ever that he flew through was immediately followed by Scar being unable to use his eyes for 5 minutes straight
@@qingxinn_ Etho's run was at 1:54:55, Scar's was right after at 2:15:45, and I believe his fumbling was just after 2:24:00. He wasn't looking at the compass and couldn't figure out where to throw it.
i think its a testament to the incredible level design in this. a huge part of the game is that you can have different play styles that work, and you simply build your deck according to your play style. and that's something that's incredibly hard to get right in a game like this because its hard to balance the game in such a way that there isn't one go-to play style that works best. the fact that those two styles that were so wildly different both worked out is proof that Tango nailed it.
I loved Bdubs sooooo much! He was so excited. Every time he sees the Ravagers his little exclamations. Then the whole "I am the King! I am the King! AHHHHHHHH!"
Any one else sit smiling like a loser for the whole 8 hours because your happy at how much the hermits and stream are appreciating the work Tango put into this and how happy it's making Tango to see it too
Yea when scar was saying things like nothing can be compared to decked out I think htgc was just as hard to create. But I agree with htgc, decked out 2 and the empires crossover this will be one of the most memorable of all the seasons.
@@kathyayinips3153 I think that HTCG was more artistically difficult, those cards were genuinely incredibly designed. But Decked Out is definitely more technologically difficult. It's truly incredible that this stuff is even possible in mostly vanilla MC.
1:56:56 "I've been waiting 13 months for this moment" It's amazing just how legendary Etho is. Even Tango gets gitty for Etho more than any other Hermit.
Scar throwing the embers into the snow in the shop is actually a really good game design example. Because the way you interact with basically everything in the entire game is to throw something on the ground for a hopper to pick up, so I think that mistake is super reasonable to make. The compass thing was just hilarious panicking, I think. Poor guy, still made it out, still juked the beasties. GG we have no choice but to stan our favorite hermitcraft himbo
Yeah and hes not wrong either. I still can't think of another build that is this all around impressive. There are more impressive bases, and more impressive redstone, but both of them together? And then adding in the graphics and sound design, the level design, mechanics etc. Absolutely nuts
@@andrewbloom7694it’s impressive because of the meta accomplishment of creating a genuinely fun and exciting game within a game. One that is insane in just how polished and well thought out the mechanics are, has great replay value, complexity of level design, and potential for diverse player strategies. Decked could be its own game entirely.
The tears of joy that Tango had as Scar put his first shard in and everyone watched the door open made my day. So proud of all of the work and how everything came together. Way to go 🎉
I normally dont comment. Did I hesitate clicking on a 8hour video? Yes. Am I now 3hours in and I have both laughed loud and cried? Also yes, Everything about this, Tangos genuine joy, the hermit reactions, the already legendary clips, scars speach, etho beating the dungeon, the hermits directly going to work on a waiting room. This is the essence of community and why we love you all so much. Seeing the support chat was giving as well, I have chills!
Unrelated in video game sense but related in video length sense I clicked on a longplay video of final fantasy 13 which was over 30 hours with the intention of watching in groups of sessions so imagine my surprise when I realized I watched 15 hours over the course of 2-3 days

The fact that tango has created a game that is not only fun to play, but entertaining to watch is super impressive. When I first heard all of your plans for Decked Out 2, I thought they were a bit too crazy to be done in one season. You have completely surpassed my expectations. Amazing work Tango. Edit: I cried when scar took tango aside and talked to the stream. So sweet.
I imagine he's trying to teach people to find the button themselves since he always closes it behind him too. Also the game would yell at him for not taking his items.
He is also so used to break easter egg room wall to get in and out from Decked Out lobby, he never thought Hermits dug a doorway to first prototype of the waiting room build and he kept going back to break the wall, only to fly by other hermits who works at the waiting room. xD
There is no button on the outside of the door. The only way in is with a shard. He only breaks the door when someone forgot to set spawn so no one is in the room to press the button. The other wall he leaves through doesn’t have a door until he builds one with a calibrated skulk sensor later in the stream

That was a lot of fun to watch live! One of my favorite parts, weirdly, was seeing Grian, Bdubs and others spontaneously come up with the idea of making a waiting room and then building one in record time. It really shows that they are all engaged with Decked Out and plan to be around the game a whole bunch. I do hope you'll manage to implement a faster way to set yourself up to watch the game (an enderpearl teleporter was mentioned, and would probably be a good idea). Having to fly back and forth between the machinery and missing out on a bunch of the chatter was a small (a very small!) downside to yesterday's stream. EDIT: Also, the stream peaked at almost 20k viewers! I looked up the TangoTek channel stats at the start of the stream and I'm pretty sure a previous record of 14-15k viewers from 2020. So great to see.
They'll be playing it a lot, but at the moment it looks like they're barely going to put out content around it. They seem to be treating it like just another minigame that they're playing and include bits of it in their videos - and cut out massive parts - like it's business as usual. I wish they treated it like a standalone game with all the glory and attention that it deserves, preserving as many of the reactions as possible. But they probably don't realize just how in-depth and exclusive their runs will be and how diverse their strategies will become.
@@Muskar2let's make sure to ask in their comment sections for more decked out! They are also probably trying to be careful of overloading us with what some may think as "samey" content
My favorite runs so far are Etho just conquering the dungeon first try, Gem's reactions to everything, and Impulse somehow surviving everything the dungeon threw at himdespite him just fumbling through it.
I fully agree with Scar's sentiment when he took over your stream for a minute: This is, hands down, the single greatest feat that anyone has ever achieved in survival Minecraft. There is no comparison that even comes close. The sheer amount of creativity, perseverance, knowledge, technical prowess, and utter determination that was required to create this game is simply astounding. Bravo Tango! Embrace and enjoy all of the praise you're getting because it's so very well earned! I cannot wait to download this world at the end of the season and be able to play it myself!! I hope you someday create this concept as its own standalone game for people to buy and play!
The game is awesome and Tango is a genius for being able to create it. I would say 13 months to wait was well well worth it. Congratulations Tango and hopefully this is a massive weight lifted off your shoulders!!
2:49:26 😭The Joy I can't, seeing him so happy is the best of all this, after all that suffering alone in the dungeon and now he gets to be with his buddies. This is like the most wholesome story ever... Mah heart 😭❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank god for vod channels! This has to be one of the most anticipated things in HC history! Been an awesome journey seeing it constructed, and happy to see people finally getting to enjoy it! Amazing job Tango! Decked out will probably forever be cemented as one of the most greatest/ambitious vanilla survival MC games!
just watching this and seeing all the donations! The $1000! it makes me tear up. You deserve it Tango! You have worked sooo sooo hard on this and deserve every dollar and every sub.
After 13 months of blood sweat and tears building this monstrosity, I wanna see the hermits grinding the heck out of _Decked Out 2_ for 13 months as well.
I think I heard one of the hermits say Tango is currently planning on 10 weeks? Something like that. I really don't remember the specifics, but that was the gist of it.
@@lightning_11 agreed, but tango also spent 13 months creating it. I bet he'll pass the dungeon master key off to someone else. Maybe come back later? I'd put my money on etho running it next.
I was there since the minute 0 till the end. Every seconds of it is superfun! The live polls, the comments, all the hermits reaction. Want to give you some pie but my card got hack so here it is. jussst a bit late.
This is the coolest thing ever to be made in Minecraft. It is a masterpiece! The build alone is amazing, but there is also a whole game built into it!? It is insane, you are insane. Well done Tango!
13 months of efforts each second paid off seeing all the hermits reactions and episode we had a great journey see you build Tango of the tek variety along with Tango's cough , The amazing hats during the stream, the cameo of Mrs Tango, Enjoyed each second of your content. ♥️🌻 RUclips is not letting me pay 314.159
It would be so silly if you set up a little “hermit cam” similar to a cat cam so we can watch what they’re doing whenever they’re in the waiting room. I would love to look in the corner and see the queue running around like little bugs
I'm pretty sure there were more wins. Impulse, for example, won twice, I think. Others got wins on their second try like scar, too. I don't remember the specifics though.
As much as everyone says Etho is the best (cause he is) I think it's really interesting that Grian also got two out of three, Gem got two out of four and Impulse won both of his runs. Those where not the people I thought would just go and do that. Also, thank you for making this list. It's really handy :)
It would be so cool if Tango could invite the Empires crowd to experience decked out 2 some time. Since they had the crossover already. Man warden sounds in your storage room is so scary Tango lol
Artefact pickup should be left "Global" so ANYONE in the Waiting Lobby and Hermit Cupboards can HEAR that. Definitely helps build the hype and anticipation for those waiting

Currently making my kids some Christmas ornaments as a farewell gift and decided that this nostalgia trip would be the perfect thing to get me through several hours of beadwork. This is still the best stream I've ever watched and I vividly remember being SO excited for each new Decked Out stream and video. Thanks for these awesome memories Tango, you did something truly amazing with this game.
what scar said about this game i agree with, not only on hermitcraft, this project is probably the biggest and most complex one that anyone single person has managed to get done in the whole minecraft story. i would like to see how many redstone components are placed there
YES! The VOD everyone was waiting for! It was insanity watching this live, my face hurts from smiling so much. Seeing so many hermits happy and excited, and Tango's work paying off is just sooooo wholesome and moving! :) THANK YOU for the best content ever made
I can’t help myself, I’ve been watching DO related vods again!😂❤ I’ve seen this one more than 3 times now, still in love. It’s officially been a year since DO times, I remember freaking out last year when the wardens escaped while I was watching the phasmo crew, and cheering when Grian helped find how they escaped. Good times, loving the new HC season but can never stop missing DO of course. I’m too nostalgic for my own good lol!❤
@@mme.veronica735 lol. He's the kind of guy to explore the dungeon instead of simply focusing on what to do. Even Tango said last time how Etho was the only one to find a majority of hidden crevices and spaces across the dungeon because he went out of his way to explore waterfall backs and bottoms.
I unfortunately worked an exactly 8 hour shift that made me miss this stream. I sing my praises for the second channel VODs all the time but it really came in handy for this one! I’m so glad you all had so much fun with the grand opening!
I cleared my weekend schedule and watched the whole stream yesterday - loved every second of it! Tango this game is such an incredible achievement and I’m so glad you’ve gotten so much support from everyone - hermits and fans. It’s so deserved!
The room they are making for a queue just shows you how absolutely excited they are to play your game. I am sorry to have missed the stream but I am sitting here crafting and listening on RUclips. This is epic. I’m so excited. ❤
It's rare that I will watch an entire 8-hour VOD but here we are! Amazing work tango, I know it feels great to see it all come together! Keep making great content!
This has been a journey, hasn't it? I am following this project since the very beginning and it's a great pleasure seeing all come together. This has been 8 enormously fun hours and the longest video I've ever watched in one sitting. Great job. Fantastic job. Hats off!
This is personal RUclips history right here. I've been watching every DO2 video, and have never watched any video for 8 hours. And I still need more 😂 Absolute respect for the grind and creativity. Omega outta 10.
So happy for you Tango! Watched the whole thing live and just absolutely enjoyed the pure excitement you had for hours upon hours. All your hard work and dedication comes to fruition in a spectacular way. Those that played during that first day clearly had so much fun. All the separate systems (sounds, builds, redstone, etc) made for the perfect immersive experience.
Two months later and DO2 is still going strong. No Tango stream tonight so I decided to come watch this amazing stream again. It was such a privilege to see it live. The vibe was immaculate, and watching Tango grin ear to ear for a whole 8 hours, enjoying the fruit of 10 months of hard work made me as a fan absolutely giddy. This game is something to be proud of, not just for the mind boggling redstone behind it or the magnificent build, but because it really feels like it brought the Hermitcraft server as a whole together. There's a sense of community and friendship here that I haven't felt since the charity stream. It's also helped me discover some other amazing content creators that weren't really on my radar before, like Hypno. All that's just a very long-winded way to say Decked Out is my favorite game to watch right now and Tango you have every reason to be proud of what you've created here. Thank you for sharing this wonderful creation with us and providing not only your audience, but the HC community as a whole with quality entertainment. We appreciate you and all the hard work you put in. Also Willie is employee of the year.
This was the absolute best stream since watching the gamers outreach fund raiser. So exciting. I think there were at least 6 hype trains, none below a level 8. I was grinning so hard and had so much fun. You deserve all the love
I don't normally watch 8 hour videos but so much fun to watch the hermits go through each run. Can't wait to watch their POV's too. Thanks so much for making Decked Out!!! ❤❤
I love how wholesome this is! You can feel how truly excited Tango is and how blown away all the other hermits are. I have spent most of my free time watching DO2 videos and have enjoyed watching tango's elation at his friends having fun with his creation. I am very happy for you Tango, of the tek variety.
Always with Etho, he gets the unintentional hard runs XD This man is insanely unlucky and skilled so he makes everything look easy, regardless of the challenge.
After almost 8 hours of watching, this is still just brilliant. Seeing how excited you are as the other hermits play has been beyond worth it. Amazing job Tango.
It's super cool how the heartbeat naturally slows down after a run -- it's such a cool detail, and the fact that it just happens because of the design is awesome. I didn't make it to the stream, but this vod ate my entire Sunday afternoon lol
I have too many favorite moments from watching this, but my top 3 are Scar making Tango crazy over his non compassing skills, Bdubs in general, including during the making of the waiting room and his "I'm right here, I made horse!" and Impulse's entire run, especially the verticality moment. I can't believe how many close calls and lucky moments so many of them had. Congratulations Tango, this is a work of pure genius and so magical.
Nearly 8 hours of pure awesomeness, but I think the best moment might actually be 6:40:45 as Grian starts to push Tango's lifeless character towards their queue contraption.
I can't believe i just watched nearly 8h of that.... and enjoyed it sooo much.... I'm really thinking about watching all of the building videos... It is sooo amazing.. what an amazing job.. wow...
the building streams were the best! the debugging, the evolution of the game and getting to see how Tango's redstone mind works... they were so fun to watch. I hope you watch some of the streams
You're a legend Tango! It's been amazing watching the (long) journey of you creating this incredible project from S7 until now. You should be super proud!
It's great to see the hermits finally get to play this for real. I'd also say I think the level 1 game balance seems pretty good - after the first bunch of failed runs we started seeing a lot more success. I'm looking forward to seeing everybody build out their decks and start making their way to the lower levels. Still hoping someone else will fall for the ice trap. It was amazing when you got Zed with it. Also good job rigging up those hazard doors to close in Etho's face. Who knew calibrated sculk sensors had an Etho-only mode?
There are three great challenges of game design in Hermitcraft:
1. Is it Scar Safe?
2. Is it Grian Proof?
3. Is it Etho Approved?
Well, 2/3 isn’t bad XD
In all honesty nothing can ever truly be Scar Safe
i think it was already Etho approved the moment tango told him he's making decked out again
@@coltwing6661 Well, making something Scar Safe would simply require making sure no one can throw things where they shouldnt be thrown in, making sure that inventories are empty on entry except for (farmable) items that can be despawned. Generally Grian Proofing the redstone will also make the redstone Scar Safe.
Because lets be honest, Grian would have also thrown in his items towards the armor stand. It's not Grian Proof, and therefor it instantly isnt Scar Safe.
That is impossible goal to achieve.
Nothing can ever truly be Scar safe.

Cringe asf.

The dungeon is so scared that he start at max Clank on 1st run and with vexes on second

i thought etho got level one?
@@cowboyliketalya yes he is, but his hazard was really high which can happen on any level, but you need to be very unlucky to get it
the fact Etho and Scar had those two winning runs so close together with such incredibly different, um, "styles".... positively incredible.
i think its a testament to the incredible level design in this. a huge part of the game is that you can have different play styles that work, and you simply build your deck according to your play style. and that's something that's incredibly hard to get right in a game like this because its hard to balance the game in such a way that there isn't one go-to play style that works best. the fact that those two styles that were so wildly different both worked out is proof that Tango nailed it.

Between Beefs HTCG and Decked Out, this season of hermit craft is insane
Plus the ice raceway and Beef adding a HTCG battle royale! This season is awesome.
Yea when scar was saying things like nothing can be compared to decked out I think htgc was just as hard to create. But I agree with htgc, decked out 2 and the empires crossover this will be one of the most memorable of all the seasons.
Just imagine.. scarland and scabland aren't even finished yet and Beef is still working on TCG battle Royale 😅
@@kathyayinips3153 I think that HTCG was more artistically difficult, those cards were genuinely incredibly designed. But Decked Out is definitely more technologically difficult. It's truly incredible that this stuff is even possible in mostly vanilla MC.
@@shipwreck9146 I agree decked out must have been really really hard to construct.
1:56:56 "I've been waiting 13 months for this moment" It's amazing just how legendary Etho is. Even Tango gets gitty for Etho more than any other Hermit.
2:24:43-2:28:27 - Scar manages to drop the compass everywhere but the hopper for FIVE MINUTES

That's genuinely amazing
and then he casually leaves the dungeon with the artifact like vexes aren't a thing hahaha GOLD

i'm literally pulling my hair out lmaooo
I love how Gem was there for the entire stream. She’s my absolute favorite and her positivity makes my day
Scar throwing the embers into the snow in the shop is actually a really good game design example.
His reaction after being told he wasn't supposed to throw it in the snow was still the best though 😂

Tango: I expect everyone to die on their first two runs.
Etho: Did you forget who I am?
Scar: I got inspired by my father.
Grian: And I - by my uncle.
Scar: You have my bow
Grian: and my sword
Impulse: and *my* AXE!
Scar's positive affirmation at 2:50:25 is soo wholesome. And yes he is correct - DO2 is THE GOAT project in minecraft and Tango is a legend.
I just loved Bdubs reaction
2:50:24 Scar's heartfelt speech to the chat about Tango... They are such good friends damn I am emotional...
Yes, me too, I had a little cry. It was so beautiful 🥹
Way to go 🎉
The tears of frustration Tango had when Scar threw the compass though 😂
deserved joy for sure
"For people who don't know the dungeon they're gonna get wrecked by the Revengers at the beginning"

Everything about this, Tangos genuine joy, the hermit reactions, the already legendary clips, scars speach, etho beating the dungeon, the hermits directly going to work on a waiting room. This is the essence of community and why we love you all so much. Seeing the support chat was giving as well, I have chills!
I was thinking the same thing. Nearly 8 hours later and I can't wait to watch todays.
Unrelated in video game sense but related in video length sense I clicked on a longplay video of final fantasy 13 which was over 30 hours with the intention of watching in groups of sessions so imagine my surprise when I realized I watched 15 hours over the course of 2-3 days
My husband, “are you still watching the same game?!” Me “I have been waiting for over a year watching being made! You bet I am watching every run” 😂

So sweet.
I love how tango keeps breaking the door to leave the starting room for decked out instead of just pressing the button above the door
I imagine he's trying to teach people to find the button themselves since he always closes it behind him too. Also the game would yell at him for not taking his items.
Eventually he builds a secret door, but then he has to trouble shoot why it isn’t working reliably 😬
@@Mekrinel not that door. The one into the dungeon. He dies multiple times and respawns in the starting room but breaks the door to get out
He is also so used to break easter egg room wall to get in and out from Decked Out lobby, he never thought Hermits dug a doorway to first prototype of the waiting room build and he kept going back to break the wall, only to fly by other hermits who works at the waiting room. xD
There is no button on the outside of the door. The only way in is with a shard. He only breaks the door when someone forgot to set spawn so no one is in the room to press the button. The other wall he leaves through doesn’t have a door until he builds one with a calibrated skulk sensor later in the stream

People think the sounds in a game are a small thing but they add much needed atmosphere and tango has mastered this perfectly 10/10

This is, hands down, the single greatest feat that anyone has ever achieved in survival Minecraft. There is no comparison that even comes close. The sheer amount of creativity, perseverance, knowledge, technical prowess, and utter determination that was required to create this game is simply astounding.

It's great to see Tango's perspective to Scar's difficulties to drop the compass
This scale of this accomplishment is insane, huge congratz Tango! You should be proud
If your talking about scale, the projects that you do are crazy too! But this is a crazy accomplishment!
The hermits haven't even seen half of it yet!
I love how proud Tango is of his work and how much he enjoys everyone playing his game. so wholesome!
what scar said about this game i agree with, not only on hermitcraft, this project is probably the biggest and most complex one that anyone single person has managed to get done in the whole minecraft story. i would like to see how many redstone components are placed there
Etho has a mind for puzzles, he's that good.
I can not wait for him to see that trapped chest in the water on the first level and get himself stuck under the ice
LABYRINTH OF PUZZLESSS
I unfortunately worked an exactly 8 hour shift that made me miss this stream. I sing my praises for the second channel VODs all the time but it really came in handy for this one! I’m so glad you all had so much fun with the grand opening!
Almost a year later, reliving this MAGIC. Thank you forever Tango!!
I cleared my weekend schedule and watched the whole stream yesterday - loved every second of it! Tango this game is such an incredible achievement and I’m so glad you’ve gotten so much support from everyone - hermits and fans. It’s so deserved!
7:07:25 Impulse's run was SOOOO much more intense than his point of view shows
The room they are making for a queue just shows you how absolutely excited they are to play your game. I am sorry to have missed the stream but I am sitting here crafting and listening on RUclips. This is epic. I’m so excited. ❤
So glad for all the donations! You deserve it Tango. Can't wait for the world download! And I'm already excited for decked out 3 in 2028 😅
It's rare that I will watch an entire 8-hour VOD but here we are! Amazing work tango, I know it feels great to see it all come together! Keep making great content!
1:36:22 This my fav moment. Just how cheerful Grian becomes at the prospect of being the dungeon's next victim and the way he runs. It great :)
4:12:45 best moment of the entire stream. Etho absolute getting trolled
6:30:30 happens again xD
Poor etho.
It happened to him twice already, and the same thing happened to Cleo on Sunday, it was quickly called "getting Etho'd".
i miss decked out. im so glad i managed to catch this historic live as it aired, definitely not the last time ill be rewatching it..
God the sounds turned out sooooo well. The atmosphere in the dungeon from the players' POV is so perfectly eerie
It's so much fun to see their reactions. This is a project to be proud of. Well done, Tango!
Always with Etho, he gets the unintentional hard runs XD This man is insanely unlucky and skilled so he makes everything look easy, regardless of the challenge.
Never thought I would watch a 8 hour long Minecraft video but here we are. Amazing job tango
2:36:36 Grian Scar and the others talking about their little waiting hub project is so wholesome to me
After almost 8 hours of watching, this is still just brilliant.
Don't forget the waiting room and Etho winning very first time :D This stream was the best
zedaph @1:30:47 saying "yeah just turned up here" is so funny knowing he's been spying this whole time
Nearly 8 hours of pure awesomeness, but I think the best moment might actually be 6:40:45 as Grian starts to push Tango's lifeless character towards their queue contraption.
gem: "alright im gonna sleep soon, it's good to have an hour of non-minecraft before bed"
gem 2 hours later: "ok ill do one more run!"
This was my first stream that I caught live! It was so much fun! :) congratulations tango!
Probably one of the best Tango streams EVER
Might take me a few days to watch the entire vid, but I enjoy every moment of it.
THANK YOU!
the behind the scenes redstone guided tour should be called geeked out
I can't believe i just watched nearly 8h of that.... and enjoyed it sooo much....
7:14:40 Best Escape EVER!
Impulse just BARELY surviving the whole way on a half a heart after getting hit by a jumpscare Ravager!
