Great haul. Many good ones there, but the one that has me scratching my head is the Alberta Distillers release. I have never seen that. I hope you enjoy them all!
Every new whisky that I open is a new journey... I have some ten journeys to keep me traveling for a little while here.
Thats a nice haul. Wish we had something like this in Ontario. Instead this year we got a strike lol
The Premium Spirit Release is coming in November, and it's more popular than the Summer Spirit Release...
Nice. I got 2 bottles of the Aberlour 16 because that price looked amazing to me (also tried a sample in the store and it was great). And I also got a backup bottle of the SP 12, as mine is nearly empty. I also picked up the Glenlivet 12 200th Anniversary and lastly, the Crown Single Malt, which I literally just opened before watching this and so far, not impressed, as expected.
I found the Shelter Point 12 to be a bit closed when I first opened it, preferring the 10. Now, that first bottle of SP12 is coming into it's sweet spot after six months. That's why I got the backup bottle while I could. OK, I'm not expecting much from the Crown LOL
You're going to wish you bought a 2nd Torabhaig.
Now that Torabhaig has made it to these shores, I will have more opportunities to get some, I'm sure...
You will regret that Crown Single Malt . . .
Did you try it, and if so, did you hate it?
@@foodquig wayyyy too thin and short - a marketing disaster, really. For 90$ / Ontario, it is like a 5-6 yo highlnad scotch... I dont hate it - just over pay for a 50$ malt. . .
@@ironmantran Think I'll pour an Alberta Premium now... At least I didn't overpay for it.
@@foodquig remember to add a dab of that 66% AP cask strength , eh . . .
Merry Christmas Quig !!🤣🤣
BTW, what is the sample attached to your bottle of Alberta Premium?
The sample is Canadian Club Rye, and for about $500 CAD more I could have had Wiser's 42!
@@foodquig I guess that means that you'll be none the wiser.
@@goonbelly5841 Berry punny!
